Daily Devotional (January-21-2021) Friendship of the World
James 4:1-7 - “4. 1. From whence come wars and fighting among you? Come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? 2. Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. 3. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. 4. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. 5. Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, the spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? 6. But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. 7. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
Why have we ask for so many things from God and yet fail to even receive an answer from God? The world has become in a way that almost everyone on it wants to fulfill his or her stupid desire. Nobody thinks of the will of God in his or her life but only thinks about the will of themselves. What do we see today, young people and all they want in their lives is money. Money is always their focus and nothing else. And they kill, steal, and cause troubles all be of their stupid desires. Why should God answer your prayer when you seek to destroy others? We have made ourselves worldly people by fornicate, steal, and kill around thinking it is normal. Beloved, why do we have to do all these ungodly things?
I am here to tell you that, you have being given a greater life than that of the life of this world. A life that Jesus Christ is your Lord. Greater than man can ever imagine and spirits will ever conquer. Today's word is saying that, the friendship of this world is enmity to God but the spirit of God gives grace and abundance of grace. Seek God and all your prayers will be answered in Jesus name.
No amount of ungodly things you do will ever prosper you like what the salvation of Jesus Christ has done in your life. Move away from the things of this world because it will only add you pain and sorrows. Do away with all your evil desires and make Jesus Christ your focus. Focusing and looking unto the throne of grace. From the throne is life and hope full of riches.
PRAYER: Father I am before your throne today in prayer and thanksgiving. According to the message of your grace, restored me, Heal me and Provide for me and grant me favor in thy sight. Separate me from this world and guide me on the perfect path. Amen
