Derek Prince - Watch Sermon: How Did The Wise Man Built His House Upon The Rock?

The wise man built his house upon the rock. How can we build on the foundation like the wise man in Jesus' famous parabel about the wise and foolish man, who both build their houses on different kind of fundaments?

How does the wise man in Matthew 7:24 build on the rock? By hearing and doing.
In the similar story according to the Gospel of Luke (Luke 6:46-49) there is an important addition, the wise man had to dig deep before he could lay the foundation on the rock.

This 'digging deep' represents five things Bible teacher Derek Prince tells us to remove these five things out of our lives in order to build on the Rock:

1. Traditions,
2. Prejudices (racial (for instance the racism in America), denominational, social and personal prejudices),
3. Preconception,
4. Unbelief,
5. Rebellion.

Derek Prince (1915 - 2003) was born in India of British parents. Educated as a scholar of Greek and Latin at Eton College and Cambridge University, England, he held a Fellowship in Ancient and Modern Philosophy at King’s College. He also studied several modern languages, including Hebrew and Aramaic, at Cambridge University and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. These conclusions altered the whole course of his life, which he then devoted to studying and teaching the Bible. Derek's main gift of explaining the Bible and its teaching in a clear and simple way has helped build a foundation of faith in millions…
