Joel Austen began preaching in 1999, but his ministry began long before: in 1982, Osteen, left his studies, returned from Houston and invited his father to create a television ministry in LakeWood Church. He became the leader and inspirer of this ministry.

 Father preached, the son made video reports that everyone would like. Joel helped his father in organizing the ministry:

  • he prepared his father for the scene;
  • picked up suit and tie;
  • worked with lighting and video equipment in the hall, for best results.

Some details

He became the best assistant for his father, but throughout this time he did not preach - not one word from the scene - it's just impossible to believe now! The person who is considered as the most popular preacher in the world never preached until 1999! It's an incredible fact for me. Joel Osteen explains this: "I was very shy, and did not imagine myself as a preacher on this scene. I was completely satisfied with my work. " But John Osteen (Joel's father) was very persistent, he asked his son to start preaching again and again, but the son always politely refused. But once Joel agreed to his father’s persuasions. On the birthday of John, they talked on the phone and the father once again invited his son to preach. He again refused, and after the conversation, he felt something unusual in his chest and heard a voice: "Joel - you should do it." After that he called his father and announced his decision. The family was amazed, and Joel, as he said, had the worst 7 days in his life. He decided to try once to convince his father and himself that it was not his occupation. But it did not work out that way.

A few days later, the father went to the hospital and the first preaching of his son, with pride and tears in his eyes, he heard on the phone. In a few days more he passed away. Joel experienced a great shock, but he felt that he must go on stage and continue his father's ministry. And he did it.

Joel Osteen's first sermons were similar in style to his father's sermon, but after a while he decided that his sermons should become as accessible and understandable to everyone as possible. He wanted his preaching not to be abstruse, perhaps that's why you can’t see lots of biblical characters in them, but there is many simple theses.

So, in the beginning of 1999, Osteen became the chief pastor of the LakeWood church. At that moment, the church had about 6,000 parishioners, but due to the simplicity and positive attitude of Joel's sermons, the number of parishioners increased to over 40,000. And they decided to purchase a new spacious room for service. The new building for the church was Compaq Center.

Now his ministry gathers up to 30,000 people every week in the church and hundreds of thousands behind TV screens around the world. Just imagine: hundreds of thousands of spectators!

But as Joel Osteen's popularity grew, so did criticism about him. Many modern preachers criticize Osteen for the ministry in which well-being is placed first. Also Joel deliberately does not use such words as sin, devil, hell while he preaches. And as if in contrast to this often sound the theme of prosperity, both financial and family in his sermons. The preacher himself comments on the criticism as follows: "I almost never see or hear criticism, I do not read blogs and comments. Everyone I talk to, say that my sermons changed their lives. It is very important for me!"

Joel says that while preaching about prosperity he does not mean money as such, prosperity. In his understanding success is in all endeavors: in work, family, in the upbringing of children and in many other things. A characteristic feature of his services is the fact that he does not call for donating any finances to the church or to him directly. He is not a paid pastor in the church, the main source of earnings is royalties from the sales of his books. Joel Osteen, not just the world-famous preacher, he is also the author of several bestsellers. They inspire people no less sermons, that’s why their sales are very large.

From all the above, you could conclude that the main parishioners of the Church of Osteen are very rich people, but this is not so: you can see very influential people, members of the government in very expensive suits and ordinary people in trampled shoes on his services. This is explained by the availability and simplicity of the ministry and preaching of the pastor.

As we wrote, Joel Osteen's style is simplicity and accessibility for all, a minimum of criticism and a positive message in the life of the listener.

Today’s Scripture: Matthew 5:5, NIV - Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

Today’s Word: Meek doesn't mean weak. Meekness is strength under control. When you ignore someone's negative comments, when you don't pay attention to other people's insults and criticisms, you're not being weak; you're being meek. You have the power to fight, you have the strength to straighten them out and let them know how you feel, but your strength is under control. You're not wasting your time and energy on things that are not between you and your destiny. If you stay on the high road, God will take care of your enemies. He can defend you better than you can defend yourself. My message is very simple: Quit letting other people get you upset and steal your joy. You can't control what people do; you can't control what they say, but you can control how you respond. Quit letting their negative comments upset you. You're not defined by what they say. Don't give it the time of day. If you maintain your meekness, God will fight your battles.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You that I have the power to remain quiet because You have worked meekness into my life. Thank You that I can stay on the high road and let You take care of other people's comments and attitudes. I've made up my mind that I'm going keep my joy. In Jesus Name, Amen.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]" Matthew 11:28 AMP

TODAY'S WORD: Does your soul need refreshing today? God is constantly inviting us to step away from the hectic pace of life and come to Him to find rest for our souls. Are you facing challenges in your relationships? Finances? Career? God wants to refresh you. He wants to give you rest. Think about that for a moment. What would cause you to rest? If you knew everything was going to work out for your good, you would stop worrying. You would rest! Even if things don’t work out the way you planned or on your timetable, you can trust that God will turn things around in your favor. Today, make it a point to be still before God. Quiet your mind of all the things on your agenda and just focus on Him. Let Him love you, let Him speak to your heart, and let Him fill you with peace and strength each and every day??.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: Father, I come to You now and give You my cares and burdens. I thank You for working behind the scenes on my behalf. Thank You for loving me and setting me free. Thank You for giving me rest for my soul and peace in my heart today in Jesus' name. Amen.

Today’s Word: You may have had a rough start, but you don't have to have a rough finish. Better is the end. Don't keep dwelling on the negatives of the past. God is saying, Something better is coming. You may be going through a rough spot today, but better is coming. Don't cancel out the better by dwelling on the regrets, the failures, and what didn't work out. If your mind is always on yesterday, you're going to move in that direction. Better is coming, healing is coming, and breakthroughs are coming. You're not defined by your past; you're prepared by your past. If the past hadn't happened, you wouldn't be prepared for the better that is coming your way. You may have made some mistakes, but you can't do anything about what happened yesterday. Living with guilt is not going to make anything better. It's time to drop it. You'll not only feel a weight lift off of you, but you'll step into the better things God has in store.

TODAY'S WORD: Bitterness is an extremely destructive force that can poison your whole life. It seeps into the depths of your heart when you choose not to forgive someone. When you harbor unforgiveness, it closes the door to God's working in your life. The Bible even tells us that if we choose not to forgive others, God cannot even hear our prayers. Thank God that He has empowered us to forgive and release bitterness! You have the choice to get rid of bitterness so you can live in freedom! God sees every wrong that's ever been done to you. He sees every unfair situation. He'll bring justice into your life. Your attitude should be, "It may have been unfair. They may have done me wrong, but I refuse to get bitter." Forgive—drop it, leave it and let it go. When you do, God will heal your hurts and restore your broken pieces. He’ll pay you back for the injustice.

Today’s Word: Hebrews 12:1 says that seeing we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us run the race that is set before us. Can I tell you, all of heaven is cheering for you? You are not running alone. Heaven's grandstands are packed with people who believe in you. Jesus says that when you're discouraged and tempted to give up, look up and by faith hear the cheers from the heavenly saints. Imagine every morning if you received a personal text from Abraham, Sarah, David, Moses, Ruth, or Noah. When you woke up each day, there was a message telling you how much they believe in you and how you are well able to make it. After all that these heroes of the faith went through, their words carry some weight. If you could hear them, they're saying, Stay encouraged. Victory is coming. Favor is coming. We made it, and you're going to make it. God did it for us; He's going to do it for you.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You for the heroes of faith whose lives help show me how to live for You and who are cheering me on from heaven today. Thank You for their messages of perseverance and overcoming hardships. Help me to look up and listen and draw strength for my race. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Today's Scripture: "But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD." Genesis 6:8, NIV

Today's Word: The people in Noah's day were living wildly, partying, worshipping idols. God was so upset that He was about to destroy the earth through a great flood, but Noah found favor with God. Why did he find favor and not all the people around him? The next verse says, He walked faithfully with God. Noah could have just compromised like everyone else, but he made the choice to honor God and keep Him first place. There is a blessing on your life that will push you up when others are going down. God told Noah to build a 450-foot long ark. No one had heard of such a thing. It seemed impossible. But God will never ask you to do something and not give you the favor to do it. You have the favor. The question is, do you have the faith or are you talking yourself out of it? Remember that just one touch of God's favor will catapult you to a new level.

A Prayer for Today: “Father, thank You that You are the true and living God, and You reward those who honor You. Thank You that my obedience can never earn Your favor but it can lead to it. Help me to be bold, to dare to believe, and to dare to take some new steps of faith. In Jesus Name, Amen.”

Many people are living with hidden dreams, talent, and potential. My message today is very simple: Quit hiding what God has given you. When God breathed His life into you, He created you to shine, to make a difference, to leave your mark. Your gift isn't just for you; it's to share with the world. When we come to the end of life, nothing will be more disappointing than to think, What could I have become if I hadn't let fear hold me back? Life is short, so stir up what God put in you. Make the most of your talents, your dreams, your gifts. Don't let fear hold you back.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. Ephesians 3:20, NIV

TODAY'S WORD: Have you adapted to a limited environment? You have big dreams in your heart. You know there’s a new business in you, a management position, a book, a better house, but you’ve gone as far as your family members and friends have gone in the past. No, don’t settle there.

There is potential in you right now just waiting to come out. You have gifts that will cause new doors to open, talent that will bring new opportunities. Quit making excuses to settle where you are. You may be in a limited environment that includes dysfunction, addictions, and depression. The good news is, you don’t have to stay there. God is saying, “This is a new day. You’re a barrier breaker. I’m going to take you further faster than you’ve imagined. You’re going to defy the odds.” Now do your part. Let this seed take root in your spirit. Don’t talk yourself out of it. Get in agreement with God.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that I can get in agreement with You and believe that this is a new day with new doors to open and new opportunities before me. I believe that You are going to do immeasurably more than all I can ask or think. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Today’s Scripture: Psalm 139:14, NKJV - I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.

Today’s Word: There's a recording constantly playing in our mind that's telling us who we are. The problem for some people is that their recording is negative. It's been that way so long they don't realize it. Something is telling them over and over, you're not attractive, you don't have a good personality, you've made too many mistakes. They don't feel good about themselves because of what's playing. The good news is that you control your recording. You don't have to let those defeating thoughts keep playing. Take inventory of what's playing. Delete any thoughts of being unworthy, not good enough. Then put on a new recording. You'll be amazed at what happens when you go through the day playing what God says about you. Play the new recording, I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I'm a masterpiece. I'm marvelous. I'm one of a kind. When you look in the mirror in the morning, just start your day by saying, Good morning, you amazing thing. Good morning, you fearfully-and-wonderfully-made child of the Most High God.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You that You made me fearfully and wonderfully, in a way that is marvelous. Thank You that I am wonderful because I belong to You. I believe that nothing can hold me back from becoming the masterpiece You created me to be. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Today's Scripture: "So don't be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom. Luke 12:32, NLT.

Today's Word: We knew a very successful widowed man who remarried, and at the age of sixty-five found out they were going to have his first child. When his wife gave birth and he held his baby boy, he was overwhelmed and began to weep for joy. He looked his son in the eyes and said, I can't wait to give you my world. That's the way our heavenly Father feels about you. He's been thinking about you a long time. He didn't create you to be ordinary, to just make it through life. He's lined up amazing opportunities, good breaks, and the right people. He's saying to you, I can't wait to give you My world. His world is big, filled with joy, filled with favor, filled with blessings, and filled with love. In His world, you are His prized possession. What He has in store for you is going to boggle your mind. My question is, are you expecting your Father to give you the kingdom?

Prayer for Today: “Father, thank You that it is Your great happiness to give me the kingdom. I declare that as Your child I am coming to You for all the favor, joy, peace, and opportunities You have lined up for me. Thank You that You are my Father and I live in Your world. In Jesus Name, Amen.”

Joel Osteen (February-25-2021) Today's Word: Will You Wait for Them?

Today’s Scripture: Luke 15:20, NLT - And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.

Today’s Word: The prodigal son took his father's inheritance and wasted it all on wild living and partying. Yet when he finally came home, notice that his father was waiting for him. Despite what his son had done, I can imagine the father walking to the end of the driveway several times a day and looking for him. And seeing his son, the father ran out and hugged and kissed his son. Then he told his staff to throw a party and celebrate his son's return. Never once did the father bring up the son's faults. He didn't condemn him as undeserving. He was full of compassion, love, and restoring mercy. Sometimes we think we have to tell people everything they're doing wrong and change their mind, but the Holy Spirit is the one who convicts. Our job is to keep loving them when they don't deserve it, when they don't listen, and when they're making bad decisions. Keep praying and encouraging them. They're in the process of changing. Today may be their turning point.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You for waiting for me with a heart of compassion, love, and restoring mercy. Thank You that You have called me to have that same heart and attitude for all the people in my life. Help me to wait for them, to love and encourage them, and to be there for them. In Jesus Name, Amen.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: “Be still, and know that I am God!” Psalm 46:10, NLT

TODAY'S WORD: It’s easy to live frustrated because somebody is not doing what we want, discouraged because of a disappointment, upset because our dreams haven’t come to pass. But God doesn’t remove every frustration. He doesn’t change every person we don’t like or take away everything that’s bothering us. When He says, “Be still and know that I am God,” this implies that if we’re not still, if we’re upset, frustrated, and worried, we’re not going to know that He is God. Most of the time when we’re frustrated, we’re trying to change things that only God can change. We’re trying to be God and fix things over which we have no control. You can’t make people do what’s right or make yourself get well. If you’re trying to control everything, you’re going to be frustrated. Do what you can, then turn it over to God and let Him take care of the rest. Stay at peace, knowing He’s in control.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that I can be still and know that You are God. Help me to stop trying to change what only You can change and stop trying to fix things over which I have no control. I declare that I’m going to stay in peace and know that You are in control. Today’s Word: This lady who came into the synagogue where Jesus was had been bent over for eighteen years. She had been bound by the enemy for so long that I'm sure she thought it was permanent. When Jesus called her a daughter of Abraham, it meant she was a part of the covenant that God made with Abraham. She wasn't just any woman. She had rights and privileges because she was in the family line of Abraham. As with her, you're not just anyone. You're a child of the Most High God. You have rights because of who you belong to. You weren't created to be bound by sickness, an addiction, or any limitation. Get ready because the chain breaker is about to step in. If Jesus were here today, He would look at you and say, You are loosed from what's holding you back. Your day of freedom has come. The chain is coming off. You're being released into healing, released into favor, released into new levels.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You that You have come into my life as my Savior, as my provider, as my healer, and as my chain breaker. Thank You that my chains are gone, and I've been set free. I believe that every force that has been holding me back has been broken. In Jesus Name, Amen.

TODAY'S WORD: How you start is not important. Don’t let what you think is a disadvantage or a bad break cause you to say, “If I’d had a better childhood, if I had more support, if I didn’t have this dysfunction, I could do something great.” That’s where you started, but that’s not where you’re going to finish. The beginning doesn’t determine your destiny.

The apostle Paul did not say that God will bring you “to a defeated finish,” “an unfair finish,” “a lonely finish,” or a “bankrupt finish.” God has a victorious finish, an abundant finish, “a flourishing finish.” When those thoughts tell you, “It’s never going to work out. You have too many disadvantages,” let those lies go in one ear and out the other. God has established the end, and He loves to take people who start with the odds against them and shine down His favor, give them breaks, increase them, and cause them to do extraordinary things.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that Your plans for me are for good. I may not understand everything along the way, and it may not have been fair, but I’m not going to live worried, upset, or discouraged. I know You’re bringing me to a flourishing finish. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Today’s Word: Very few people can look in the mirror and say, I am good. We think, Not me. I fall short. I struggle in areas. But when you say, I am good, it's not because of who you are; it's because of whose you are. You are a child of the Most High God. He handpicked you, breathed life into you, and crowned you with favor. Don't go around intimidated, insecure, feeling as though you don t measure up. Your performance doesn't determine who you are; your heavenly Father determines who you are. When you fall down and make mistakes, thoughts will whisper, Look at you! You're a hypocrite. Don't live with that heaviness. Just answer back, I may have fallen, but I got back up again. Hold your head up and feel good about who you are. You may not be where you want to be, but you're growing, improving, and coming up higher. Celebrate where you are. Thank God for where He's brought you so far.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You that You are the Most High God, and because I am Your child, I have royalty in my blood. Help me when I fall to never stay down in discouragement and condemnation. I declare that I am righteous because of who You are. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Today’s Scripture: Genesis 17:17, NIV - Abraham fell facedown; he laughed and said to himself, Will a son be born to a man a hundred years old? Will Sarah bear a child at the age of ninety?

Today’s Word: Sarah was over ninety years old when she gave birth to Isaac. This is way too old in the natural, but we serve a supernatural God. He can make a way where you don't see a way. Don't talk yourself out of your dreams. Don't give up on what God promised you. You can still give birth. You can still meet the right person, still start your own business, still go to college, and still break the addiction. That seed is alive in you. Here's the key: You can't judge what's in you by what's around you. All of Sarah's circumstances said, You'll be barren your whole life. You're too old. No woman your age has babies. It's impossible. If she had believed that lie and let that seed take root, the miracle birth would never have happened. You can draw in the negative with your doubt or you can draw in God's blessings with your faith. Don't let what you see around you cause you to give up on your dreams.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You that I am not limited by my circumstances. Thank You that what surrounds me does not determine the seeds of greatness You have placed within me. I believe that the supernatural plans You have for me are going to take me where I could never go on my own. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Whether it’s a grouchy boss, an illness you’re dealing with, or a dream that’s taking forever to be fulfilled, you can say, “I don’t like how this has gone, but God is on the throne. He promised that He would use what has come against me to my advantage.” All things work together for your good. They may not be good at the time we go through them. It’s painful to go through a loss. It hurts when people do us wrong. It’s discouraging when a dream doesn’t work out. By themselves, they may not be good, but the problem is that you’re isolating these single events. God promises He’s going to bring it all together. What looked like a setback was a setup for God to show out in your life. One day you’ll look back and say that it was all good.

There's nothing the enemy would love more than for you to go through life not wearing your crown, letting people and circumstances convince you that you don't deserve to be blessed. You don't have what it takes. You missed your chance. You're not good enough. Don't you dare give away your crown! It belongs to you. It was put there by your Creator. It has nothing to do with how you feel, how you look, or what other people say. It's based solely on the fact that you are a child of the Almighty God. You don't need other people's approval; you have Almighty God's approval. Our attitude should be, You can celebrate me or criticize me, but one thing is for certain: I'm not giving you my crown. I know who I am. I am royalty. I am accepted. I am approved. I am valuable.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You that You have put a crown of glory and honor on my head by Your grace. Thank You that You have made me royalty, and the enemy does not have the power to change that. I declare I will not allow anyone or anything to take my crown. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Get ready for an “out of season” blessing, for an “it’s beyond my imagination” healing, for an “it doesn’t make sense” promotion. TODAY'S WORD: Our God is a God of "suddenlies!" Suddenly, He breaks an addiction. Suddenly, your health improves. Suddenly, you are given that promotion. When you keep your heart open, expectant and filled with faith, God goes to work. In the same way Jesus turned the five loaves of bread and two fish into lunch for 5,000 men (Matthew 14:17), God will take your faith in Him and turn it into the provision you need! The enemy's goal is to get you discouraged so you will give up and settle where you are. Don't be deceived! No matter how many disappointments you've encountered, God can turn things around for you in a split second of time! One touch of His favor can suddenly restore relationships! One touch of His goodness can solve that problem you're facing today! Just one touch from Almighty God can instantly change your life!

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: For I acknowledge my transgressions…Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts… Psalm 51:3, 6, NKJV

TODAY'S WORD: Psalm 51 is a prayer of repentance in which David acknowledged a sin he had covered up. His first step was to accept responsibility. You can’t overcome what you don’t confront—a hidden addiction, a failure, a hurt. When you hide things, it’s going to eat away at you like a poison. David went on to say that God requires truth in our inner parts. You can’t pretend and have God’s blessing at the same time.

If you’re covering things up, it’s not going to magically go away. When you come to God and ask for His forgiveness and mercy, He’ll begin to restore and put you back on the path to your destiny. David says, “Create in me a clean heart, O God. Restore to me the joy of my salvation.” He got it out in the open and asked for forgiveness—that was the turning point. God forgave and restored him, and David went on to do great things.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You for Your unfailing love and great compassion that blots out the stain of my sins. Thank You that I can come to You for forgiveness and mercy and truth in my heart. I ask for a clean heart and to walk in the joy of my salvation. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Today's Word: King Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah were surrounded by three major armies. They could have panicked, but instead Jehoshaphat called people together to pray. He didn't deny the facts or act like the problem didn't exist. He admitted they were powerless, but he followed it up with, But our eyes are on You, God. You are all-powerful. When you keep God on the throne, you'll be in peace when you could be panicked. You'll be praising when you could be complaining. God told Jehoshaphat to march toward the enemy, and he appointed singers of praise to walk ahead of the army. The Lord worked a mighty victory, and they didn't even have to fight. Your problems may look too big, and you may be powerless, but you have the most powerful force in the universe on your side. Keep God on the throne. You may not know what to do, but when your eyes are upon Him, He'll make a way where you don't see a way.

A Prayer for Today: “Father, thank You that You are in control of all the situations in my life, and You are fighting my battles. I choose to guard my mind from worrisome, anxious thoughts that trap me in negativity and discouragement. The throne of my life is reserved for You. In Jesus Name, Amen.”

TODAY'S WORD: We need to realize that God hears what we say every day. He hears us when we bless people, when we compliment and encourage them, and when we push them forward. He hears when we criticize and stir up trouble. The prophet Isaiah said that we will eat the fruit of our words. If you sow disrespect, sarcasm, discord, and judgment, you’re going to reap those things. But when you sow kindness, encouragement, and mercy, that’s what you’re going to reap.

James said that our tongue is like a fire, and one spark can set a whole forest on fire. One word can start a major problem or a major blessing. You can start some good fires. Ignite dreams, ignite hope, ignite passion. Your words can put people on their feet, breathe new life into their dreams. Don’t be a part of the problem, be a part of the solution. Be a lifter, be an encourager, be a healer.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You for the people You have placed in my life. I want to love them like You do. Help me to use my words to start some good fires. I believe that You are making me into a lifter, an encourager, a healer. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Today’s Scripture: Genesis 24:40, NIV - He replied, The LORD, before whom I have walked faithfully, will send his angel with you and make your journey a success.

Today’s Word: When Abraham was old and close to death, he told his assistant to travel back to his hometown to find his son, Isaac, a wife. The assistant asked him how he would know if it was the right girl, and Abraham was saying, Don't worry because I have a history with God. I've seen His faithfulness over and over down through the years. I am confident it will happen. I have walked with God and seen His goodness. Instead of wondering if something's going to work out, worrying about your health, or stressing out over your finances, remember your history with God. Look back at what He's done. As Abraham did, you'll see times when God brought a promise to pass that looked impossible, He provided when you didn't see a way, He showed you mercy and turned a situation around. Whatever you face, keep walking in faithfulness and be confident that He will do it again and make your journey a success.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You that Your hand has been upon my life in so many ways. Thank You for the countless things You have made happen for my good that I could never make happen. I believe You are protecting me and will make my journey a success. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Today’s Scripture: Proverbs 17:14, MSG - The start of a quarrel is like a leak in a dam, so stop it before it bursts.

Today’s Word: One of the biggest challenges we all face is getting along with other people. We have different personalities, different temperaments, and come from different backgrounds. When somebody doesn't agree with us, or they're doing what we don't like, it's easy to quarrel with them, try to straighten them out, and prove our point. Before long we're at odds, mad at each other, and offended. You can feel the tension and stress. What's happened? We've allowed strife in. When we let our guard down and say things that are disrespectful, hurtful, and demeaning, we damage our relationship and open the door to strife. That's why the Scripture says, Give no place to the enemy. Strife can't just come in whenever it wants; you have to open the door. To never have an argument or say a wrong word is not reality, but when we allow strife to become common we're constantly arguing, saying hurtful things, being disrespectful, we're headed down the wrong path. Stop strife before it bursts and tears relationships apart.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You for the promise of blessedness when I take the high road and am a peacemaker in relationships. Give me wisdom to know when to keep my mouth closed and overlook something that bothers me. I recognize the destructive power of strife and give no place for it. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Today's Word: When a blind beggar named Bartimaeus heard that Jesus was passing by, he started to shout, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me! Technically, Jesus was the son of Joseph and Mary. Bartimaeus called him the Son of David, which was the Old Testament messianic title, because he recognized Jesus as the Messiah. When he cried out to Jesus, he was saying, You are my Messiah, my deliverer, my healer, the Most High God. Have mercy on me! Jesus stopped in His tracks. I can imagine Him thinking, Here's someone who knows who I am, someone who believes I have all power, someone who's expecting My goodness. His faith is real. When Jesus healed Bartimaeus, He said what He's also saying to us, Your faith has made you whole. Your faith is going to turn things around, open the right doors, and bring unexpected favor. Keep expecting it. God is passing by. Release your faith. It's going to happen sooner than you think,

Prayer for Today: “Father, thank You that just as You restored the sight of Bartimaeus, You can do the impossible in my life. Thank You that I can bring You the desires of my heart. Today’s Scripture: Proverbs 22:1, NIV - A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.

Today’s Word: Your reputation is one of the most valuable things you have. You can have great riches and yet be despised, looked down on, and seen as shady. But when you're a person of integrity, other people say, I can trust them. They always do the right thing. They're honest, fair, and consistent. They don't talk one way and live another way. Your name is too important to let it become tarnished by not having integrity. A life of integrity will take you much further than being dishonest and manipulating. You can't fudge on your taxes or turn in an exaggerated expense account and expect God's favor. You may gain some material things, but you lose with God. He controls the universe. There's a lot we can get away with, hide, manipulate, and exaggerate. People may not see it, but God does. Anything you gain without integrity won't be what it should have been. Be honest. Be trustworthy. Be a person of your word.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You that You are not limited to seeing me as other people see me. Thank You that You see my heart, and You know my faithfulness to You. Help me to live a life of integrity. I want my life to stand out as one who brings You praise. In Jesus Name, Amen.

TODAY'S WORD: When God laid out the plan for your life, He didn’t just put into it what you need to get by and endure until the end. He put more than enough in it. He’s a God of abundance. We see this all through the Scripture. David says, “My cup runs over.” He had an abundance, more than he needed. Yes, we should thank God that our needs are supplied, but don’t settle there. He is a more-than-enough God. He wants you to have an abundance so you can be a blessing to those around you.

Are you asking for the abundant, overflowing, more-than-enough life that God has for you? God says you are to reign in life, that whatever you touch will prosper and succeed. Don’t pray to just get by. Dare to ask big. Ask for what God has promised you. Ask Him for new levels. Ask Him for explosive blessings. Ask Him to propel you into your purpose.

Today’s Word: It's easy to go through life wearing masks, acting one way for our boss, one way for our friends, and another way for our spouse. Because we're not secure in who we are, we feel a need to impress, to prove something to people, so we pretend and hide behind personal masks. Oftentimes it's the mask of pride. I don't have any issues. I don't need any help. But God will not bless who you pretend to be. God blesses people who are real, people who are honest enough to say, God, I have this bad habit. I'm struggling with my temper. I need Your help, so I'm taking off the mask. When you're honest, you open the door for God to come in and change things. The apostle Paul said that love flows from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith. It's time to take off that mask and be honest. When you get down to the real you, that's when God can turn things around.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You that I don't have to hide my weaknesses or mask my shortcomings. Search my heart and show me where my motives are wrong and where I'm pretending. I humbly admit that I don't have it all together, and I'm glad You're still working on me. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Human love can be powerful and faithful, but it still falls short of the perfect love God has for you. It has been said that you can't out-give God, and that's true of love as well! First Corinthians 13 is a wonderful chapter because it gives a glimpse into God's love, which never fails. All the loves on the earth either fall away or fail from time to time, but not God's perfect love. That is a wonderful thing to know and something to model your own love and life after.

Today’s Word: We all go through unfair situations. We were overlooked for a promotion, we came down with an illness, or somebody walked out of a relationship. It's easy to get discouraged and think, That's life. It's just a bad break. Nothing I can do about it. You may not be able to, but God can. He's a God of justice. He has seen everything you've gone through, every person who did you wrong, every tear, every lonely night. It may not have been fair, but don't worry because payback is coming. God is going to make up for the wrongs that were done. Don't be bitter toward the people who put you at a disadvantage or be thinking you have to get even. It's not your battle; the battle is the Lord's. He'll not only take care of your opposition, He'll make it up to you. You're on His payroll. He knows what you're owed, and nobody can pay you back like He can.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You that You are a God of justice, and You keep the records. Thank You that You've seen everything I've gone through, and payback is coming. I believe that this battle is not for me to fight and I can leave it in Your hands. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Today’s Word: Sometimes we act as though God has a limited supply of favor, but He has unlimited resources. When God laid out the plan for your life, He put in it everything you need to fulfill your destiny. He's already lined up the right people, the right breaks, favor, and increase. If you keep honoring God, you'll come into a stored-up blessing at the right time. You won't have to go after it; it will find you. What God has destined for you can't go to anyone else. When you understand this, it takes the pressure off. You don't live frustrated, wondering when a dream is going to come to pass, worried that a problem is not going to work out, or jealous because a friend got a promotion. You stay in peace knowing that what has your name on it isn't going to go to anyone else. You know your time is coming. You know that God will get you to where you're supposed to be.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You for the abundance of good things You have stored up for me. Thank You that when I keep You first place and honor You, blessings will chase me down and overtake me. TODAY'S WORD: Genesis 25 and 27 record two deceptions by Jacob that resulted in such great losses for his brother, Esau, that he vowed to kill Jacob. For many years, the brothers lived estranged. Finally, the day came when Jacob returned to his home, only to hear that Esau was coming to meet him with four hundred men. Vengeance seemed certain. But when Esau saw Jacob, he ran to him and hugged him, weeping and welcoming Jacob back. Jacob was so moved by Esau’s kindness that he said, “Seeing your face was as the face of God smiling on me!”

Life is not about getting revenge and hurting people who hurt you. It’s easy to try to pay someone back, ignore them, and make them suffer. All that’s doing is holding you down. Why don’t you be the smile of God and show them the kindness they don’t deserve? When you’re the smile of God, He’ll make sure people smile back on you.

Today's Word: When we sow to the Spirit, when we do the right thing when it's hard, we're going to reap blessings, favor, increase, abundant and eternal life. But if we keep giving into our fleshly, carnal desires, doing whatever we feel - I feel lazy, so I'm taking a sick day. I feel like compromising, so I'm giving into this temptation. I feel like staying up all night and being on the internet, so I'll skip classes tomorrow you'll only reap ruin and destruction. But when you discipline yourself to take the high road, when you tell your flesh no, you're sowing to the Spirit. It may not happen overnight, but if you keep making those choices, a great harvest is coming. The next time your feelings tell you to get upset, to be offended, or to compromise, just say, No, you're not my boss. You don't control my life. I'm going to do what s right and become all I was created to be.

A Prayer for Today: “Father, thank You that I can choose to be disciplined and say no to the flesh and its desires. Thank You that every day I can take my feelings off the throne and allow Your Spirit to control my life. Help me to sow to the Spirit and do what's right. In Jesus Name, Amen.”

Today’s Scripture: Genesis 30:27 28, NKJV - And Laban said to him, Please stay, if I have found favor in your eyes, for I have learned by experience that the LORD has blessed me for your sake. Then he said, Name me your wages, and I will give it.

Today’s Word: For many years Jacob worked for his father-in-law, Laban, who lied to him, cheated him, and treated him unfairly. Jacob could have walked away in anger, but he took the high road and kept being his best, and Laban's livestock increased abundantly because of the favor on Jacob's life. But when Jacob finally decided to leave, Laban begged him to stay, offering him whatever wages he wanted. You may have people who haven't kept their word to you. They don't value who you are. Don't be offended. Be a Jacob and keep doing the right thing. They may discount you now, but there will come a time when they recognize they are blessed because of you, and they'll do anything to keep you. When Jacob left, he was not only a very wealthy man, but he left with the respect and the honor that he wasn't given for many years. God is your vindicator. If you stay on the high road, He'll make it up to you.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You that You see everything that has happened to me. Thank You that I can let go of every unfair thing and forgive quickly before bitterness can come in. I declare that You are my vindicator, and You will make my wrongs right. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Today’s Scripture: Ephesians 4:26, TLB - If you are angry, don't sin by nursing your grudge. Don't let the sun go down with you still angry get over it quickly.

Today’s Word: It's okay to feel anger, to feel hurt, to feel disappointment, but it's not okay to let those feelings stay. You can't take them in so close to your heart that that's all you think about, and you wake up the next morning upset, wanting to pay somebody back, not excited about your future. If you keep thinking about it, reliving the hurt, and dwelling on what they said, you're allowing it into your heart. You have to guard your heart from that. Keep it on the surface, on the outside don't bring it into the secret place of your heart. When you face opposition, trouble, and bad breaks, that's when it's easiest to let anger and bitterness in. In those times when you don't understand it, come back to the place of peace, the place of trust. Don't let what's outside get inside. Your heart needs to stay positive, hopeful, peaceful, and at rest. Keep God on the throne.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You that there is a secret place in my heart where You dwell and where I can abide in peace. Help me guard against all the negative things that try to get in. I can't stop the circumstances around me, but I will stop the anger and bitterness from getting in me. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Today’s Scripture: Genesis 41:44, TLB - And Pharaoh declared to Joseph, I, the king of Egypt, swear that you shall have complete charge over all the land of Egypt.

Today’s Word: After thirteen years of being imprisoned in Egypt for a crime he didn't do, there was nothing in Joseph's circumstances that looked as if he would ever accomplish his dream of ruling a nation. But one day Joseph was called before Pharaoh to interpret Pharaoh's dream, and Pharaoh was so impressed that he made Joseph the prime minister of Egypt. On the previous day, if you had told Joseph this would happen, he would have said, Are you kidding? Don t you see these bars? You may be in an unfair situation that seems as though it's never going to turn around. You don't need everyone to be for you; you just need the right people to be for you. God has already lined up people in positions of influence who will open doors you couldn't open and bring you opportunities and promotion that you didn't see coming. As was true for Joseph, you don't have to find them, they will find you. It is the hand of God in your life.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You that what so often looks like trouble or a setback is really Your hand moving me toward Your purpose. Thank You that what's unfair is going to push open doors and bring opportunities I could never experience without it. Help me to be patient while You work things out. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Today’s Scripture: Numbers 13:33, NLT - We even saw giants there, the descendants of Anak. Next to them we felt like grasshoppers, and that's what they thought, too!

Today’s Word: In the exodus from Egypt, the Israelites had seen one miracle after another and were camped next door to the Promised Land. Ten of the twelve spies sent into the land came back and said, It's impossible to take the land. There are giants there! When they saw how big their opponents were, they made the mistake that many of us make today. They said, You can't argue with the facts. We don't have a chance. They looked at it only with their natural, logical reasoning and talked themselves out of it. Don't let a no way mentality keep you from God's best. You don't have to deny the facts of a huge obstacle, just add Joshua's response: But the Lord is with us. Do not be afraid. If they had a yes way mentality, the same God who parted the Red Sea would have helped them defeat the giants. Instead of spending forty years in the desert, they would have been in the Promised Land. Be a yes way person.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You that You are so much greater than any giants in the land, and the facts are never a reason to keep me from Your best for my life. Thank You that because You are with me, I can run toward the giants rather than flee. I want to be a yes way person. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Today’s Word: You can't go through life thinking you've reached your limit. I'll never get well or be able to afford a nice house. Thinking like that is going to stop God's best. Quit declaring defeat over your life. What God has destined for you will come to pass. It may not happen all at once, but that's just a test of your faith. The enemy wouldn't be fighting you so hard if he didn't know something amazing was in front of you. You have to dig your heels in and say, God is about to do something new. His plans for me are for good, and any moment things can change in my favor. When you live with expectancy, that allows God to do great things. You don't know what new thing could happen today. There's something new from God that's already begun. Do you see it? Get up every morning and thank Him that He s about to do something new.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You that You are the God who is always doing something new, and Your plans are always good. I believe that even now You are working in ways I don't yet see. I declare You are the author and finisher of my faith, and I look forward to great things. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Today’s Scripture: Ephesians 1:11, NIV - In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will.

Today’s Word: It's easy to go through life wondering how things are going to work out, hoping we make the right decisions, and being stressed over our finances. You don't have to worry about your future. Your life is divinely orchestrated. God has already laid out the plan. The apostle Paul says God is working all things according to His will. It's not according to who likes you, how much talent you have, what family you come from, or even how many mistakes you make. It's according to His will. He is behind the scenes not only directing your steps, but directing the steps of the people you need. He's not just in control of your life, He's in control of your circumstances. Nothing happens randomly. You are not at the mercy of setbacks. You don't have to get upset because a door closed. God wouldn't allow it if it wasn't on your blueprint. It's not going to keep you from your purpose; it's leading you to your purpose.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You for Your promise that You will work out Your plans for my life. Thank You that I can stay in peace knowing that You are working behind the scenes and directing the outcomes. Help me to be patient and know that You are bringing me into my purpose. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Today’s Word: We all have dreams we're believing for, but we may have hit some setbacks. Our dreams can get buried under discouragement, past mistakes, rejection, failure, and negative voices. It's easy to settle for mediocrity even when we have all this potential buried inside. Your dream may be buried, but it's still alive. It's not too late to see it come to pass. The key to reaching your destiny is to remember your dream. What has God put in your heart? What did you used to be excited about? Why do you think it's too late, it's too big, or it's not possible? Get your passion back. You haven't missed your opportunity or had too many bad breaks. Stir up your faith. God is going to resurrect what you thought was dead. You may have tried and failed, but dreams that you've given up on are going to suddenly come back to life. God has the final say. He hasn't changed His mind.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You for the dreams and desires You put in my heart. Thank You that I can stir up my faith and know that You can resurrect what I may have thought was dead. I declare that it is never too late to see my dreams come to pass because You have the final say. In Jesus Name, Amen.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all." 2 Corinthians 4:17, NIV

TODAY'S WORD: In this world, we all have troubles and trials, but aren’t you glad that Scripture promises that they are only temporary? Today’s verse tells us they are momentary. Compared with eternity, our troubles won’t last long at all! The second part of this verse tells us that when we stand strong in faith during times of adversity, we are building that faith and achieving eternal glory. When you confess your trust and reliance on God, you are passing the test!

If you are in the middle of tough times today, look to God. The Bible says that Jesus is the Author and Finisher of your faith. He is the one who writes faith on your heart and then develops it to completion on the inside of you as you yield yourself to Him. Your part is to seek Him daily. Follow His commands. Open your heart and choose to speak His Word which is alive and active. Remember, your trials are only temporary, but His eternal glory outweighs it all!

TODAY'S WORD: Words have creative power. When you speak something out, you give life to what you’re saying. For instance, it’s important to believe that you’re blessed. But when you say, “I am blessed,” that’s when blessings come looking for you. Today’s Scripture doesn’t say, “Let the redeemed think so, or believe so, or hope so.” That’s all good, but you have to take it one step further and say so. If you’re going to go to the next level, overcome an obstacle, or break an addiction, you have to start declaring it.

When God created the worlds, nothing happened until He spoke. He said, “Let there be light,” and light came. His thoughts didn’t set it into motion; His words set it into motion. It’s the same principle today. You can have big dreams, stand on God’s promises, but not see anything change until you speak. When you speak, good breaks, promotion, and ideas will track you down.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that when You created the worlds, You didn’t just think or believe them into being. You spoke them into being. I believe that I am to speak out words that are true to the faith in my heart, and that when I say so, You will act. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Isaiah 46:10, NIV: I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, 'My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.'

Today’s Word: Sometimes we look at the painful times in our lives when we're hurting, we're lonely, we're undergoing medical treatment and think they can't be a part of God s plan. You have to trust that even then, God doesn't make any mistakes. He's already designed your life down to the smallest detail. God didn't promise that there wouldn't be any pain, suffering, or disappointment. But, He did promise that it would all work out for our good. The key is what you do in your times of pain. Difficulties, heartache, suffering they don't leave us the same. If you go through a divorce or a legal battle, or if you have a friend who betrays you, eventually you will get through it, but you will be different. You can come out bitter, or you can come out better. You can come out with a chip on your shoulder, or you can come out with a greater trust in God. My challenge is, don't just go through it; grow through it.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You that there is a purpose for whatever pain comes my way, and You only allow what You know will work for my good. Thank You that though I may not understand it now, You will use it to shape my life for the better. I believe I will grow through it. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Today’s Scripture: Philippians 4:9, NIV - Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

Today’s Word: God has put favor connections in your life people who have what you want, who are further along. Are you overlooking them? Or are you intimidated by their success so you hold back? God put them there so you could connect. If you will honor them and learn from them, then because you're connected to someone with more favor, more influence, and more vision, that favor will flow down to you. You will see new doors open, influence in greater ways, and promotion that you couldn't have reached on your own. It will come because of a favor connection. You cannot hang around with chickens and reach your destiny. You can't spend all your free time with crows, people who complain, or with turkeys, people who have accepted mediocrity. You need people who are soaring like eagles, people who are taking new ground, people who are out of debt, people who think bigger than you, and people who are exposing you to levels that you've never seen.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You that You have already lined up these favor connections for me. Thank You for the people You've set in place to help me go further. Help me to disconnect from people who are hindering my growth and to connect with people who are favored. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Joel Osteen (February-02-2021) Daily Devotion: Miracles Out of Mistakes.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: “As for Ishmael…I will make him extremely fruitful and multiply his descendants…. I will make him a great nation.” Genesis 17:20, NLT

TODAY'S WORD: Abraham and Sarah had God’s promise of a son, but they took matters into their own hands, and Abraham had a baby with Hagar, Sarah’s maid. Ishmael was a mistake and brought extreme strife to their home. Yet, God spoke to Abraham that even though it was a terrible mess, He would make Ishmael great. And amazingly, it was descendants of Ishmael who came along at precisely the right moment and kept Joseph, Abraham’s great grandson, from dying in the pit when his brothers betrayed him (see Genesis 37). The mistake of Abraham became the miracle of Joseph, who helped save the rest of their family.

That’s how amazing God is. He knows how to bring good even when we fail and make a mess. God doesn’t turn His back when you make mistakes — just the opposite. He’ll not only help you clean up the mess you made, He’ll take it one step further and make miracles out of those mistakes.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You for being the amazing God who can take our messes and mistakes and turn them into miracles. Thank You that You never turn Your back on me. I believe that You are working all things together for my good. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Today's Scripture: And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man. Luke 2:52, ESV.

Today's Word: Did you know that one way our faith is released is through our words? There is a connection between speaking God's favor and receiving His favor. You can increase in favor. It's not enough to just believe you have favor or expect favor; you have to take it one step further and declare favor. Every day you should declare, I have the favor of God. I have favor on my business, my finances, my family, and my health. When you speak something out, you're giving it the right to come to pass. When you're in a difficult situation, instead of complaining about it, you need to declare, the favor of God is turning this around. His favor is bringing healing, freedom, vindication, and victory into my life. It's one thing to think it, but when you declare it, things begin to happen in the unseen realm. You've hoped, you've prayed, you've believed that's good but it's time to start speaking favor.

A Prayer for Today: Father, thank You for the gift of Your favor that I can freely receive and increase in. Thank You that Your favor is endorsing me, bringing me to prominence, and taking me to new levels. I believe and declare that Your favor is bringing me whatever I need at this very moment. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Today’s Scripture: Matthew 5:3, MSG - You're blessed when you're at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule"

Today’s Word: When we've made mistakes and failed, it's easy to feel that we've come to the end of our rope. You may have failed, but you're not a failure. Failure is an event; it's not who you are. What you struggle with, perhaps an addiction, is not who you are. What you've done may not be good, but it's not the end. The Creator of the universe breathed life into you. You may have gotten off course, but God is saying, "I'm still going to bless you and show you My favor. I'm going to set you free."

Perhaps your medical situation doesn't look good. Something in a relationship or in your finances or business is at the end of the rope. Have a new perspective. When you're at the end, you're in prime position for God to show out in your life. He's saying to you, "What I promised you is still on the way. When you're at the end of your ability, there's room for My favor."

Prayer for Today: "Father, thank You that You are the Almighty God. Your unfailing love is greater than my failures, You're more powerful than any sickness or addiction, and Your mercy covers more than my needs. I know You're working behind the scenes and what You promised me is right on schedule. In Jesus' Name, Amen."

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Mark 11:24, NIV

TODAY'S WORD: Has God spoken things to your heart that haven't come to pass yet? Sometimes when we are believing for things, it’s easy to become discouraged when it doesn’t happen according to our timetable. But when you make the choice to receive your promise by picturing it in your mind's eye and declaring it with the words of your mouth, your faith becomes stronger. You begin to have joy and peace because you know God is working behind the scenes on your behalf. What are you believing for God to do in your life? See it in your mind's eye. See yourself healed. See yourself paying off that last debt. As you allow God's thoughts to become your thoughts and receive His promises by faith, just like it says in today's verse, whatever you ask for in prayer will be yours!

PRAYER FOR TODAY: Heavenly Father, thank You for another day to serve You. Thank You for the gift of faith. I ask that you search my heart and mind and remove anything that does not please you. Give me your thoughts of peace and joy today so that I can learn to receive all you have for me today. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Joel Osteen (January-30-2021) Today's Word: The Way of Escape

Today’s Scripture: 1 Corinthians 10:13, ESV - God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Today’s Word: One evening King David walked around on the roof of his palace and saw a beautiful young lady taking a bath. Whenever we face temptation, God will always have a moment of grace, a time where you have the strength to resist and walk away. But that moment of grace doesn't last hour after hour. Right at the start, you have to be disciplined and do the right thing. David let his guard down and one compromise led to another.

Life brings us certain defining moments that not only affect us, but they affect our children and future generations. When you're in a situation where you're tempted to compromise, to get upset, to be bitter, every voice tells you, "Just do it. It&'s not going to hurt anything." Don't believe those lies. When those tempting thoughts come, get them out of your mind. That's the battlefield. If you let it stay, it's going to draw you in and lead you to compromise. It's going to affect your destiny.

Prayer for Today: "Father, thank You that You promise a way of escape for any temptation I face. Help me to guard my mind and heart and be strong to resist temptation and compromise. I declare that even in the small things I will do what I know in my heart is right and live with integrity. In Jesus' Name, Amen."
