Miracle at the Pool | John 5 - Gary Hamrick Sermon

Updated February 23 2025 In Gary Hamrick

Watch Gary Hamrick Sermon: Miracle at the Pool | John 5.

In John 5 there was a “great multitude” of sick, lame, and paralyzed people lying around a pool in Jerusalem hoping for a miracle.  One man was there who was an invalid for 38 years.  Jesus was directed by the Father to heal that one man among the many who were sick.  Why did He only heal that one person?  And what must have all the others thought when they were stepped over for their miracle?  Pastor Gary shares two perspectives on this story—one from the angle of what ministry is supposed to really look like, and one from the human angle of what it must have felt like to be stepped over for a miracle.

You hit it right on the nail for people to understand God they need to be in His word everyday praying and talking to him because that is what makes our faith strong in the lord when He brings something along in our lives that is very dramatic to trust Him, believe that He will take care of the problem, and to turn it over to Him completely. To ask Him to take care of it completly like he said He would. There are many trials and temptations that come our way but while we are being tested we must remain vigilant and strong in His word prayer faith trusting Him that He will eventually take care of all of it. I am gald He is there always. Thank you for your message. I also agree people need to be careful as to what they say to others that are suffering in the time of their need and step back let God do the work we pray for them with loving arms wrapped around them.
