John Hagee (March-13-2024) Daily Devotional: Matthew 6:12 - And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

Corrie ten Boom was a Dutch watchmaker in World War II. Her family helped many Jews escape the Holocaust by hiding them in a secret room in their home. Eventually, they were arrested and sent to a concentration camp.

Under the atrocious conditions, her aged father died. She and her sister, Betsie, were starved and endured dehumanizing abuse. Her sister died, but in a miraculous clerical error, Corrie was released.

Years later, while speaking at a church, a man approached her after the service. It was one of the cruel, vicious guards who had tortured her! He stood before her, hand outstretched, asking for forgiveness.

Coldness clutched her heart, but she later wrote: “Forgiveness is an act of the will, and the will can function regardless of the temperature of the heart.” Out loud, she asked, “Jesus, help me.”

Woodenly, she grasped his hand. She recounted that the “current of heaven” raced from her shoulder, down her arm, and into their clutched hands. Flooded with a feeling of warm reconciliation, she heard herself say, “I forgive you, brother.” With clasped hands, the former guard and the former prisoner wept together.

She later said that she had never felt the love of God as intensely as she did in that moment: “To forgive is to set a prisoner free and to discover that the prisoner is you.”

Blessing: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. May God give you the courage and the strength to forgive your enemy. May He spring you from prison to walk in the freedom of His grace and mercy.

John Hagee (March-10-2024) Daily Devotional: Matthew 5:23-24 - Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you … first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

Jesus practiced a principle that few of us wish to embrace. While we were still sinners, He laid down His life for our forgiveness. He went first.

When it comes to forgiveness, we need to make the first move. When an impasse occurs, we must take the first step to be reconciled to the person with whom we have a point of contention.

Jesus said that, if we come to His altar to offer up our prayers and gifts, and we remember that someone has something against us, we should stop. We should leave our gift lying on the altar and first make every effort to be reconciled to that person. Only then is God’s ear bent towards us.

Whatever grudge, resentment or anger lies between us and another person … lies between us and God too. Our feet should rush to be first in forgiveness. Even if that person is not ready for resolution, we are able to return to the altar with a clear conscience and a clean heart.

Knock on a door, make a phone call or write a letter today. Apologize, shake a hand or shed some tears in the fight for reconciliation. You go first!

Blessing: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. May forgiveness start a revolution of love from heart to heart, home to home, and church to church until the whole world knows Jesus as the Prince of Peace!

John Hagee (March-09-2024) Daily Devotional: Matthew 6:15 - But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Many of us live in a prison that another person has built around us, and we will not reclaim our freedom until we choose to use the master key that Jesus has mandated and modeled for us.

If we are bound by the hurt and pain inflicted by someone else, forgiveness is not optional. The Word of God spells it out clearly. If we do not forgive the trespasses and sins of others against us, our Father will not forgive our trespasses and sins against Him.

The apostle Paul repeats this principle in Ephesians 4:32 when he instructs us to be kind and tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God, for Christ’s sake, has forgiven us. He goes on to say that if we have a complaint against another person, even as Christ has forgiven us, we must forgive him also (Colossians 3:13).

Jesus and Paul mandated forgiveness – and modeled it too. Paul suffered for the Gospel – practicing forgiveness along the way and seeing new converts won into the Kingdom. Even as Jesus hung on the Cross, He cried out to God to forgive His persecutors, the very ones for which He died.

Forgiveness is the key that our Master has provided. We can lay hold of it to turn the lock and walk out freely into His glorious light.

Blessing:  May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. As you have heard the Word, may God give you the courage and strength to obey it. Receive the blessing of His magnificent freedom today!

John Hagee (March-08-2024) Daily Devotional: Matthew 6:14 - For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

The quality of our lives, of our relationships with family and friends – even with God Himself – is captured in this one word: forgiveness.

Forgiveness allows the past to die and forges a new beginning. It is the key that unlocks the door of hatred and resentment and allows the fresh wind of love and acceptance to blow through our hearts. Forgiveness is the power that breaks the chains of bitterness and anger and allows us to walk away free. It brings restoration in our marriages, healing to our families, and unity in the body of Christ.

Forgiveness was one of the major themes of Jesus’ ministry. He showed us the lavish love and extravagant forgiveness of our Father, and He admonished us to be just as generous in our forgiveness of others. If we do not practice forgiveness, that refusal has the power to destroy the quality of our lives on earth and forfeit our invitation to enter through the gates of heaven.

Forgiveness begins as an act of our will – whether we feel like extending grace or not. Following obedience to the Word of God, inner healing will come so completely that peace will be restored to us. Whom do you need to forgive today?

Blessing: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. Jesus has paid the price for our forgiveness and has given us the power of His Holy Spirit to practice forgiveness and peace towards others. Do all things through Christ as He gives you strength.

Watch David Jeremiah Sunday Sermon: Slaying the Giant of Worry - Matthew 6:25-34. Worrying is an instinctive part of human nature - such a natural response to trouble - do you sometimes wonder why Christ so clearly condemned it? Dr. David Jeremiah turns to Matthew chapter six, where Jesus discusses the problem of worry.

John Hagee (February-13-2024) Daily Devotional: Matthew 21:42 - Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord’s doing, And it is marvelous in our eyes’?"

The birth of Jesus Christ fulfilled every prophecy given in the Old Testament, and the life of Christ painted the exact portrait of the One who was promised. Every action that He took and every word He spoke shouted in agreement with John the Baptist, “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” But regardless of all that He did to demonstrate who He was on the earth, the men in that day rejected Him. Why? Because Jesus was what they needed, but He wasn’t what they wanted. They needed a Savior; they wanted a king. They needed someone to forgive them of sin; they wanted someone to run Caesar out of town. When they saw His miracles and His majesty, they said to themselves, “Maybe this is the guy who’s going to bring back the good ol’ days.” But having seen the priceless gemstone of eternity, they walked away from the priceless treasure for counterfeit traditions.

What a joy to know that our Savior is not just another stone; He is the Stone that our faith is built upon. Never put your faith in something that can be substituted. You can take lots of stones out of a building and replace them, but if you take the cornerstone away, the building goes flat. Put your faith in the Chief Cornerstone. You can’t live without Him.

Today's Blessing: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you. May the Lord be gracious unto you and give you His peace. May you know that your destiny is in the hand of the Lord, measured only by your obedience to His Word. As you obey the Lord, so shall His substance and blessing be poured out to you. Trust and obey for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey. May the Lord bless you and all that you put your hands to. In Jesus’ name, receive this blessing.

John Hagee (February-11-2024) Daily Devotional: Matthew 19:6 - Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.

God sanctifies our marriages. Are we fighting to protect what He has promised to preserve?

The Old Testament Israelites returned from captivity to find Jerusalem in ruins, the city walls demolished. The Israelites – not the invading Babylonians – caused their own downfall when they forsook God’s covenant. Their neglect of His principles allowed an enemy to swoop in, decimate the walls, and destroy the city.

When we forsake God’s covenant of holy matrimony, we open ourselves to the attack of the enemy. When we neglect our spouses, we allow the enemy to scale the walls to steal, kill, and destroy our marriages, families, and homes.

Many marriages are destroyed by outsiders. Families are ripped apart because people who have no part in that covenant relationship intrude where they do not belong and scatter it like straw in the wind.

Examine your marriage and family. Are there gaps in the wall? Has the border been compromised? Do not be distracted by detractors. Be alert against the schemes of the enemy. Pull the border tight and protect it for your spouse, your family, and all the generations to come.

Our commitment to our spouses and families impacts our homes, our churches, and our greater community. How are you protecting what God has joined together?

Blessing: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. Determine to protect your marriage against the attacks of the enemy. As you honor this sacred covenant, may the God of hope fill your homes with all joy and love by the power of His Holy Spirit.

John Hagee (February-02-2024) Daily Devotional: Matthew 6:11 - Give us this day our daily bread.

All of us crave the liberty and joy that can be found in relationship with Jesus Christ. Hiding behind that desire, though, we may harbor a taste for our old lives.

We long for Christ’s forgiveness, but we carry a grudge against another. We pray for the blessings of prosperity, but we seethe with jealousy when He blesses our neighbor. We relish the gift of grace, but we judge others instead of extending that same generosity.

We combine two things that do not mix – daily bread with deadly bread! We must choose between the daily bread of heaven that comes from God or the deadly bread of this world.

Our daily bread says that God is more than enough, while the deadly bread tells us that we need more. Our daily bread instructs us to love our neighbors and bless those who persecute us, while the deadly bread pushes us to seek revenge.

God has generously provided us with His daily bread through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. From the pages of His Word springs the message of salvation, freedom, hope, and redemption.

We must repent and cut away those cravings for our old lives—deadly bread—and the certain death to which they lead. We must embrace the daily bread given by a loving Father who satisfies our every longing with good gifts.

Blessing: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. May you hunger for the daily bread of God. May you feast on it to find deeper faith and the fullness of life in Him.
