Bill Johnson (November-18-2019) Sermon: Evangelism is an Overflow of Worship (John 4:35). Great teaching from Bill reminding us that pure worship transfers God’s love for the lost into our hearts. He says, “evangelism in its purest form is an overflow of worship.” Since we always become like the object of our worship, we become more like God as we worship Him. He does not want anyone to perish (2 Peter 3:9), so the more we worship Him, the greater our anointing should increase to win souls. Bill points to Nebuchadnezzar and the Gadarene demoniac as two people in the bible that seemed impossibly to convert. But God’s power flowing through Daniel and Jesus broke through the bondages holding back these tormented men and brought them to salvation. When speaking of the Gadarene demonic, Bill said, “He had enough demons to torment and kill 2,000 pigs. He comes and falls before Jesus and the bible says he worships Jesus. This is before his deliverance. If he has two 2,000 demons in him, then the truth is that 2,000 demons could not keep one person from worshiping Jesus. The church has no excuse.”
