Daily Devotional (January-21-2024) THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION - Pt. 1.
Scripture Reference:Â "Blessed [Spiritually calm with Life-Joy in God's Favour] are the Makers and Maintainers of Peace, for they will [express His Character and] be called the sons of God." Matthew 5:9.
There are Two Major Purposes for which the Lord God Almighty created mankind as recorded in the Book of Genesis. The first was for Relationships while the second was for the exercise of Dominion (Ps. 8:4-6). Every single Christian believer has been entrusted with a Divine Mandate to restore the fallen man to his Original Position in Christ, which God had in mind during Creation (Gen. 1:26-28). The onus, therefore, lies upon all of us as Christian believers to restore the Image of God Almighty, which was distorted by satan as a result of the Fall in the Garden of Eden (Gen. 3)..This can be accomplished much faster by catching a Revelation of the Ministry of Reconciliation.
The Lord Jesus Christ is referred to in the Holy Scriptures as the "Prince of Peace" (Isa. 9:6b). In other words, every Christian believer has been given a Divine Responsibility as far as the issue of suing for Peace is concerned. We must all endeavour to become proficient or skilled in the promotion of Peace and in the Art of Conflict Resolution. It is extremely tragic to know that many so-called believers claim to have a flawless Relationship with the Lord yet they are extremely hostile towards the unsaved and sanctimonious in their general outlook. According to the Gospels, the Lord Jesus referred to Himself as "a Friend of tax collectors and sinners" (Lk. 7:34). Always remember that the Art of Conflict Resolution requires the Reconciler to consciously develop a healthy two-way relationship with both conflicting parties. This should be the greatest anyone can have when it comes to resolving conflicts, especially that which exists between God and mankind.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, we thank You for granting us the privilege of being Instruments of Peace in Your Hands. O Lord, please enable us to become effective Agents of Reconciliation in Jesus' Mighty Name. Amen.
