Bill Johnson (December-13-2019) Sermon: Your Authority to Sleep Through the Storm. Quotes: “Transformed people transform cities. If we want to see our cities transformed, then we've got to see things the way He sees them. Often, He does things completely differently than what we expect. Jesus is sleeping in a boat and the disciples wake Him up and ask Him, “Don't you care that we are perishing?” He gets up and they tell him that they are in a life-threatening situation. He turns to the storm, rebukes it and releases peace over the storm. I have the sense that He was sleeping because the world He dwells in has no storms. He was modeling what you and I would have the opportunity to do, since we are seated in heavenly places with Him. We are living from His dominion towards the affairs, difficulties and broken situations of our lives. He’s teaching us how to do life. You have authority over any storm you can sleep through. You protect your peace and minister from that place.”
