Jentezen Franklin Daily Devotional June 9, 2025 - God’s Tiny Details.
“You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.” Psalms 139:2
God wants to astound you with answered prayers and huge, life-changing blessings. But He also wants you to marvel at His great love for you in the tiny things. God wants you to know He cares about even the small details of your life. Right in the middle of transforming the world by saving billions of souls, Jesus put it all on pause to talk to his mother. He wanted her to know that she would be taken care of when He left the earth.
Joseph, Jesus’ father, is often seen as just a small background character, but God noticed his unusual faithfulness in supporting the mother of Jesus. Joseph had to trust God that the Holy Spirit conceived the baby Mary carried. Any time there was danger, God spoke to Joseph on what to do and where to take the family. God noticed every single small sacrifice that he had to make in order to accomplish His will. So God blessed Joseph with mighty children of his own because he was obedient to His call and became the father to James, the founder of the church!
God cares about every detail of your life. Psalm 139:2-5 says, “You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue, you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.”
Have you ever experienced an unexpected small act of kindness, and you just knew that it was God showing you His love? God works in the small details to show you how much He is involved in your life. He wants you to know that He cares not only about the big things but every small detail of your life is important to Him.
