Daily Devotional (August-10-2025) BECOME AN EFFECTIVE SOUL WINNER
2 Corinthians 4:3-4 - "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."_
The Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is made known to everyone, it is not hidden from anyone. It is God's desire to make known this glorious Gospel to everyone. It is not the doings of God to hide it from someone; the Bible reveals that: _"But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost"_ Meaning it is not God's idea of hidding any truth from man but it appears that a force is contributing to the Gospel hidden to the lost. Why are people wicked and this world have become such a dangerous place to live? Is because the Gospel of light is hidden to many.
This is actually the state of those who are not born again. The Bible says such people have their minds blinded. This means the god of this world has darken their minds (their mental perception), and their reasoning state have been taken over. Anyone who is not born again is under control of a force. No wonder they behave the way to do; they are not in their right mind of thinking. My dear this is one of the reasons why God told us to pray for all men. _"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions..., be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority..." (1Timothy1:1-2)
The Lord is asking us to pray because there is a force of this world at work in the minds and in controlling the lives of men. Without the preaching of the Gospel many are left in total darkness under the direct control of spirits. These are the same men who assume political authority and leadership and will then bring out policies that doesn't express love but rather it expresses selfishness and wickedness. That is where we come in my dear, God has instructed us to pray so that the glorious Gospel will shine onto them.
Many bad things are happening in our societies because the Gospel of light is hidden from many and that they are being controlled. This is why we need to make a decision to become an effective soul winner where ever we find ourselves. God has entrusted our societies and specifically the world under our watch. We have a responsibility my precious one.
Prayer: Dear Father, thank you for the glorious Gospel of Christ which brings enlightenment to our world and shine onto men. I pray that your Gospel will shine in the heart of many around the world today in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
