Joel Osteen - Sermon: The Guardian Of Your Soul. In the natural, it may seem like you’re up against impossible odds. Trouble may be happening all around you, but you have to remember, you’re not on your own. You have a protector and a deliverer. The Most High God is the guardian of your soul.

Our SOUL vs. Our SPIRIT - Creflo Dollar Daily Sermon (December-19-2023)

TD Jakes Daily Devotional (November-10-2023) The Complexity of Being: Body, Soul, and Spirit in Prayer.

"Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." - Romans 8:26 (KJV)

Inspirational Reflection: We are beings of incredible complexity, a tapestry woven with threads of the physical, the emotional, and the spiritual. Our bodies are the vessels we present to the world, but it is our souls that carry the weight of our experiences, emotions, and thoughts. It is no wonder that we often find ourselves bewildered by the intricacies of our own nature.

In the dance of daily life, we may find that the person we thought we knew—ourselves included—houses depths unanticipated. The soul, with its tumultuous sea of feelings, can cloud our judgment and lead us astray. It is in these moments of confusion and emotional turmoil that we must be cautious not to let the soul's unrest dictate our prayers and lead us down a path of destructive desires.

The Apostle Paul understood this well. He taught us that while it is essential to express our emotions and be honest in our prayers, we must also seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit. For the Spirit transcends the limitations of our understanding and intercedes for us with the perfect will of God in mind.

Prayerful Contemplation: O Lord, our God, we stand before You in awe of the complexity You have woven into the fabric of our being. We are a blend of body, soul, and spirit—each aspect reflecting a part of Your divine creativity.

TD Jakes Daily Devotional (November-09-2023) Spirit, Soul, and Body.

"For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would." - Galatians 5:17 (KJV)

In the human experience, we are caught in a profound struggle, a tug-of-war between the divine and the earthly. Our spirit, once reborn, yearns for the things of God, yet it must peer into the future through the lens of a soul marred by past hurts, fears, and flawed human reasoning. This soul, in turn, must navigate the world in a body that is yet to be redeemed, a body that is subject to decay and the pull of sin.

The creation groans, not just around us, but within us. This groaning is the echo of a deeper longing for the day when our bodies will be transformed and made new, when the war within our members will cease, and harmony will be restored.

Until that day, we live in the tension of "already and not yet," where our spirit is saved, our soul is being sanctified, and our body awaits its future glorification. It is in this place of tension that we find our deepest groans, our most earnest prayers, and our most fervent hopes.

Prayerful Contemplation: Heavenly Father, we acknowledge the profound mystery of our being, where spirit, soul, and body intertwine in a delicate dance of sanctification.

We confess the inner conflict that rages within us, where the redeemed spirit battles against the unredeemed flesh. We feel the groaning of creation within our very bones, a longing for the day of complete redemption.

We ask for Your grace to navigate this tension, to live in the victory of the spirit while patiently enduring the sanctification of the soul and the eventual redemption of the body.

Teach us to walk by the Spirit, so that we may not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Help us to recognize the war within our members and to rely on Your strength to overcome the daily battles we face.

May we find comfort in knowing that this struggle is not in vain, but a sign of the life You have breathed into us, a life that groans for the fullness of Your presence.

In the midst of our groaning, may we also find a reason to rejoice, for these pains are but the birth pangs of a new creation, a glorious body that will one day be raised incorruptible.

We await that day with hope, knowing that "if this earthly house of our tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens."

Until then, keep us steadfast in faith, joyful in hope, and constant in love. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, who is the firstfruits of this resurrection life, we pray. Amen.

Joel Osteen (October-02-2023) Daily Devotional: A Healthy Soul.

Today's Scripture: Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 3 John 2, NKJV

Today's Word: we spend a lot of time and energy taking care of our physical body. We want to feel good. But we don’t spend enough time taking care of our soul. We don’t realize how much our emotions, our attitudes, and our thoughts are affecting us physically.

I want to encourage you today to pay attention to your inner life. It’s easy to adapt to things that are poisoning us, and we don’t realize it. We end up going through life just treating the symptoms. If we get to the root cause and get our soul healthy, we can have good health and good success.

We need to ask ourselves: Am I making myself sick? Am I sabotaging my relationships? Am I limiting my potential, holding myself down because my soul is unhealthy?

The writer of the book of Hebrews says, “See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many” (12:15, NIV). It describes bitterness as a root. You can’t see a root because it’s underground. But if you let it grow, it’s going to spring forth. Bitter roots produce bitter fruit. What’s inside will show up on the outside. Often, we only try to fix the fruit, but the fruit is not the problem. We need to deal with more than just symptoms. We need to go to the source and get rid of the root.

Proverbs 4:23 says, “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life” (NLT). One of our main responsibilities is to keep the toxins out. Keep those roots from springing up. Offenses are going to come. Cranky coworkers will come. You can’t stop disappointments, hurts, jealousy, and anger from coming. The question is, are you going to let them take root, get down in your spirit, contaminate your joy, steal your peace, take your energy, and open you up to sickness, trouble, and defeat? No, keep your soul healthy. You have to be an active gardener. Pull up those roots. Pull up the unforgiveness. Pull up the insecurity. Pull up the guilt and condemnation. Don’t let your soul become poisoned. If your soul is bitter, your life will be bitter. If your emotional well-being is contaminated, it’s going to affect your physical well-being.

Reflection: What caught your attention in this reflection on A Healthy Soul? Is there anything you’ve not considered before? What can you do differently to keep/get your soul healthy?

Declaration: Today, I declare that I will be honest with myself and get my soul healthy. I will turn everything over to God, getting rid of anything that is holding me back. I declare that I am digging up roots of bitterness and releasing all worry, anger, hurt, and disappointment. I will trust in God to transform me and create in me a clean heart. I declare that as my soul prospers, strength, health, and new opportunities are coming.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You today with a humble heart, ready to open my soul to Your healing touch. I acknowledge the need to be truthful with myself and pay attention to my inner life. In this moment, I surrender every burden and obstacle I’m facing. I’m turning them over to You in faith. I declare that I am uprooting bitterness and releasing all the worry, the anger, the hurt, the disappointments that are weighing me down. I choose to put my trust in You, Lord, knowing that You have the power to transform me from the inside out. Please cleanse my heart, help me to forgive, and fill me with Your peace, joy, favor, and protection. As my soul prospers under Your guidance, I believe that strength, good health, and fresh opportunities are on the way. Thank You for loving me and for hearing my prayer. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
