Jentezen Franklin Daily Devotional (November 11, 2024) Be A Dreamer.

“‘Here comes that dreamer!’ they said to each other.” Genesis 37:19

The world we live in today was created by dreamers. The Wright brothers had a dream, and today, we have aviation that allows us to travel around the world with ease. Thomas Edison had a dream to harness electricity, and today, we have lights and power in our homes. Alexander Graham Bell had a dream to communicate, and now we have telephones and can speak to anyone in the world at any time!

Throughout time, God has always been the giver of dreams. Successful people are people who dream. If you talk to any successful person about their life, they will usually start with “I had a dream” or “I had a goal.” It is often our vision or our mission that carries us through the difficulties and hard times. Tragically, the world we live in is filled with mundane people. Most people only see what is right in front of them. Many will never see beyond themselves to what they could become.

The poorest man is not the man who has no money but the man who has no dreams. Helen Keller, who was born blind and deaf, was once asked, “Is there anything worse than being born blind?” She replied, “Yes, to have sight, but have no vision for your life.”
