Joel Osteen (March-17-2024) Daily Devotional: Can-Do Power - Today's Inspiration Word.

Today's Scripture - Philippians 4:13, NKJV: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Today's Word: when God designed you, He knew what pressures you would face: financial pressure, relationship pressure, raising children pressure, dealing with an illness pressure. If that pressure was going to crush you, God wouldn’t have put you there. He doesn’t make mistakes. Whatever you face, remind yourself that you can handle it. Now you have to get in agreement with God. If you go around thinking, “This pressure at work is too much. I can’t take it,” that’s going to defeat you.

The Scripture says you are full of can-do power. You are well able to overcome opposition, to outlast adversity. But can-do power doesn’t do any good if you have a can’t-do mentality. Quit looking at all the things you can’t do. Have a new perspective: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. This obstacle may be big, but I can overcome it. This trouble is taking longer than I thought, but I can outlast it. This situation feels overwhelming, but I’m designed for it. I’m strong, I’m anointed, and I’m equipped.”

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You for designing me with strength for every pressure that I will ever face. Thank You that You have already equipped me with power to overcome opposition and outlast adversity. I declare that I am strong and can do all things through Christ. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Watch John Hagee Sermon: The Power of Hope. Hope is the anchor of the soul. It brings us into the presence of Jesus Christ. Hope sees the invisible, feels the intangible and can achieve the impossible. “Impossible” is a word used by people who don’t want to try something, but everything is impossible until somebody does it. As a believer, ALL things are possible. Place your hope in Almighty God.

TD Jakes (March 11, 2024) Daily Devotional: The Power of Incredible Heroes.

Oh, beloved, let me tell you, there's a mighty lesson woven into the fabric of our faith, one that speaks volumes to those with ears to hear and hearts to receive. We're talking about Rahab, a woman society had cast aside, labeled, and dismissed. Yet, the Almighty, in His infinite wisdom and boundless grace, positioned her as a pivotal figure in the conquest of Jericho. It's a divine reminder that our God does not view us through the lens of our past mistakes or societal labels. No, He sees the potential for His purpose in each and every one of us.

Scripture tells us, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts" (Isaiah 55:8-9).

This is the crux of our message today, beloved. The Lord operates beyond the confines of human understanding, choosing those the world might overlook to fulfill His glorious purpose.

Rahab's story is not just about a woman who defied the odds; it's a testament to the truth that God's plans are not limited by human principles. She was chosen not despite her past, but because her heart was aligned with a divine purpose that far exceeded societal norms. This, dear ones, is the struggle between principles and purpose. While principles guide us, it is purpose that truly defines us.

Our God is a God of purpose, not of petty judgments. He sees beyond our flaws, our failures, and our shortcomings, to the heart that beats for His cause. Rahab's lie was not an endorsement of deceit but a demonstration of faith in action, protecting God's messengers and aligning herself with His will.

Let this be a reminder to us all: When faced with the choice between clinging to rigid principles or embracing God's greater purpose, may we have the courage to choose purpose. For in doing so, we align ourselves with the very heart of God, becoming vessels of His will on earth.

Closing Prayer: Heavenly Father, we stand in awe of Your wisdom and grace, humbled by Your willingness to use us, despite our imperfections, to fulfill Your divine purpose. Help us, Lord, to see beyond the confines of human judgment, to embrace Your greater calling with open hearts and willing spirits. May we, like Rahab, find the courage to stand for Your purpose, trusting in Your plan above all else. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

Jentezen Franklin (March 11, 2024) Daily Devotional: The Power Of Forgiveness.

“Above all, love each other deeply because love covers over a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8

In the story of Bathsheba, she had a grandfather by the name of Ahithophel. Ahithophel was a trusted advisor of King David. But one day, he witnessed David abuse his granddaughter Bathsheba and destroy their family by having her husband killed, and he never got over it. In 2 Samuel 15, the Bible says that when Absalom led a rebellion against David, that it was this man, the grandfather of Bathsheba, who sided quickly with Absalom. It was even Ahithophel’s idea that Absalom abuse David’s concubines up on the rooftop in front of all of Israel. He was out for revenge. After 25 years, he still had a root of bitterness over what David had done. Later, Ahithophel ended up committing suicide.

When you don’t get over something, and you let it take hold of you, you commit spiritual suicide. When you carry bitterness, anger, and unforgiveness against someone, then it’s only a matter of time before it spiritually affects your life.

Have you ever heard of Barsabbas? Barsabbas was in the running to replace Judas. It came down to him or Matthias, and he lost the election. Barsabbas didn’t get the job. It would have been a high honor to have been listed among the twelve disciples with his name written in the holy city. So what was his reaction? He could have gotten mad and decided to start his own church. He could have thought, “this man isn’t better than me!” But Barsabbas kept a good spirit. He got over it. It was disappointing, and he wished it would have been him who was picked but he didn’t get angry. Later in the book of Acts, when they were choosing someone who would go to Antioch for the Gentiles to be reached, they said, “Get Barsabbas.” When you keep the right spirit, even when things don’t go your way, your gift will make room for you.

When you choose to get over it and get on with it, God notices. He is pleased when you make loving others your paramount concern. When you choose to forgive, you are putting your love for your brothers and sisters over your own rights and pain. You are being like Jesus. He knew this is the secret to unleashing the greatest power the world has ever known

TD Jakes (March 10, 2024) Daily Devotional: The Power Beyond Our Understanding.

In the heart of our struggles, in the midst of our impossibilities, the Lord speaks a word that resonates through the ages, echoing with the power of creation and the promise of salvation. Remember the words of Paul in Romans 4:17, "As it is written: 'I have made you a father of many nations.' He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not." Here, we find the essence of faith and the blueprint of our hope. Abraham's story isn't just an account of ancient miracles; it's a testament to the fact that when our abilities end, God's just begin.

God chose the moment when Abraham was most vulnerable, when Sarah's laughter was filled with disbelief, to manifest His glory. It wasn't about Abraham's strength or Sarah's capability; it was about God's power to do the unthinkable. This narrative isn't merely historical; it's instructional. It teaches us that our limitations are the stage upon which God performs His most extraordinary miracles. It's in our "impossible" that His possibilities take root and flourish.

Similarly, when we speak of wealth, it's not merely in the accumulation of possessions but in recognizing the source of our strength and provision. Deuteronomy 8:18 reminds us, "But remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms His covenant, which He swore to your ancestors, as it is today." It's a divine empowerment for stewardship and purpose, not just for personal gain but for the advancement of His kingdom.

In discussing pettiness, we're reminded that our purpose is too grand to be entangled in the trivial. While petty matters may not be inconsequential, they often distract from our higher calling. Our focus should not be on the minor irritations or the small-minded vendettas. We are called to a life of greater purpose, to pursuits that have eternal significance. Let us not be deterred by the smallness of spirit but be propelled by the grandeur of God's vision for our lives.

Closing Prayer: Lord, in Your infinite wisdom, You've designed our journeys with moments that stretch our faith and reveal Your power. Teach us to trust in Your timing, recognizing that what seems impossible to us is merely an opportunity for You to work. Help us to focus not on the petty, but on the profound, on the eternal purpose You've set before us. Grant us the grace to see beyond our capabilities and to rely solely on Your strength, for it is You who empowers us, You who gives life to our dreams and purpose to our paths. In Jesus' name, Amen.
