David Jeremiah (March-29-2024) Daily Devotional: God Over All - Turning Point.

For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe. - Deuteronomy 10:17

Recommended Reading: Isaiah 44:6 - THERE IS NO OTHER GOD - 6 “Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel,And his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:‘I am the First and I am the Last;Besides Me there is no God.

The title “king of kings” goes back to the thirteenth-century B.C. Assyrian Empire. When city-states, ruled by kings, were conquered, the conquering king would become known as the “king of [all the other] kings.” It became a superlative phrase referring to preeminence—the most powerful king (Daniel 2:37).

The phrase became common throughout Mesopotamian and Middle Eastern cultures to describe the best of the best—as in the biblical book titled “Song of Songs.” It is even used to describe the God of Israel in various forms: “God of gods” and “Lord of lords” (Deuteronomy 10:17; Psalm 136:2-3), the “Lord of kings” (Daniel 2:47), and Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 6:15; Revelation 17:14; 19:16). When referring to our God, what does this ancient phrase mean for us today? It means God is ruler over all; He is in charge; He is King of the present and the future.

In a day when it is easy to wonder if anyone is in control, remember that there is only one “God of gods.” His will will be done on earth as well as in heaven.

Matt Hagee - Watch Sermon: The God You Can Trust. The words “in God we trust” are printed on our money, but often missing in our daily lives. If there was ever a time to trust in something stable, it’s right now. The Word tells us that everything that can be shaken will be shaken. This clearly describes the times we are living in. Where do we put our trust? Where do we turn in times of uncertainty? Our Father in Heaven has never failed us. Follow him through adversity and He will bring the victory.

Joyce Meyer (March 26, 2024) Daily Devotional: God Is Always Good.

Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse]. James 1:17 (AMPC)

James tells us that God is good, period. He is not good sometimes; He is always good.

Isn’t it wonderful to have a God Who is always the same? With God there is no turning, no variation. We can depend on Him to be faithful all the time, to be merciful and forgiving all the time, to only do us good as long as we live.

If we are having a hard time, if we feel like giving up, God is still good. He is not the Author of our problems. If something bad happens to us, God is still good. He doesn’t do good things for us because we are good, and we deserve them; He does good things for us because He is good, and He loves us. We can depend on God’s goodness in our lives!

The key to happiness and fulfillment is not in changing our situation or circumstances, but in trusting God to be God in our life.

Prayer of the Day: Father, I know You are always good, no matter what is going on around me. Please help to trust You in all situations, good and bad.

Daily Devotional (March-26-2024) My Lord and my God.

Scripture Reference: John 20:27-28 - Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

After seeing and hearing Jesus, Thomas makes two confessions. First he says to Jesus; you are my Lord. This is the first and most important confession we can make. Paul says in the letter to the Romans that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord you shall be saved. To confess that he is Lord is more than just believing he is the Lord of the universe. It is more than believing he is Lord over all powers. It is to confess like Thomas did. You are MY Lord. I hereby give ruler ship over to you. From this moment I declare that you are My Lord. You will make the descisions in my life from now on. This is a confession modern Christians don’t like. They like to “receive” him as their personal savior, and not as Lord. They want him to save them, but not rule over them. Jesus can only be savior, if he is also our Lord. He is Lord AND savior.

The second confession Thomas makes is that Jesus is God. He is not just a second person in the Godhead, or a demigod. He is God. Everything that God is, he is. ALL the fullness of the Godhead dwells in him. Not just a part. This is also something religious people don’t like. It is ok to make him devine. It is ok to make him supernatural. But don’t say that he is God. This is what nailed him to the cross. This is the reason they picked up stones to stone him, because as they said; you declare yourself to be God.

There are two confessions the enemy hates. One is that Jesus is Lord, and the other is that he is God. The enemy wants us to be in the drives seat of our lives, because we are easily manipulated and influenced. He cannot manipulate Jesus. That’s why I confess Jesus to be Lord of my life. He hates the confession that Jesus is God, because that makes him scared. The bible says the Devil believes that there is but One God and he trembles.

Let us make the Devil tremble. Let us make him upset. Let us confess Jesus; My Lord and my God

Christian Motivation - GOD WILL OPEN DOORS OF OVERFLOWING BLESSINGS IF YOU DO THESE THINGS. Whenever God decides to open doors for us, there are things fighting and pushing us from achieving that.It keeps us from accessing the fullness of what God has planned for us.

Tony Evans - Sermon: Encountering the Power of God. Have a fresh experience with the living God, who eagerly desires to reveal Himself to you in a meaningful way.
