Derek Prince (1915 - 2003) was born in India of British parents. Educated as a scholar of Greek and Latin at Eton College and Cambridge University, England, he held a Fellowship in Ancient and Modern Philosophy at King’s College. He also studied several modern languages, including Hebrew and Aramaic, at Cambridge University and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
While serving with the British army in World War II, he began to study the Bible and experienced a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ. Out of this encounter he formed two conclusions: first, that Jesus Christ is alive; second, that the Bible is a true, relevant, up-to-date book. These conclusions altered the whole course of his life, which he then devoted to studying and teaching the Bible.
Derek's main gift of explaining the Bible and its teaching in a clear and simple way has helped build a foundation of faith in millions of lives. His non-denominational, non-sectarian approach has made his teaching equally relevant and helpful to people from all racial and religious backgrounds.
He is the author of over 50 books, 600 audio and 100 video teachings, many of which have been translated and published in more than 100 languages. His daily radio broadcast is translated into Arabic, Chinese (Amoy, Cantonese, Mandarin, Shanghaiese, Swatow), Croatian, German, Malagasy, Mongolian, Russian, Samoan, Spanish and Tongan. The radio program continues to touch lives around the world.

Derek Prince (July-12-2020) Sermon: God Wants To Share His Throne With Us.
Bible teacher Derek Prince explains God’s primary purpose in redemption. According to him this is a personal relationship with God. That is God's primary desire, He brings us to himself.
Basic requirement of God:
1. Hear God’s voice
2. Keep His covenant
Derek Prince (July-10-2020) Sermon: God's Power In Your Hands.
Bible teacher Derek Prince points out that God’s primary purpose in redemption is a personal relationship with each of the redeemed. The primary requirement of God is to hear God’s voice and keep His covenant. God gives us authority to rule, He gives us His power in our hands.
God has destined us to be Kings and Priests (1 Pet. 2:9; Rev. 1:5–6)
A. Kings rule (Col. 1:13; Rom. 5:17; 2 Cor. 5:21)
1. Fourfold identification is path to the throne (Eph. 2:4–6)
a. Dead with Jesus
b. Buried with Him
c. Resurrected with Him
d. Enthroned with Him
The kingdom is only for priests (1 Pet. 2:5)
1. Ministry of priests: to offer sacrifice
2. Jesus was our pattern (Heb. 5:1; 7:27; 9:14)
a. He offered prayer (Heb. 13:15)
b. He offered Himself by the Spirit to the Father (Heb. 9:14)
3. In return, the believer must likewise offer himself (Rom. 12:1)
4. Jesus continues to intercede in eternity (Heb. 7:24). He shares His burden with those who are called as intercessors.
Each phase of redemption involves all three Persons of the Godhead
Jesus incarnated by Father through Holy Spirit
The Father anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit
Jesus, through the Spirit, offered Himself to the Father
The Father, by the Spirit, raised Jesus from the dead
Jesus received the promise of the Spirit from the Father
Authority Of Godhead And Satan’s Imitation
A. Father/Son on throne (Ps. 110:1–2; Heb. 12:22–24)
B. Rod of Christ’s authority rules over His enemies
A ruler’s rod has his name on it (Num. 17:2)
Three patterns of witchcraft in Old Testament
a. Magicians of Egypt
Witchcraft in the New Testament
a. Practitioners of occult resist gospel (2 Tim. 3:8, 13)
b. Ultimate battle is going to be a battle of power—not of theology
c. Impostors (chanters) will increase (2 Tim. 3:13)
d. God will give attestation to His truth
How to handle the rod
1. Receive the rod of intercession from God and stretch it out
2. Make yourself a freewill offering (Ps. 110:3)
3. Be adorned with holiness
God is assembling an army of young people
Derek Prince (July-08-2020) Sermon: The Father As A King.
Bible teacher Derek Prince uses three images to describe the role of the father. The third one is the father as king/governor. Derek explains this by:
1. The elder required to rule in his home (1 Timothy 3:4–5)
2. Abraham was chosen because God could rely on him to command his children and his household (Gen. 18:17–19)
3. Abraham—a pattern to all believers (Rom. 4:11–12 [compare to Lot in Gen. 19:14–16])
As a king the husband & father represents the family to God, just like the priests represent the people to God.
Derek Prince (july-07-2020) Sermon: The Father As A Prophet.
Bible teacher Derek Prince uses three images to describe the role of the father. The second one is the father as prophet. The father as prophet:
1. Is responsible for spiritual instruction (Ephesians 6:4)
2. Should use discipline with grace (Colossians 3:21)
3. Should continue ongoing communication in a non-religious setting - not just on Sunday morning (Deuteronomy 11:18–21)
4. Living like Noah, as a pattern for last days (Hebrews 11:7)
As a prophet the husband & father represents God to the family, just like the old testament prophets represent God to the people.
Derek Prince (July-05-2020) Sermon: The Father As A Priest.
Bible teacher Derek Prince uses three images to describe the role of the father. The first one is the father as priest. The father does this by:
1. Sacrifice of intercession for the family (Job 1:1–5 )
2. Apply the blood on the doorposts (Exodus 12:3) - the whole being of the household lay on the fathers responsibility to apply the blood.
3. Have faith for children (Mark 9:23–24)
4. Claim salvation for the family - as a privilege (Acts 16:31)
As a priest the husband & father represents the family to God, just like the priests represent the people to God.
Derek Prince (July-03-2020) Sermon: Fatherhood Of God.
'The most godlike thing a man can do is being a father.' Derek Prince states: Human fathers represent the fatherhood of God.
Paul says: 'For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.' Ephesians 3:14–15
The word family that's translated there is 'patria', This word is derived from the word 'pater' (which means father). Every family is a fatherhood and every fatherhood is derived of God. The family is the prime expression of fatherhood.
Jesus said 'I Am the Way, the Truth and the Life' (John 14:6). We often forget to read this in context. We need to know what this Way (Jesus) is leading us to. Jesus is not the destination. The destination is 'The Father'. So the purpose of redemption is to bring us to the Father.
Then, the climax of Jesus' revelation to the world is to know the Father (John 17:1, 6, 26).
God's destination is revealed in Revelation 22:3–4. We will continue to serve God forever and see His face. At last we will understood what it meant to have God as a father.
Derek Prince (July-01-2020) Sermon: Marriage As A Prophetic Act To The World.
God’s original purpose (from the beginning) with marriage was: Man and woman together to exercise dominion on behalf of God (Genesis 1:27–28). A married couple is the way for God to exercise authority over the earth. Not the man only or the woman only, but man and woman in perfect harmony together.
A second purpose is prayer. If man and woman pray together, the two are harmonizing in prayer are irresistible (Matthew 18:18–20).
A third purpose is two can walk together only in agreement (Amos 3:3). Walking together helps you harmonize.
Just like Jeremia had put a yoke on his neck, Hosea to marry a prostitute and Ezekiel to dig through a wall, a married couple also has a prophetic responsibility. With your marriage you portray the relationship between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:22–23, 32).
Derek Prince (June-29-2020) Sermon: The Home Is A Model Of The Church.
'I don't believe the Church will ever be any stronger than the ones that make up the Church.'
Bible teacher Derek Prince explains the home as a model of the church:
1. The husband—he's like the pastor/shepherd (1 Timothy 3:4–5)
2. The wife— she's like the deacon/helper
3. The children— they're the flock/congregation (Job 21:11)
Derek Prince (June-27-2020) Sermon: A Wife's Responsibility. Derek Prince distinguishes five responsibilities for the wife:
1. Be a helper to your husband (Genesis 2:18) (which doesn't mean the wife is inferior).
2. Submit to your husband as to the Lord (men likewise need to submit to their wives) (Ephesians 5:21-22)
3. Support/uphold your husband - men need support.
4. Encourage your husband
5. Intercede for your husband - spend less time criticizing and complaining and start praying for him.
Derek Prince (June-25-2020) Sermon: A Husband's Responsibility.
Derek Prince distinguishes five responsibilities for the husband:
1. Love your wife - as Christ loved the Church (Ephesians 5:25).
2. Be the head of the wife and children (1 Corinthians 11:3) - that means (1) receive input from the family, (2) make decisions, (3) initiate action and (4) give ongoing direction.
3. Provide to your wife and family - which means more than just financially provision (1 Timothy 5:8).
4. Wash with God’s Word - wash your wife and kids with the Word of God (Ephesians 5:26).
5. Nourish and cherish your wife (Ephesians 5:29).
Derek Prince (June-23-2020) Sermon: How To Know If You're A Successful Husband?
'The husband's success is seen in the wife. The wife's success is seen in the husband.'
1 Corinthians 11:7 says: 'the wife is the glory of the husband'. So if you want to know if a husband is succesful, look at his wife. One key word that a husband should produce in his wife is security. Especially in an age where there's a lot of insecure women.
In Proverbs 31:23 we read about the biblical standard of a successful woman. This passage begins, centers in and it concludes with the husband. The evidence of her success is her husband. It's what she has contributed to him that causes him to be successful. Her husband praises her. A wife longs for praise. Giving your wife praise is very important. Don't take her for granted!
Derek Prince (June-20-2020) Sermon: A Message For Dads | Father's Day 2020.
Bible teacher and experienced father Derek Prince, talks about human and divine fatherhood in this video.
Fatherhood is derived from the fatherhood of God (Eph. 3:14–15). The purpose of redemption is to bring us to the Father (John 14:6). Knowing the father is the climax of revelation (John 17:1, 6, 26).
What It Is To Be A Father:
A. Purpose consummated (Rev. 22:3–4 [compare Rev. 14:1])
B. Human fathers represent the fatherhood of God
C. Father represents Christ to family (1 Cor. 11:3)
D. Ministries of Christ which the father represents
Bible teacher Derek Prince uses three images to describe the role of the father.
1. The first one is the father as priest—represents family to God:
a. Sacrifice of intercession for family (Job 1:1–15 [compare Job 42:12–23])
b. Each father to apply the blood (Ex. 12:3)
c. Faith of father (parent) for children (Mark 9:23–24)
d. Father has privilege to claim salvation for family (Acts 16:31)
2. The second one is the father as prophet—represents God to family:
a. Fathers responsible for spiritual instruction (Eph. 6:4)
b. Discipline with grace (Col. 3:21)
c. Ongoing communication in a non-religious setting (Deut. 11:18–21)
d. Pattern for last days—Noah as prophet to his family (Heb. 11:7)
3. The third one is the father as king/governor—to rule or reign:
a. The elder required to rule in his home (1 Tim. 3:4–5)
b. Abraham was chosen because God could rely on him to command his children and his household (Gen. 18:17–19)
c. Abraham—a pattern to all believers (Rom. 4:11–12 [compare to Lot in Gen. 19:14–16])
How To Fill Your God-Given Role?
A. Acknowledge your responsibility
B. Humble yourself before God (1 Pet. 5:6)
C. Trust God for the grace
D. Be diligent
E. Make it the first claim on your time
Derek Prince Marriage Course (June-19-2020) The End Purpose Of Marriage.
'All the teaching about marriage and home in the Bible is based on two things: 1. The eternal relationships in the Godhead between the Father and the Son. 2. The purposes of God in creation.'
What is the purpose of marriage? The purpose is unity. Bible teacher Derek Prince phrases 'leave, then cleave', when reading Genesis 2:24. You have to leave your family and cleave to your wife/husband. Often there's a loyalty to the parents which stand in the way for a healthy relationship between husband and wife.
Contrary to our present culture, Derek Prince tells us sharply: 'Marriage isn't an experiment. It's a commitment.' You can't make an experiment of commitment. This commitment releases the grace that you need. If you don't make the commitment you can't claim the grace. There's no faith if you don't commit. And without faith it's impossible to please God. Committing to your wife/husband is a risk, a step of faith.
Derek Prince (June-17-2020) Sermon: Why So Many Marriages Break Up... (And The Solution). We have to enter marriage through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. 'Not I but Christ lives in me'. The man and the woman look back on that sacrifice and each lays down his/her life and expresses his/her life through the mate.
Derek Prince (June-15-2020) Bible Study: History Is The Outworking Of God's Covenant With Man.
'No sacrifice, no covenant. Every covenant demands a life laid down.'
The covenant is based on a life laid down (Ps. 50:5) and valid only through death (Heb. 9:16–17). This sacrifice has already been made by Christ on the cross. Just like Abraham offered his son Isaac (Gen. 15:8–18), God offered up His Son. When a couple decides to marry, they enter through the sacrifice of Jesus.
Derek Prince On Marriage (June-12-2020) Marriage Is A Covenant.
'A covenant is the most solemn and binding form commitment that the Bible knows.'
Bible teacher Derek Prince explains the Biblical covenants and tells us why marriage is a covenant. God takes this covenant very seriously. That's why adultery is more serious than fornication—it is a broken covenant.
Covenants are one of God's secrets. No one can understand this in Biblical sense, except by revelation. You can only know the covenant by being initiated.
Derek Prince (June-10-2020) Sermon: Husbands & Wives.
Bible teacher Derek Prince explains the Biblical covenants and tells us why marriage is a covenant.
Since it's a covenant, Derek points out that adultery is more serious than fornication—it is a broken covenant. The marriage covenant is based on a life laid down (Ps. 50:5) and only valid through death (Heb. 9:16–17).
The husband as well as the wife enter through the sacrifice of Jesus and each lays down his/her life. Each expresses life through the mate—“What will I give?”—not “get”. The ultimate purpose is unity, according to Derek. Each mate makes a commitment (marriage is not an experiment). This commitment releases grace. Eventually, the husband’s success is seen in his wife—the wife’s success is seen in her husband (1Cor. 11:7; Prov. 31:23).
Derek goes on explaining the husband’s responsibilities in marriage:
1. Love (Eph. 5:25)
2. Be head (1 Cor. 11:3)
3. Provide (1 Tim. 5:8)
4. Wash with God’s Word (Eph. 5:26)
5. Nourish and cherish (Eph. 5:29)
After that he explains the wife’s responsibilities in marriage:
1. Helper (Gen. 2:18)
2. To submit (Eph. 5:22)
3. To support/uphold
4. To encourage
Derek concludes by taking the home (or the family) as a model of the Church, that is:
1. Husband—pastor/shepherd (1 Tim. 3:4–5)
3. Children—flock/congregation (Job 21:11)
In addition, husband & wife have a prophetic responsibility: to portray the relationship between Christ and His Church (Eph. 5:22–23, 32). It's God’s original purpose that:
1. Man and woman together to exercise dominion on behalf of God (Gen. 1:27–28)
2. Two harmonizing in prayer are irresistible (Matt. 18:18–20)
3. Two can walk together only in agreement (Amos 3:3)
Derek Prince (June-08-2020) Spiritual Warfare: Fight Satan With Prayer, Praise & Proclamation.
'We must apply the power of jubilant praise and bold proclamation.'
Bible teacher Derek Prince distinguishes three activities from Jeremia 31:7 which are crucial for us to understand: 1. prayer, 2. praise and 3. proclamation.
1. Prayer. Derek Prince says: 'praying is our contribution to the outworking of God's plan'. You might ask, does my prayer really have influence, since God is Almighty? Derek respons to this by quoting scripture: 'I will not do it, until I'm inquired for it to do it', says God. Praying is our contribution to the outworking of God's purposes on earth. It's not just thinking of something and praying for it. It is looking for God's revealed purposes and praying for the outcome of this purpose. Persisting in prayer is very important
2. Praise. Derek Prince distinguishes a new level of praise in the Charismatic movement. He explains the importance of praising God. We can impose silence on satan with praise. If we would spend hours in praise, the whole atmosphere would be shaken.
3. Proclamation. Paul called himself an herald. He proclaimed the message of the Cross everywhere he came ('Jesus Christ and Him crucified). Proclamation can also be used for evil purposes. As an example of this Derek talks about islam, where there's a daily proclamation which comes from the speakers on mosques.
In Revelation 12:11 we read that 'satan is overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony'. We overcome satan by proclaiming what God has done for us.
These three activities will only be effective if we are committed to God and prepared to lay down your lives.
'What would happen if we would eliminate all reference to the visible supernatural manifestations from the book of Acts? None of the stories would be left intact.' Bible teacher Derek Prince tells us about the importance of realizing our need of God's supernatural power. 'Christianity is a religion of God's supernatural power.' Paul says in 1 Corinthians 4:20: 'The Kingdom of God is not in word, but in power'. And also in 1 Corinthians 2:1-5 Paul tells us that God was approving his message by administrating His supernatural power in Paul's ministry. In 2 Timothy 3:8 Paul's speaking about Jannes and Jambres, who resisted Moses. This contest is going to repeat itself in the end times; people who'll do false miracles. And it's going to be a matter of 'whose rod wins'. It's not argument, it's demonstration. We have to have the Spirit enabling us. One main form of that enabling, is the gifts of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12). It's particularly the revelatory gifts we desperately need in the church today.
Derek Prince (June-02-2020) Bible Study: Ephesians 6 | 'The Spiritual Armor Does Not Grow On You'.
In the famous passage in Ephesians 6:13-18 Paul instructs us to 'take up the whole armor of God'. It's important to notice that it doesn't say 'God will dress you with the armor' it says take it up yourself.
Bible teacher Derek Price confronts us in this message that the spiritual armor of God, does not grow on us. God doesn't fit it on us, we have to take it up ourselves. Another thing that Derek points out, which is overlooked by many, is that the armor protects us from the crown of our head to the soles of our feet, but there is one place which is not protected: the back. If we turn our back, there is no protection.
Most people think that there are six spiritual weapons in Ephesians 6:13-18, but Derek Prince points out that there's a much less famous but not less important, seventh spiritual weapon, which is prayer. Derek Prince compares prayer to an intercontinental ballistic missile. It can reach any target anywhere if we set the computer right.
Derek Prince (June-01-2020) Bible Study: 1 Peter 5 - 'Be Clothed With Humility'.
Bible teacher Derek Prince explains the importance of humility and says in this context about fasting: 'We wouldn't dare to go ahead in the ministry that we're in, if we didn't practice regular fasting.'
1 Peter 5:5-6 talks about the importance of submissiveness and 'being clothed in humility.' Derek points out that Peter says here literally 'put on an apron of humility'. People in the time of the New Testament would put on an 'apron of humility' if they were slaves, as a sign of submissiveness to their masters. So when Peter tells us to 'put this apron (of humility) on', he actually says that humility is an attitude rather than a code of conduct.
As a very remarkable example of a way to humble ourselves, he talks about Ezra 8:21-23. Ezra put his trust for protection in God and he proclaimed a fast. One of the appointed ways to humble ourselves is by fasting. This is also found in Psalm 35:13.
Derek Prince makes it very simple. How can we be humble? By being humble and by proclaiming a fast.
Derek Prince (May-30-2020) Bible Study: An Essential Part In Our Preparation For Jesus' Return.
Bible teacher Derek Prince talks about an essential part of our preparation for the Return of Jesus, that is almost totally overlooked in the contemporary Church.
Hebrews 9:28 says that Jesus will appear a second time for those who 'eagerly wait for Him'. It's not just waiting, but 'eagerly waiting' for Jesus' Return.
1 Thessalonians 1:9-10 speaks about 'serving the living God'. Most of us realize that it is important to serve God and so we obey Him and His Word. But what this text also says is 'waiting for His Son from Heaven'. Not only are we called to serve God, but also to wait for His Son's Return.
Derek Prince (May-29-2020) Sermon: 2 Timothy 3:16 'All Scripture Is God Breathed!' - Preach The Word!
'Knowing and proclaiming the whole of God's Word is tremendously important.'
2 Timothy 3 describes the perilous times that are to come. Paul describes the root of all this evil as selfishness (love of self, love of money and love of pleasure). We all have to deal with this evil. The only thing that separates us from the world is being unselfishness.
Then at the end of the chapter it says that 'all scripture is given by inspiration' ('all scripture is God-breathed'). If we really believe this, we have to study God's Word thoroughly and also proclaim His Word (in season and out of season). We have to preach the whole of scripture and exhort, teach, rebuke and convince people, using the Bible. This is especially important for these times because Paul warns us that 'the time will come when they'll not endure sound doctrine'.
Derek Prince - Bible Study: Satan’s Primary Attack On The Church.
Matthew 12:25 says 'Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation.' Satan's primary attack on the Church is to divide us and thereby bring the Church of Christ to destruction.
Satan has been extremely successful in dividing the Body of Christ so far. Bible teacher Derek Prince encourages us to resist this division and to acknowledge true believers (people who are devoted to prayer, intercession, evangelism) as our brothers and sisters. Let's be sure to not let unnecessary barriers come between them and us. Let's guard against division and let the barriers melt.
Derek Prince (May-25-2020) Sermon: Where Is The Spiritual Battlefield?
Like any army, the kingdom of satan also has a supreme weapon. With this weapon he is - if we would allow him - able to defeat us on the battlefield. What is this primary weapon? And where is the battlefield?
In this talk, Bible teacher Derek Prince points out that satan's main weapon against us is guilt. With this weapon he can strike us with deadly blows. He accuses us day and night (Revelation 12:10) and makes us feel guilty about the sins which we've committed in the past. But Jesus has also equipped us with weapons. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 tells us that we do not fight satan with carnal weapons (bombs, tanks, rifles etc.) but we use spiritual weapons.
We use these weapons to pull down strongholds. But where are these strongholds situated? Where is this war fought out? The answer that Derek Prince gives us is: the mind. Our mind is the battlefield. In the mind we built up strongholds against the truth. When for example guilt builds a stronghold in our minds, we might believe that God will not forgive us. We might think that He has forsaken us. Other examples of strongholds that Derek gives are Islam and Judaism. If we allow these strongholds to be built in our minds, we will no longer accept Jesus as the Son of God.
So how do we bring down these strongholds? Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 that we not only have to release peoples thoughts from satan's captivity, but we also have to bring these thoughts into captivity and make it obedient to Christ.
Derek Prince (May-22-2020) Bible Study: Jesus' Total, Permanent, Final, Irreversible Defeat Over Satan.
Although we face enemies everyday and the battle in our minds sometimes seems to go on and on, it is very encouraging to know that Scripture tells us that Jesus has already administered a final defeat to satan.
In this Bible study, Bible teacher Derek Prince pinpoints some statements from Colossians 2:13-15. Jesus has triumphed over the principalities (demonic entities). Derek Prince explains the Roman use of the word 'triumph' and he points out that is not merely a victory, but triumph. Triumph, in this regard, should be seen as a celebration of the victory that has already been won.
As a Victor, a Triumph, Jesus Christ did two things for us: 1) He freed us form guilt. In regard to the past he made it possible for us to be forgiven of all our sins. 2) He abolished the law of Moses, as the means to achieve righteousness with God.
So through Jesus' Victory, we are free from guilt, free from sin, we’re made righteous, we're justified - not by keeping the law - but by faith. This encourages us to hold fast and boldly face the enemies we encounter everyday. We are also encouraged by the fact no principality or whatsoever, can separate us from the love of God. We are more than conquerors, through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37).
Derek Prince (May-20-2020) Bible Study: Listen To This If You'd Like To Be Involved In Ministry. Prophets, apostles and almost everyone who served God in the Bible was tested by Him. Bible teacher Derek Prince calls the agony and the persecution that followed them, a job description of their ministry. If you would like to serve God in the ministry: are you ready to get your faith tested? It's tough to work in the ministry. It is something we should take very seriously.
Derek Prince (May-19-2020) Bible Study: Are You Ready To Get Your Faith Tested?
Every test a christian goes through is ultimately a test of faith.
Counter intuitive, we should not be surprised when we encounter all sorts of trials. According to James in his letter, we should 'Count it all joy when we fall into various trials.' Why does James says that? Because these trials will produce endurance. So trials in your life can be seen as a test of our faith. What's the purpose of this testing? The purpose is making you ready for the coming of the Day of God.
Bible teacher Derek Prince explains this all very vividly, by taking a closer look to the words 'patience', 'perseverance' and 'endurance'. How are these words involved in preparation on the coming of the Lord? Furthermore Derek uses examples of God's servants from Scripture and also examples from his own ministry.
Are you ready for God's test?
Derek Prince (May-18-2020) Sermon: Overcoming Evil Is A Lifestyle.
'All the promises in Revelation are only for those who overcome. We either overcome evil by good or we are overcome by evil.'
In the previous videos, Bible teacher Derek Prince defined the main enemies we face: satanic powers, occultism, spirits of antichrist etc. In this video Derek Prince tells us how we can overcome evil. He focuses on 'endurance' and 'overcoming' as a means to be victorious against the enemies we daily face. He points out that all the positive promises in the Bible - again and again - are only for those who overcome. There are no positive promises for the defeated.
Derek Prince is pointing this out by taking a closer look at Revelation 21:7, a verse that tells us that the overcomer gets anything. That means that the one who does not overcome gets nothing. It's one way or the other. However, the devil tries to convince us that there is a middle ground between these two. But the Bible tells us there isn't. We can either overcome or be overcome.
Overcoming is not a doctrine. It is a life. Let's make overcoming evil a lifestyle.
Derek Prince (May-15-2020) Sermon: The Church's Victory. This is the full video of Bible teacher Derek Prince' sermon 'The Church's Victory'. In this Bible study Derek Prince answers questions like 'What does Jesus' victory means?', 'How we can be free of guilt?', 'How we can defend ourselves form the enemy's attack on our lives?' and many more. This video is the fourth part of a four part series called: 'The Enemies We Face.'
Derek Prince (May-14-2020) Testimony: Can A Pessimist Become An Optimist?
Bible teacher Derek Prince speaks honestly about his pessimistic upbringing and how that resulted in a depression during his life.
Derek Prince calls the depression that tormented him for years a 'spirit of heaviness'. When he called on the name of the Lord he was delivered from this demon. But he had to change the way he thought and had to daily proclaim positive Scriptures to fight this pessimistic attitude.
Derek Prince - Bible Study: Purchase Your Salvation With Endurance.
'He who has endured to the end shall be saved.' (Matthew 24:13)
You might count yourself saved, but in order to stay saved you have to endure to the end. In other words, there is a certain 'price' you have to pay for your salvation. We don't buy our salvation with money but with endurance.
Just like the wise and foolish virgins had to buy oil, we have to buy the Holy Spirit with prayer and studying the Word of God. Our lamps need to be always filled.
Derek Prince - Bible Study: Multitudes Of Christians Are Asleep.
As Christians we need to be aligned with God's purpose (the coming of His Kingdom). That means we need to come into action. We can't afford to be sleeping on the job.
The prophet Jonah was disobedient to God's calling on his life. He turned his back on God and he didn't align with God's purpose for Nineveh. Eventually he was sleeping in the ship, escaping his duties, sailing in the opposite direction.
Bible teacher Derek Prince points out that there are a lot of Jonah's in the world today. People who know perfectly well, that God has called them. However, they're fast asleep in their boats. Are you one of them?
Jesus teaches us to seek first the Kingdom of God. The world is in turmoil, just like the sea in the story of Jonah. Man can't solve this storm by himself. We would like to build our own kingdom to solve these problems. But that's useless. We need to be alined with God's purposes, seek His Kingdom first. But how do we seek this Kingdom? And how can we commit to this Kingdom of God? Derek happend to be a teacher and his teaching reached practically every nation on earth. That's the practical outworking in his life. You are called by God to do something else, but are you alined to that purpose, that calling on your life right now?
Are you aligned with God's purpose or are you fast asleep in the boat?
Derek Prince (May-08-2020) Sermon: Are You Delaying Jesus' Coming?
'You may believe in the doctrine of the Second Coming, but I want to look for the evidence in your life.'
Bible teacher Derek Prince speaks about the the second requirement in 2 Peter 3:11-12: 'hastening the day of God's coming'. He explains to us that we can hasten Jesus' Second Coming by doing two important things: 1) proclaiming the Gospel to all nations and 2) purifying ourselves. However, if we don't do these things we might delay His Coming.
In Matthew 24:14 Jesus tells us that His Second Coming will come to be when the Gospel of The Kingdom is proclaimed to all nations. We are responsible for proclaiming this Gospel to the world. That means we can hasten God's Coming by proclaiming this message, but it also means that we can delay His coming by being disobedient to Jesus' Great Commission.
The New Testament compares the Church to a bride who has to make herself ready for her groom. This means we need to purify ourselves and be obedient to Scripture. Our Groom made us righteous by dying for us (His bride). Now we need to translate this 'imputed righteousness' into 'outworked righteousness.' One of the ways to do this is by denying ungodliness (Titus 2: 11-13).
Derek Prince (May-06-2020) Bible Study: Are You Living A Life Of Holiness?
Jesus said: 'blessed are the pure in heart.' We might ask ourselves today: are we keeping our hearts pure? Are we taking these words of our Lord seriously?
In this sermon Bible teacher Derek Prince emphasizes the importance of a clean heart. This is (among other Scriptures) drawn from 2 Peter 3:11-12, where the apostle explains what kind of persons we ought to be, by stating three practical elements. The first one is: holy conduct and godliness. Derek Prince challenges us to question ourselves whether we're keeping ourselves from unclean things like filthy language, unclean movies and occult influences (like horoscopes).
By reading 2 Corinthians 6:17-7:1 Derek Prince underscores Paul's statement to 'do not touch what is unclean.' It tells us not to get exposed to things that will defile us. We are responsible to do this ourselves. This is not something God will do for us. This is something He tells us to do for ourselves.
Today, almost thirty years after this sermon, we might ask ourselves: How is our mental attitude? In this age of so many easily accessible videos, series and movies: what are the things we looking at? Are the Netflix series we watch pleasing to God? And who do we associate with? Are the friends we hang out with defiling our hearts with filthy language? Are we letting ourselves be influenced by occult sources?
Derek Prince (May-02-2020) Sermon: God's 3 Charges Against Humanity. Bible teacher Derek Prince, tells us about Gods charges against us as humanity. Why does God have to judge the world? Derek Prince derives, from a Bible study of Isaiah, three reasons for God's judgment: We've transgressed the law, broken the ordinances and broken the everlasting Covenant. What are God's ordinances? And what will be God's response? It turns out, even the Lamb will get angry...

Derek Prince (April-23-2020) Sermon: Do You Believe In The Judgment Of God? Do you believe in the judgment of God? Bible teacher Derek Prince, tells us in this first part of the eight part series (God Will Shake The Nations), about the strange development in churches today. Christians tend to talk more about God as a loving Father than God as a righteous Judge. All over the New Testament God is presented as Judge, but churches today tend to avoid this important theme. However, the Bible depicts Jesus also as Judge. There will be judgement and judgement day will come.
Derek Prince - Sermon: The Disasters That Are About To Come Over The Earth. In this Bible study video Bible teacher Derek Prince tells about material structures that are going to be shaken, according to the prophet Isiah. What things will happen in the end times? Will tall buildings fall? Will there be earthquakes? What did Jesus say on Mount Olive in Matthew 24? Why will these things be shaken? Because God wants to demonstrate that His Kingdom cannot be shaken. Where is your kingdom?
Derek Prince (April-17-2020) Sermon: God Says: I Will Shake The Nations.
In the times that the Bible describes as the end times or the last days, there will be a season in which God will shake everything that can be shaken. Nations will be shaken. Buildings will be shaken. Monetary systems will be shaken.
In this sermon, Bible teacher Derek Prince aks the questions: what is the purpose of these things? The purpose is that the world will see that the only thing that really remains steadfast, is the Kingdom of God.
Has the predicted final shaking of all things already begun? Is covid 19 and the recent coronavirus outbreak being used by God as an instrument to shake all things? If so, you need to know how you can come through victoriously.
This is part 1 of a 2 part Bible teaching series on Hebrews 12:25-27:
See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. (NKJV)
