Joyce Meyer (November-13-2023) Daily Devotional: Overcome Evil with Good.

As a Christian, you can resist the enemy and overcome evil by having an aggressive, power-packed attitude. You can release positive spiritual power that will always conquer negative power. But it doesn’t happen automatically. You must take a spiritually aggressive position and stand your ground.

Dealing with people requires a different approach, however. You are to treat people with dignity, respect, and love. For myself, I had to learn how to be a “lion-hearted lamb”—spiritually strong in dealing with the enemy and meek and gentle in dealing with people.

Being good to people will require that you walk in love, which is an effort that always costs you something. But people who are spiritually powerful always walk in love. It is God’s way of overcoming evil with good. And it is well worth the effort.

Prayer of the Day: Father, I come to You today asking that you help me muster the spiritual strength to stand firm against evil as well as the heart and compassion to show love and respect to others.

Sid Roth - The Secret to Living Above ALL Evil.

Be Powerful: Proclaim the Words of the Lord! Prophetic voice Brenda Kunneman’s new book and teaching series will supercharge your faith and your resolve!

Brenda’s latest book, The Daily Decree, puts the words of Heaven to work for the King of kings. Like Jesus, believers must listen for the Father’s voice and declare what He has spoken. When you boldly decree God’s word, your words are saturated in the supernatural life and creative power of the Kingdom!

Brenda lays out a series of legal decrees that were birthed in the heart of God, shared with her, and now are imparted to you. These are your tools for action, and they include:

• Confessions that release blessing: Decrees backed by Scripture that you can confess boldly!
• Declarations that unlock breakthrough: Prophetic words to help you overcome specific adversities of life
• Proclamations that unleash destiny: Points of agreement between you and God to prophetically announce what He is saying about your life and future

Charles Stanley (May-07-2023) Daily Devotional: Hate Evil

When we learn to hate evil, we learn to love what God loves.

Psalm 97:10-12 - Hate evil, you who love the LORD, Who preserves the souls of His godly ones; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Light is sown like seed for the righteous And gladness for the upright in heart. Be glad in the LORD, you righteous ones, And give thanks to His holy name.

You may be hesitant to use the word Hate in any situation, but there are times when it is appropriate. As God’s children, we’re to love what He loves and hate what He hates. That’s why verse 10 of today’s passage tells us, “Hate evil, you who love the Lord.”

But many Christians fail to adopt this attitude regularly. Instead, there’s often a tendency to play with evil, keeping it nearby for amusement, and even making excuses for its presence. Some may say, “Well, I can’t escape evil since it’s all around me! So the best I can do is try to manage it appropriately.”

What a deception this is. We can’t manage wickedness. (See Romans 7:19-25 - For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. But if I am doing the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me. I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good. For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man, but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin) As soon as we have a single evil thought, we’ve sinned. Psalm 37:27 says, “Turn from evil and do good.” In other words, righteousness requires a complete about-face so we head in the opposite direction from evil.

We live in a world that is permeated by sin, which is impossible to avoid 100 percent of the time. But we can remove ourselves from particularly tempting situations. Ask the Lord today for the wisdom to recognize sinful traps and the strength to do what’s right.

Bill Johnson - Repaying Evil with Kindness, Bethel Church. “Our authority has been given to the benefit of people not for their destruction” -Bill Johnson If we refuse to vindicate ourselves and stand as an encourager to someone else than God can “come with wrath” to discipline that person. If we take it upon ourselves to discipline somebody to vindicate ourselves we have misused the authority God has given us.
