God, Marriage & Divorce - Part 2 // 1 Corinthians 7:1-9 - Jack Hibbs

Updated November 27 2024 In Jack Hibbs

Jack Hibbs - God, Marriage & Divorce - Part 2 // 1 Corinthians 7:1-9. What was happening in Corinth is very much like what is happening in our country today. Many Corinthian believers were conceding to a "let's live it up" philosophy, instead of making themselves available to spread the Word of Truth. Rather than giving themselves to the Spirit of God to be used in ways that would plant seeds of righteousness, love and truth in areas where people were hurting and suffering, they were giving way to the idea, "Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!" In addition they were keeping company with others who thought and lived the same way. Paul reminded them. "Bad company ruins good morals." He then exhorted them. "Come back to your senses...and stop sinning..."

Thank you for the faithful word of God. I'm married to a man going on 45 yrs. He professes to be a believer but as the years go on he's abandoned me emotionally, physically and often uses verbal abuse in an attempt to hold me responsible for his abandoning me in these areas. I love the Lord and have cried out for years. Please pray for my strength physically, emotionally, and spiritually. As the years pass it's having it's toll. Let God be praised and may His interventions continue to uphold me. Thank you!

Dear Pastor Jack, your messages are helping me get through and hang on in these bad times here.My husband(Ken Cutler) passed away March 23,2022. He was a former Marine Mp. 2 legs amputated. He had many health issues. He was 7ft tall 450 pounds. a former fireman, bouncer, security. He was never violent to me.My first husband, donny, was violent many times.married 20+ years.I sorta put up with his meanness but last straw was when he punched our tbi son (Milan) in the head. (now in a wheelchair can't walk)I tried to find doctors and help to get son better or healed besides his depression, for 5+ years. He was in a car wreck with his friend that ran a stop sign.just turned 18.Had a possible scholarship to play basketball in Alabama.btw husband was a deacon of a Baptist Church. I snapped.Anything I thought was good in him went black. I had to leave so son would get help and also protected from and kept away from his dad. This a long note here but it helped release some of the anger&sadness of my (Ken)Marine husband's death and my mean ex Donny McCorquodale . I try to see your Sunday services on here when it is live or watch later. You are a real blessing!!
