Joel Osteen (February 22, 2024) Daily Devotional: An Overcomer.

Today's Scripture: Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. - 1 John 5:5, NIV

Today's Word: many people are not reaching their potential because their vision is limited. They’re talented and have favor, but they don’t see themselves accomplishing dreams, being blessed, living healthy. You will never rise any higher than the way you see yourself. Through your eyes of faith, you need to see yourself the way you want to be. You may be fighting an illness, but you need to see yourself healthy. If you’re struggling in your finances, you need to see yourself out of debt, with abundance, being a blessing to others. If you’re dealing with an addiction, don’t let that negative image take root. Don’t see yourself defeated or dysfunctional, as someone who “can’t break it.”

Get a new image. See yourself free. See yourself whole. See yourself as a child of the Most High God. See yourself as an overcomer, as “more than a conqueror through Him who loved us.” Your inner vision is setting the limits for your life. The pictures you keep in front of you, in your imagination, that’s what you’re moving toward.

Prayer for Today: “Father, thank You for being my God and making me into a brand-new creation in Jesus. Thank You that I was born to overcome and see myself as free and whole. I believe and declare that I am more than a conqueror by faith, a victor and not a victim of circumstances. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

TD Jakes (February-03-2024) Daily Devotional: A Divine Strategy for Overcoming.

Bible Quote: Hebrews 10:12-13 (NIV) - "But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool."

In the tumultuous battlefield of life, where shadows of fear loom and whispers of doubt echo, there stands a divine decree that shifts the paradigm from struggle to sovereignty, from combat to calm. "Be seated," whispers the Spirit of the Almighty. In the realm of the spirit, to be seated is not a passive act but a proclamation of victory, a testament to the finished work on Calvary, where our battles were forever won.

The adversary, with his schemes and taunts, may confront you with the trials of life, questioning, "What will you do in the face of this storm?" But your response, anchored in the unshakeable truth of your inheritance in Christ, resounds with divine assurance: "I'm sitting on it." This isn't a declaration of inaction; it's an affirmation of your faith, a recognition that you are seated in heavenly places with Christ, far above the principalities and the turmoil of this world.

When you declare, "I'm sitting on it," you're tapping into the strategy of heaven, where battles are won not by might nor by power but by the Spirit of the Lord. It's a declaration that echoes through the spiritual realm, signaling to every foe that you're backed by a power that transcends earthly constraints, a power that turns your adversaries into your footstools.

So, dear saints, as we navigate through life's trials and tribulations, let us remember our position in Christ. Every time we take our seat, physically or spiritually, let it be a reminder of the victory that is ours, of the peace that surpasses understanding. For in our seated position, we're not just taking a break from the strife; we're taking a stand in the authority bestowed upon us.

Let the presence of God envelop you, transforming not just your morning but your mindset towards every challenge. Reflect on the goodness of Jesus, on the ultimate sacrifice that granted us this seat of victory. Let your heart, overflowing with gratitude, cry out in praise, "Hallelujah! Thank you, God, for this seat of victory, for the peace and the power it represents."

And now, let us reach out, touch lives, and spread this message: "I'm gonna sit on it." May this become our mantra, our declaration in the face of adversity, for in our seated position, we are a living testimony to God's enduring faithfulness and unfailing power.

Final Prayer: Heavenly Father, we come before You in awe of the victory that is ours through Christ Jesus. As we take our seat in the spiritual realm, let it be a declaration of faith, a proclamation of the triumph You have won on our behalf. Lord, empower us to live from this place of divine rest, to face every challenge with the assurance that we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. May our lives reflect Your glory, and may our words and actions encourage those around us to find their seat of victory in You. We thank You, we praise You, and we rest in the finished work of Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
