Christian Daily Devotional (June-06-2023) His Love!

SCRIPTURE REFERENCE: Romans 5:8. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Love is the decision to magnify the good in others. It is choosing to amplify strengths and reduce flaws to the barest minimum.Let's go by this: Love is the decision to magnify the good in others.Remember that God didn't start loving us when we received Christ. Scripture tells us that even while we were sinners, He loved us.

Let's understand something. God is good and good is God. The only way a person can be good is if he is rooted in Good (God). This would mean that as at the time we were sinners, we had no good in us, because we were not in Him, but the Bible tells us that while we were yet sinners, He loved us. Remember our definition: love is the decision to magnify the good in others. We had no good in us, all we had in us were flaws and evil, so what exactly was God magnifying?

You must understand that the word of God is prophetic. God's love was calling forth the good in us! The same way He called forth light out of pitch darkness! . God loved the good in us even before we had the chance of being good! This would mean that right from time, God had already wanted us to be good and He had always seen us as good.

Prophecy is foretelling for forth telling. It is also saying what you want to see. In loving us, God was already declaring that we were good! He was calling out the good in us by loving us! Hallelujah ! Glory to God! God's love is prophecy in itself! When God was looking at us, He wasn't seeing us as we were, He was seeing us as what we would end up as! That God loves us is an attestation to the good in us. That God loves us means that we are good enough for Him. The next time the devil tries to condemn you or make you feel worthless, remind him that He is irredeemable and therefore has no chance whatsoever of being good. He is bound to be evil. Boldly remind him of who you are in Christ Jesus.

AFFIRMATION: God calls me good, therefore I am good. God dwells in me, therefore Good dwells in me. Because God loves me and amplifies the good in me, I cannot but be good. I walk in the consciousness of this reality. Glory!
