John Hagee (March-10-2024) Daily Devotional: John 17:20-21 - “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You…”

As Jesus looked, in turn, at each beloved face gathered around the Passover table that last evening, He knew what lay ahead – for Him and for them. After the meal, the King of kings and Lord of lords laid aside His garments, picked up a towel, and knelt before each one to wash their feet…even the one who would betray him in just a few short hours. After He sent Judas into the night, He opened His heart to share those final, important truths that the disciples would need to carry them through the next terrifying hours. He concluded those precious moments by praying His heart over them, reaching out to the Father on their behalf, on our behalf.

He could have prayed many things. He alone knew the horror, the mind-numbing grief, the overwhelming disillusionment that would follow His benediction. He understood the transformation that needed to occur so that this ragamuffin band of rough men could turn the world upside down (Acts 17:6). Only He could foresee the faith explosion that would shake the very foundations of the formidable Roman empire. He could have asked for and imparted many things, but He asked for one thing over and over: that we all may be one.

Five times He prayed that we might be one. Just like He and the Father are one, He asked that we would be united, that we would stand together in the Word that He gave, that we would radiate the glory that He shared. And somehow, this unity between us, this unbreakable bond will testify to the fact that God sent Jesus to this world and that He has loved us with an unsurpassed love. God loved the world so much that He sent His only Son so we could believe in Him, so we could be united with Him in love and share in this great big, messy, wonderful family. We will never be on the outside, never be without a friend or advocate or helper again. We stand as one. This is our forever family.

Today, are you the answer to the petition that Jesus prayed on that night long ago? Are you unified with the body of Christ? Are you making every effort to live in harmony with your brothers and sisters? Are you humbly kneeling to wash their feet? Are you surrendering your will to stand united in heart, mind, purpose and action? A world is waiting to be turned upside down again.

Today's Blessing:  Our matchless Savior, thank You for the tender way You care for us, how You know exactly what we need. In the places where I have been divided from my brothers and sisters, separated by anger or bitterness, please forgive me. Show me how to dwell in unity with others so that we may radiate Your glory. In the name of our Prince of Peace...Amen.

John Hagee (January-12-2024) Daily Devotional: John 4:24 - God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.

If you read John 4, you know that the Samaritan woman whom Jesus had just met began to debate with Him about which mountain they should worship on. Jesus responded that worship doesn’t have anything to do with a place; it’s about how you worship. It has to do with what’s inside you. It has to do with the heart of worship—it must be in spirit and in truth.

That debate is not unlike what we sometimes hear today. Should we sing this way or that way, clap or not, lift our hands or not? Should we use a band like we’re at a concert? Or, should we sit in silent reflection? Do we really think that God prefers one over the other? I think what He said to Samuel still rings true today: “Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7). Regardless of the style or quality of the music, regardless of the enthusiasm, regardless of the appearance, you might not have God’s presence. It’s only when you have the heart of worship that you have the privilege of being in His presence.

God is seeking those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth.

Today's Blessing: Heavenly Father, bless us this day. Keep us, watch over us, guard us and guide us. Let Your goodness and Your mercy follow us. Let Your grace shower down upon us and Your mercy saturate every area of our lives. Allow us to walk today with the attitude of praise, knowing that no matter what we go through, no matter what we’re facing, no matter where we’ve been, You deserve all the glory. You are the King of kings and the Lord of lords, and we magnify You. In Jesus’ name, we receive this blessing.

John Hagee (December-30-2023) Daily Devotional: John 2:10 - And he said to him, ‘Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!

By all accounts, this year has seen its share of tragedy and trials. If you are exhausted and disheartened, invite Jesus into the situation. His presence changes everything – even when our circumstances do not.

When He was born, humble shepherds came to pay homage. Wise men traveled from the East with camels loaded down with priceless treasures for the tiny King. When He was twelve, He stole away to dazzle the most brilliant theological minds in Israel with His unusual understanding of the scriptures.

When a wedding disaster threatened the reputation and dignity of His friends, He turned water into wine and gladdened the celebration. In fact, He saved the best for last! His presence makes things better.

When He shows up, dead things come to life. Fear yields to hope. Disease yields to health. Poverty yields to prosperity. Depression yields to joy. Gloom gives way to glory. As the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, when He roars, victory comes.

As we prepare to turn the calendars to a new year, cast all your cares and anxieties on Jesus. Walk fearlessly into a new year filled with His hope and promises. Perhaps, He has saved the best ‘til now.

Today's Blessing: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. In spite of struggles and sadness, lift your head and rejoice. Your King waits in the new year, and the best is yet to be.

John Hagee (December-30-2023) Daily Devotional: John 20:21 - So Jesus said to them again, "Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you."

Have you committed to any New Year’s resolutions? Have you vowed to break a habit or initiate a healthy one? Our natural inclination is to get stuck in Neutral.

In our overcrowded lives, we assume that someone else will do what God actually is calling us to do.  Someone else will witness to a neighbor or volunteer at a shelter or pray with a co-worker.

The Bystander Effect – a social psychological phenomenon – indicates that individuals fail to offer help when other people are present. The greater the number of bystanders, the less likely any of them will help. Everyone waits for someone else to come to the aid of the victim.

For someone in your life right now, you are God’s Plan A. Most likely, He is prompting you to do something you have not done before, to stretch beyond what is comfortable. Jesus is counting on you to listen to His voice, to obey His prompting, and to reach out to meet the need. He created you for this moment, this good work that He ordained, to be the answer to someone’s prayer.

Have you asked God to reveal your 2022 mission? All around us, people need a Savior. And YOU are Plan A for at least one of them. How will you resolve to intentionally serve Jesus and others in the new year?

Blessing: Heavenly Father, here I am. Send me. Help me get past my excuses in 2022. Let me be quick to answer and quick to fulfill the mission to which You are calling me. In Jesus’ name and for His glory…amen.

John Hagee (December-29-2023) Daily Devotional: John 2:1-2 - On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.

Wherever Jesus is invited, He makes an appearance! Whether eating in a friend’s home or teaching in the temple, He took a keen interest in the joys and sorrows of ordinary people.

In John 2, we find Him attending a wedding. When He was invited to people’s homes or events, He went – whether rich or poor, politically-connected or societal outcasts. This celebration was in the obscure village of Cana, and we assume the bride and groom were poor, because they could not furnish enough wine for the duration of the festivities.

Running out of wine equated to the deepest disgrace and would have marred the bride and groom’s reputation for years. Even though Jesus declared that His hour had not yet come, His mother told the servants to do whatever He asked. She knew that He would not allow His friends to be humiliated. His first public miracle demonstrated His deep compassion.

Jesus cares about every detail in our lives. No matter how ordinary we consider ourselves to be, He comes when we call. He cares about our fears and inadequacies. He shares our joys and victories. Have you invited Him to come into your heart and home? He never declines an invitation.

Today's Blessing: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. In the coming year, open the doors wide to invite Jesus into your heart and home. In His presence, you will experience fullness of joy!

John Hagee (December-29-2023) Daily Devotional: John 10:28 - And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

How comforting to know that God holds us securely in His hand, cradling us with great care and compassion. If you are exhausted at the end of a very difficult year, be assured of several things.

Every detail of 2019 was filtered through the loving fingers of our Father. Nothing and no one can tear you away from Him. He is not shocked or alarmed by the drama or tragedy in your life.

Whatever you perceive as your greatest weakness, whatever is lacking in you, in the place that you feel the most ugly and the least lovable…you are His. Now and forever. He will not disown or throw you away. You are precious in His sight.

He cannot wait to swoop you up and pull you in close. Zephaniah 3:17 says that He delights in you as He sings with joy. Imagine His lips on your forehead as He hums a lullaby. You belong to Him.

Run to Him as fast as your tired legs can carry you. Throw out your arms in complete trust. He will swing you up, pull you close, and call you His own.

He won’t give you up, and He won’t give up on you. You are accepted in the Beloved (Ephesians 1:6). He’s got you. Better things are on the way.

Blessing: Heavenly Father, I am Your child. Thank You for the love that pulls me close, for the acceptance that makes me safe, and for the promise of a better tomorrow. Wipe away my tears, and fill my heart with hope for 2020. In the power of Jesus’ name…amen.

John Hagee (December-27-2023) Daily Devotional: John 14:12 - Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

Jesus’ claim that we would do greater works than He did seems quite preposterous when we consider all the works that He did!

Greater things than turning water into wine, healing incurable diseases, and raising the dead? Fueled by the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit, He assured us that we will do greater than these!

Every miracle consists of two parts: God’s part and our part. Jesus commanded the man who had been sick for 38 years to get up, pick up his bed, and walk. He was healed immediately (John 5:8)! Jesus urged the man with the withered hand to stretch out the useless limb. When he obeyed, it was fully restored (Matthew 12:13).

Jesus told the blind man to go wash in the pool of Siloam. When he splashed the water on his eyes, he came back seeing (John 9:7). When the wine ran out at the wedding where Jesus was a guest, His mother instructed the servants to do what Jesus said. She trusted Him to help His friends.

When we demonstrate our faith by our actions, we will do greater works. When we listen and obey, the best is yet to be!

Today's Blessing: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. God’s best lies in front of you! May you do “greater works” in the coming year as He leads you from glory to glory!

John Hagee (December-23-2023) Daily Devotional: John 1:29 - The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!"

Many people have become so familiar with the Christmas story that they overlook the reason why God sent His Son into our world.

Many go to Bethlehem’s manger, peer at the baby, chuck Him under the chin and say, “It’s good to see You, Jesus! We’ll check back at Easter.” Merely recognizing Him does not equate to receiving Him.

Peter tells us that Jesus was ordained, from the foundations of the world, as the Lamb of God. Micah recognized Him as Ruler of Israel, future King of kings and Lord of lords.

The Lamb, born in a stable, grew strong in spirit, was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on Him (Luke 2:40). When John saw Him on the Jordan River bank, he cried, “Behold! The Lamb of God!”

John was baptizing for the remission of sins. Jesus waded into a current of judgment, was lowered into a sea of transgression, and was resurrected from the watery grave. God affirmed from heaven: “This is my beloved Son in Whom I am well pleased.”

More than just the Babe of Bethlehem, He is the Lamb of God Who takes away the sins of the world. Do you recognize Him? Have you received Him? Accept this greatest of gifts!

Blessing: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. Celebrate the coming of Christ to earth.  Make room in your heart for this Great Gift – the Savior and Redeemer. Come let us adore Him!

John Hagee (December-22-2023) Daily Devotional: John 6:51 - I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever…

In the Hebrew language, Bethlehem means “house of bread.” How fitting that God sent Jesus, the Bread of Life, to become the provision for all humanity there!

Wheatfields abounded in Judea. The threshing floors at Bethlehem provided a place where the wheat was separated from the chaff, the seed was ground into flour, and the flour made into bread.

In the Old Testament, Naomi returned to Bethlehem. Her family had escaped the Judean famine by going to Moab. While there, her husband and sons died, leaving her with no means of support. She heard that God had blessed His people with bread again, so she and her daughter-in-law, Ruth, went back.

While gleaning in Boaz’s fields, Ruth met her kinsman-redeemer. He covered her with his cloak and welcomed her into his family. She came to Bethlehem poor, alone, and outside the promises of God. Boaz made her his bride, brought her into the covenant, and enriched her life in every way.

The world was shaken when the Seed of Heaven fell to the threshing floors of Bethlehem. Our Kinsman Redeemer came to wrap us in His robe of righteousness, call us His bride, and extend His covenant to make us heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus. Through the Bread of Life, we will never hunger again.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. May you never lose the wonder of the unspeakable love that sent God’s Son from heaven to earth. Allow that Gift to transform your life as you live loved in this blessed season!

Blessing: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. May you taste and see that He is good. Come eat the Bread of Life to live forever!

John Hagee December-21-2023 Daily Devotional: John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son…

From the beginning of time, God planned and prepared a place for us to receive everything that we need for life now and eternally. He so loved us!

God always knew that He would do this for us. First Peter 1:20 assures us that, before God even laid the foundations of the world, His divine plan included Jesus. This was no afterthought.

Before He said, “Let there be light,” He understood that Adam would succumb to temptation and fall into sin. He knew that we would need a Savior.

Our sin would require a cleansing sacrifice, and the only remedy would be the blood spilled by His precious Son. He spoke all things into existence anyway.

At the right time, He revealed His plan in the sleepy village where the Treasure of Heaven came to earth. God did not send Him because we deserved it. He sent Him because He loved us so.

Through a tiny babe born in Bethlehem, God demonstrated how absolutely, unconditionally, limitlessly, and incomprehensibly He loves us. Never doubt the depth of His love.

Whatever burdens have buried the beauty of Bethlehem in your life, roll them back to remember God has provided all you need. Never allow these words to fall on deaf ears: For God so loved…you.

Blessing: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. May you never lose the wonder of the unspeakable love that sent God’s Son from heaven to earth. Allow that Gift to transform your life as you live loved in this blessed season!
