TD Jakes (March 27, 2024) Daily Devotional: Your Gift.

Bible Quote: "For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away." - Matthew 25:29

Hear me today as I declare unto you, you are gifted! In the echoing chambers of your heart, let the truth resound, "I am gifted!" This isn't just a mantra, it's a divine proclamation. In the fabric of your being, God has interwoven a unique blend of talents, a treasure trove of abilities that the world yearns to witness. Your gift is not a mistake, and it's not insignificant. It’s a testament to the divine strategy, the masterful creation of a God who calls you His masterpiece.

The parable of the talents, as shared in the book of Matthew, is not just a story; it's a divine mirror reflecting how Heaven views our potential. Like the servants entrusted with talents, you too have been entrusted with something precious. Whether it be five talents, two, or one, the question isn’t what you lack but what you choose to do with that which you’ve been given.

Do not be discouraged by the comparison, for the one with two talents who doubled what he had was as celebrated as the one with five. It’s about faithfulness, beloved. It’s about taking what God has placed in your hands and multiplying it, not for our glory, but for His. It's about standing firm in the identity God has given you, shouting above the lies of the enemy, "I am gifted!"

Let not your heart be troubled by the one who buried his talent, for his story is not your ending. You are called to a higher purpose, one of courage, action, and faith. You are equipped, anointed, and appointed for such a time as this.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before You, recognizing the gifts You’ve placed within us. Help us, Lord, to see our worth through Your eyes, to understand the magnitude of our influence. Give us the strength to multiply what You’ve given us, to not bury our talents in fear or doubt. We declare that we are too gifted to be held back by our insecurities, too blessed to be envious, and too favored to give up. May we live in the fullness of our gifts, for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Joseph Prince (March-05-2024) Daily Devotional: Only Good Gifts

“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” - Matthew 7:11

As a father, it always pains me to see my children unwell. My firstborn daughter, Jessica, is all grown up now, but I remember how it broke my heart to see her bawling when she was suffering from viral fever as a baby.

I remember cradling her in my arms and praying over her as I paced around her room the whole night. I sponged her feverish body over and over again. As long as she was sick, I could not rest.

I hated the fever that was causing my baby to convulse in pain. I would have done anything to alleviate her discomfort. If I could have taken her fever in my own body so she would not have to go through the pain, I would have gladly done so.

What I feel when my children are unwell is only a microcosmic reflection of what our heavenly Father feels for us when we are unwell. He wants us brimming with health and life. He hates sicknesses and diseases because of what they do to us.

But the difference is this: He was able to take our sicknesses, and He put them on Jesus’ own body as He hung on the cross, so that we would not have to suffer them. The Bible tells us: “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses” (Matt. 8:17).

Why did our Lord Jesus do that? Because He loves us so much. He could not rest until He had secured our salvation, our health, and our wholeness. Finally, when He had borne every sin, every disease, and every infirmity upon His own body, He cried, “It is finished!” (John 19:30) and rested.

The Bible shows us this clearly: God is a good God. He is our loving heavenly Father. That is why I cannot understand why there are those who teach that God sometimes uses sickness to teach us a lesson or that we need to “pray hard” for His healing.

Can you imagine any earthly father inflicting suffering on his own child? Must you be persuaded to alleviate your child’s pain?

There are even some people who claim that it is sometimes God’s will for us to be sick. But when their own children fall sick, they do everything within their power to ensure their children recover. If it were really God’s will for us to be sick, seeking recovery would be deliberately trying to get out of God’s will!

My friend, reject anything that even remotely suggests that God uses sickness and suffering to teach us something. Our Father is full of grace and mercy and wants us to be healthy, provided for, and protected from every evil occurrence, sickness, and disease!

Watch Matt Hagee Sunday Sermon - The Impartation of His Gift. The challenge is not knowing the right thing to do, but in having the strength to do it. If you have something that needs to be shared with someone around you, share it. No one will benefit from the gifts God has given you, from your testimony, until you do. For God’s promises to be fulfilled in your life, seek first the Kingdom of God.

Charles Stanley (February-14-2024) Daily Devotional: Accepting God’s Gift of Love

God’s unconditional love can be hard for us to grasp—that’s why we must have faith.

1 John 4:7-10 - Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Many people simply can’t believe that the Lord loves them. Others think He does, but only when they perform to some imaginary standard of excellence. Why is it so hard for some of us to accept His unconditional love?

One reason is that we have a hard time loving other people without restrictions. The way we show care and acceptance can be shaded by self-interest. Or it might ebb and flow, depending upon the other person’s behavior. The fact that human love can be conditional causes us to wrongly assume that the Lord’s can as well.

A sense of unworthiness is another factor. But whether or not we feel deserving of God’s love, the truth is that no one is worthy of His goodness and mercy. The Father’s love has nothing to do with our merit; it is based solely on His grace, Jesus’ work of redemption on our behalf, and our secure position in Christ. To consider yourself beyond the reach of grace is to trample on the Son’s sufficient sacrifice and the Father’s generous gift.

Like so much of the Christian life, accepting God’s love is a matter of faith. Even when you can’t feel it, believe it.

John Hagee Sunday Sermon February-4-2024 - The Gift of Forgetting. Did you succeed last year? Forget it! Did you fail last year? Forget it! Did someone hurt your feelings ten years ago? Forget it! Forgetting your past should be a priority. Use your life experiences to become better, not bitter. Don’t allow your past to be so remembered, so completely burned into your memory, that it paralyzes you today and imperils your tomorrow. Remembering a bitter past only produces pain for you and for those around you.

Joyce Meyer (December-25-2023) Christmas Daily Devotional: The Most Amazing Gift.

As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, let us remember what an amazing gift God has given to us and what a sacrifice it must have been for Him. Then let us be willing to also give sacrificially to help others not only find Christ, but also learn to live the large, free, and full life that He has provided.

There are many ways in which we can give. We can pray, serve, give time, money, encouragement, and help. Our tradition is to give at Christmastime on a broader scale than we do at other times of the year, but I don’t believe it should be that way. I believe we should make every day an opportunity to give to others. Someone said, “We make a living by getting, but we make a life by giving.”

I wasted many years living selfishly, and all it did was bring me unhappiness and a narrow life filled only with myself. I have learned to love giving and I find that it enlarges my life in ways that are amazing. I am happier, healthier, more energetic, and have the satisfaction of personal fulfillment. I don’t feel that I am wasting my life on things that don’t matter, but instead I believe that I am investing in eternity.

If you feel you need a change, this just might be the change you are searching for. Jesus said to forget yourself and take up your cross and follow Him (see Mark 8:34). I know it sounds like a frightening thing to do, but if you take the leap of faith, it will be the most rewarding thing you have ever done.

Prayer of the Day: Father, thank You for the gift of Jesus and for the sacrifice You made in giving Him to me. Help me not to be afraid to live a life of sacrifice in order to help others as You have helped me.
