Bill Johnson (September-23-2019) Sermon: "My Words are Spirit and Life" (John 6:63). Great teaching from Bill about our relationship with the Holy Spirit. His text is a quote from Jesus in John 6:63, "my words are spirit and life." He then uses two of Paul’s statements to not “grieve the Spirit” (Ephesians 4:30, and not “quench the Spirit” (1 Thessalonians 5:19) to describe our mission to walk in submission to God's Word and His Spirit. Bill compares quenching and grieving the Spirit to guard rails on our left and right. We can grieve the Holy Spirit through sin and quench Him through unbelief. Our goal is to walk in daily fellowship with the spirit and allow our words to impart life. Quote: Something happens when you find the heartbeat of God and you speak it. Suddenly there is a sense of presence. The words became Spirit and that Spirit gives life… all ministry has to do with you and me learning to first cooperate with the Holy Spirit secondly to impart Him.”
ENJOY!
