Daily Devotional (November-23-2022) IT'S YOUR RIGHT IN CHRIST TO PROSPER
Scripture Reference: 2 Corinthians 8:9 - "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich"
One of the truth about Christianity is that, the moment you gave your life to Christ you inherited prosperity whether you know it or not. You are designed in Christ to prosper and to succeed in anything you find yourself doing. Our above verse is one of the anchor scriptures that speaks about you. It's your God-ordained right in Christ.
2 Corinthians 8:9 is your guarantee of a life of supernatural aboundance. The Christian is not the poor trying to be rich, but the rich discovering his inestimable inheritance in Christ. There're Christians who don't believe in prosperity, but what we read in the Scripture above reveals that it's God's will for you to prosper. 3 John 1:2 says, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
Not does God want you healthy and strong, but He wants you to prosper financially. My dear, you are Abraham's seed. The Bible says Abraham was blessed in all things (Genesis 24:1); he was very rich in cattle, silver, and gold (Genesis 13:2). As the seed of
Abraham, you also have been blessed and enriched in all things unto all bountifulness: "And if you are Christ's then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise" (Galatians 3:29).
You're an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ; therefore, learn to talk big. Refuse to talk poverty. When you talk big, and things starts happening or changing for you, some people-especially the religious folks around you-will grumble and raise eyebrows. Don't be moved by that. Just keep talking your way to abundance, and keep enjoying your prosperity in God.
It's your God-ordained right in Christ Jesus, so don't let anyone deceive you. Refuse to be broke or dry! Make it your daily confession as you live in the light of God's Word.
Another thing is that rejoice when you see your fellow sister or brother prospering whether in health or financially, be happy and rejoice with him or her, for that's the life to which we have been called as God's children.
PRAYER - Thank you for choosing me for the life of prosperity and abundance. I refuse to walk and talk poverty and defeat but I choose to talk prosperity and happiness because the Lord is my shepherd I lack nothing. In Jesus Name. Amen!
