Daily Devotional (March 11, 2024) BE SUPERNATURAL.

Scripture Reference: John 13:3-4 - Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God; He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.

When you think" supernatural", what instantly comes to mind? Walking on water? Raising the dead? The working of diverse miracles? Well, you would be right to believe that all these are supernatural, but there's more. What is the supernatural? From the name, it is being or acting above the natural. To be supernatural is to be paranormal. To be a way that is beyond normal, to be and act in a way that is unconventional which might be considered weird or abnormal.

Jesus on earth was deemed different, because men had never seen anyone like Him before. His disciples had to get used to Him as a new normal, and when they saw one of His unconventional acts, they could not wrap their minds around it, and that's why they uttered "what manner of man is this?" (See Matthew 8:27). But beyond Christ's many numerous supernatural acts, what is so noteworthy is His supernatural character. His response to situations was unlike the natural human responses. In a storm, the natural response is to panic, but Jesus slept. When offended, the natural human response is to retaliate, but Christ forgave. The natural human disposition is an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth, but Jesus said to turn the right cheek if slapped on the left.

Jesus was a supernatural man, not only because of His supernatural acts, but also because of his extraordinary character, and this is what we want to look into today. As we desire to walk in supernatural acts, we must desire to grow in walking in supernatural character. Forgiving others is supernatural, because it is putting your right to be even aside and choosing not to count wrongdoing. That's not normal, that's supernatural! Extending grace is supernatural, because the normal thing is to do to others as they have done to you, but here's the thing: grace is not earned. It is not given because it is deserved, it is given in fact because it is undeserved (See Ephesians 2: 8-9). When people start to earn grace, it's no longer grace. So, the fact that people do not deserve it, is the reason we should extend grace. We don't relate with others based on what they deserve. We relate with them from love. Walking in love is supernatural. In fact, from Jesus' life, we see that it is the most supernatural thing to do.Using power is supernatural, but what is even more supernatural is not using that power.

The most powerful thing ever done was that Jesus controlled His power. As people marvel at the supernatural acts that you do, let them also marvel at your supernatural character. Be supernatural. Walk in love. Remember this, Being supernatural is walking in love.

DECLARE THIS: I walk in love because I am supernatural. Like Christ, my character is supernatural. Because I am not ordinary, I live the extraordinary by walking in love. Glory!

Joyce Meyer (February-12-2024) Daily Devotional: Uncommon Wisdom Is Supernatural

Surprisingly, many sophisticated and intelligent people lack wisdom and common sense. Wisdom and common sense are closely linked; Wisdom discerns truth in a situation, while common sense provides good judgment regarding what to do about the truth. Wisdom is supernatural—it isn't taught by men; it is a gift from God.

It is amazing how many people seem to think that common sense is incompatible with being "spiritual." Spiritual people don't float around all day on clouds of glory, seeing angels and hearing disembodied voices. You live in a real world with real issues and need real answers. You do the seeking, and He does the speaking, but He is the Spirit of Wisdom and will not tell you to do things that are unwise.

If you need real answers in your life, wisdom is yours for the asking.

Prayer Starter:Father, thank You for imparting supernatural wisdom on me as one of Your children. Thank You for giving me real answers, amen.
