Dear Dr Savelle, I was enthralled by your teaching on Psalm77:13.
Today in the last ten years, I have been set back by physical disorder involving my neck.v.11. I will remember the works of the Lord, surely I will remember your wonders of old.12 I will also meditate on all your work NKJV. That is me.
I was born low weight in a non clinical setting on 22/06/1964. According to my mother I was so tiny that no one except my mother was able to handle me.
In those days an infant eats the same meals as adult, no medical care except crude juice from random herbs, by untrained birth attendant. My parents or anyone in my village didn't know God or heard about Jesus Christ and Calvary. Idolatory and traditional worship of woods and stones were common practice. Yet God sustained and preserved my life. Three years later, war broke out we became refugees in strange communities without money, food or provisions.
I experienced my first pains of death when my sister who was born on 17/10/1967 was carried out of the room amidst wailings from my mother and other siblings. I got so ravaged by malnutrition that people would tell my mother to discard me while still alive, because they did not see any prospects of my surviving, but my mother refused. She knew no God to pray to, she had no hope in any supernatural being, but God kept me though I was skin and bones. In 1970 30 months after the war, we got to our village without a home or shelter because most buildings were mud and thatch which literally crumbled due to weather and pest infestation. But Jesus whom I did not know or heard of kept me alive until I was taken by my mother now late to a rehabilitation center by British Red Cross.
That was how God revived me and restored health and humanity to my skeletal frame. I have always seen this as His wonderful work of love and mercy on me.
I gave my life to Jesus in 1981 while in secondary school. My life as a Christian wasn't perfect, I failed God severally, until I learnt that I can't please God by my efforts. When I resigned to God for guidance and strength to resist temptations,,I found peace.
I grew up to become a nurse, got married in 2000, got one male child and retired in April 2021.
My retirement was when I looked forward to spending more time in service to God. I was ordained as Elder in my local church in 2014. God miraculously help me open a branch of our church for students in the area I had lived more than 20years.
I trust that God will heal one day and I am not ashamed to ask for prayers from Christian leaders like you.
God is my only hope. My gratuity is not paid, and not even enough to fund my flight to Hitech Hospital in a foreign country.
    Thank you,
    Iboro
