Joel Osteen Ministries
Joel Osteen is a preacher who gives inspiration!
And that’s true, he is positive, his sermons are positive, his ministry is positive. The parishioners of his church are very successful people, as a result! How does he inspire millions of people around the world? Let's find out!
Joel Austen began preaching in 1999, but his ministry began long before: in 1982, Osteen, left his studies, returned from Houston and invited his father to create a television ministry in LakeWood Church. He became the leader and inspirer of this ministry.
Father preached, the son made video reports that everyone would like. Joel helped his father in organizing the ministry:
- he prepared his father for the scene;
- picked up suit and tie;
- worked with lighting and video equipment in the hall, for best results.
He became the best assistant for his father, but throughout this time he did not preach - not one word from the scene - it's just impossible to believe now! The person who is considered as the most popular preacher in the world never preached until 1999! It's an incredible fact for me. Joel Osteen explains this: "I was very shy, and did not imagine myself as a preacher on this scene. I was completely satisfied with my work. " But John Osteen (Joel's father) was very persistent, he asked his son to start preaching again and again, but the son always politely refused. But once Joel agreed to his father’s persuasions. On the birthday of John, they talked on the phone and the father once again invited his son to preach. He again refused, and after the conversation, he felt something unusual in his chest and heard a voice: "Joel - you should do it." After that he called his father and announced his decision. The family was amazed, and Joel, as he said, had the worst 7 days in his life. He decided to try once to convince his father and himself that it was not his occupation. But it did not work out that way. A few days later, the father went to the hospital and the first preaching of his son, with pride and tears in his eyes, he heard on the phone. In a few days more he passed away. Joel experienced a great shock, but he felt that he must go on stage and continue his father's ministry. And he did it. Joel Osteen's first sermons were similar in style to his father's sermon, but after a while he decided that his sermons should become as accessible and understandable to everyone as possible. He wanted his preaching not to be abstruse, perhaps that's why you can’t see lots of biblical characters in them, but there is many simple theses. So, in the beginning of 1999, Osteen became the chief pastor of the LakeWood church. At that moment, the church had about 6,000 parishioners, but due to the simplicity and positive attitude of Joel's sermons, the number of parishioners increased to over 40,000. And they decided to purchase a new spacious room for service. The new building for the church was Compaq Center. Now his ministry gathers up to 30,000 people every week in the church and hundreds of thousands behind TV screens around the world. Just imagine: hundreds of thousands of spectators! But as Joel Osteen's popularity grew, so did criticism about him. Many modern preachers criticize Osteen for the ministry in which well-being is placed first. Also Joel deliberately does not use such words as sin, devil, hell while he preaches. And as if in contrast to this often sound the theme of prosperity, both financial and family in his sermons. The preacher himself comments on the criticism as follows: "I almost never see or hear criticism, I do not read blogs and comments. Everyone I talk to, say that my sermons changed their lives. It is very important for me!" Joel says that while preaching about prosperity he does not mean money as such, prosperity. In his understanding success is in all endeavors: in work, family, in the upbringing of children and in many other things. A characteristic feature of his services is the fact that he does not call for donating any finances to the church or to him directly. He is not a paid pastor in the church, the main source of earnings is royalties from the sales of his books. Joel Osteen, not just the world-famous preacher, he is also the author of several bestsellers. They inspire people no less sermons, that’s why their sales are very large. From all the above, you could conclude that the main parishioners of the Church of Osteen are very rich people, but this is not so: you can see very influential people, members of the government in very expensive suits and ordinary people in trampled shoes on his services. This is explained by the availability and simplicity of the ministry and preaching of the pastor. As we wrote, Joel Osteen's style is simplicity and accessibility for all, a minimum of criticism and a positive message in the life of the listener. Joel Osteen (August-03-2020) Watch Sermon: One More Time. We all make mistakes! The good news is that God has grace and mercy lined up for every mistake. A lot of times, we believe God forgives us, we know He's merciful, but we don't think He would bless us, not after what we've done. In this powerful message, Joel will reveal some liberating scriptures about God's grace for us all. He will show you many men and women from the Bible who made mistakes, yet they still dared to ask God for His help and His hand of favor. You will be reminded of the grace that is available when you ask for it. No matter what you've been through it's time to come boldly before God, receive His grace, and walk in His abundant blessings again!
Joel Osteen (August-03-2020) Daily Devotion: Get the Right Image.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:5, NIV
TODAY'S WORD: God is not keeping a record of all your faults. Sometimes we think He’s in heaven, watching to catch us. “I saw that failure. Let me write that down. I heard that comment. Gabriel, put a star by that one—that was really bad. I’ll have to withhold My goodness.” No, God is not a faultfinder. He’s not an accuser. He doesn’t go around saying, “You knew better and still failed, so you’re on your own.” God is not waiting for you to perform perfectly and then He’s going to show you His goodness. He is full of mercy. He’ll show you favor that you don’t deserve.
When you have the right image of God, you know that He’s for you, that He’s not basing His goodness toward you on your performance but on His grace alone. Then all the guilt and the condemnation have to go. God will give you the power to overcome anything that’s holding you back.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that You are not a faultfinder, but You are full of mercy. Thank You that You are not waiting for me to perform perfectly and then You’ll show me Your love and goodness. I believe that You will empower me to become all You created me to be. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (August-02-2020) Watch Sermon: Know Who You Are. It's easy to go through life thinking that we're average and ordinary. You might be thinking, "I'm just one of the seven billion people on earth, nothing special about me." But Joel wants to remind you when God created you, He put a part of Himself in you. That means you have the DNA of Almighty God. You are destined to do great things, destined to accomplish dreams, destined to leave your mark on this generation. Too often we don't realize who we are. We focus on our weaknesses, what we don't have, the family we come from or the mistakes we've made, and we end up settling for mediocrity when we were created for greatness. Let this message inspire you to break out of average. You have the DNA of Almighty God. You come from a bloodline of champions. Greatness is in your genes.
Joel Osteen (August-02-2020) Daily Devotion: Keep Hoping, Keep Believing.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would become the father of many nations. Romans 4:18, NLT
TODAY'S WORD: When God gave Abraham a promise that he and his wife, Sarah, were going to have their “very own son” (see Genesis 15), she was seventy-five years old. It was impossible. It had never happened before. Abraham could have thought, I must have heard God wrong. But Scripture says that when all human reason for hope was gone, Abraham hoped on in faith, knowing that God is a supernatural God. Sarah was over ninety years old when she gave birth to a child. There were plenty of times when they were tempted to think, It’s never going to happen. We’re too old. If they would have believed those lies, they would have drifted into doubt and never seen the promise come to pass.
There may be many reasons why your situation will never work out. But you have to do as Abraham did—hope on in faith. What God promised you, He’s still going to bring to pass.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that because You are supernatural, I can hope on in faith even when I can find no other reason for hope. I trust that what I’m experiencing is going to work for my good. Thank You that what You promised me is going to come to pass. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (August-01-2020) Watch Sermon: Have an Abundant Mentality. It's time to make room for increase in your life! In this encouraging message, Joel will remind you of how much God wants to abundantly bless His children. Preaching from many powerful verses like Deuteronomy 28 that says, "God will lavish you with good things. He will throw open the doors of His sky vaults and pour out rain on your land. You will always be the top dog and never the bottom dog," you will be inspired like never before to have an abundance mentality. By letting go of limiting beliefs and thought patterns and applying scriptures and Godly principles, you will see your life change and experience true abundance in every area of your life. It's time for you to be healthy and fulfilled and have healthy relationships with more than enough resources to meet all of your needs!
Joel Osteen (August-01-2020) Daily Devotion: Grace for Today.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” Matthew 6:34, NLT
TODAY'S WORD: Are you trying to solve problems that haven’t happened? “What if I get laid off? What if this pain in my side is something serious?” Jesus said to not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have enough worries of its own. God gives you the grace for today. You don’t have grace for tomorrow. Don’t try to figure out the next five years, playing all the what-ifs. The what-ifs will make you depressed. The good news is that even if a what-if happens, God will give you the grace to handle it.
Sure, you should plan ahead and use common sense, but at some point you have to turn it over to God and say, “God, You give me grace for every season. Just as You clothe the lilies of the fields, You said You take care of me. So I’m going to rest in You.” Then the peace that passes all understanding will be waiting for you.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that just as You clothe the lilies of the fields, You will provide me with exactly what I need for every season I am in. I choose to rest, knowing that You are in control. I declare I will not worry because You supply all my needs. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-31-2020) Watch Sermon: You Have Hidden Treasure. When God laid out the plan for your life, He deposited in you the gifts, talents, and everything you need to fulfill your destiny. But many times, these gifts lay hidden deep down inside. In fact, many gifts lie under fear, doubt, disappointments, or what others have said over our lives. In this exciting message, Joel will show you how to unbury these gifts and step into greatness. You will be inspired to move past fear, limiting beliefs and pursue everything God has placed within you. When you step out in faith and release your gifts, God will mix His supernatural with your natural abilities, and you?ll see amazing things begin to happen.
Joel Osteen (July-31-2020) Daily Devotion: Remember What God Has Done.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: “You may say to yourselves, ‘These nations are stronger than we are. How can we drive them out?’ But do not be afraid of them; remember well what the LORD your God did to Pharaoh and to all Egypt.” Deuteronomy 7:17–18, NIV
TODAY'S WORD: The Israelites were headed toward the Promised Land, but they were up against nations with huge armies that were stronger and more skilled in warfare. The Israelites had just come out of slavery and were just trying to survive in the desert. They were very discouraged when Moses spoke these words to them: “Don’t be afraid. Just remember what God did to Pharaoh.”
If you’re going to overcome obstacles, if you’re going to reach your highest potential, you have to learn to remember. On a regular basis, we should go back over the major victories in our life. When you face tough times and your dream looks impossible, just remember. Go back and replay your victories. Relive the times God made a way. When you’re constantly thinking about how He’s protected you, vindicated you, and promoted you, not only will faith rise in your heart, but that attitude of expectancy will allow God to do great things in your future.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You for the strength that rises within me whenever I remember what You have done in my life. Thank You for the countless times You made a way when it seemed there was no way, and You opened doors that seemed closed. I will not be afraid. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-30-2020) Watch Sermon: You Cannot Be Defeated. What you're facing today may seem bigger, stronger or more powerful than you can handle, but don't be intimidated. The Creator of the universe has put His favor on your life, and you cannot be defeated! In this inspiring message, Joel will teach you how to tap into God's amazing favor in your life through expanding your faith and creating new thoughts. 1 Peter 1:13 says, "Hope to the end for the divine favor that is coming." You can have hope today! Favor is on the way. One touch of God's favor can turn any situation around.
Joel Osteen (July-30-2020) Daily Devotion: You Have a Defender.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone. He did not retaliate when he was insulted, nor threaten revenge when he suffered. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly. 1 Peter 2:22–23, NLT
TODAY'S WORD: When Jesus was on the earth, He went around doing good, healing the sick, lifting the fallen. He did nothing wrong, but He was misunderstood, criticized, belittled, ridiculed, and falsely accused. How did He respond to protect His reputation? Read today’s Scripture. He didn’t waste His time trying to prove to His critics that He was the Son of God. He just kept being His best, trusting His Father to settle His cases.
We all have people who come against us and make negative comments about us. We spend too much time worrying about what they think, trying to defend ourselves and prove to people who we are. Why don’t you put your reputation in God’s hands? He said He will defend you, and He will vindicate you far better than you can vindicate yourself. You don’t have to retaliate, get even, prove that you’re a nice person, or convince them to change their mind. God can do it better than you.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You for the example that Jesus showed in His response to insults and false accusations. Thank You that I don’t have to waste my time and energy trying to prove who I am or change what others think of me. You are my defender. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-29-2020) Watch Sermon: Living Favor-Minded. God wants to show you an abundant increase of favor, but if you're not releasing your faith, it will limit what He can do. That's why Joel wants to teach you in this empowering message how to develop a favor mentality. As you develop a favor mindset and affirm declarations over your life like, "God's favor gives me an advantage and is bringing success. God's favor is making my crooked places straight. I am at the right place at the right time, then you will see God's favor in your life like never before. You will see God show up and do amazing things, and He will take you higher than you thought possible!
Joel Osteen (July-29-2020) Daily Devotion: The King is Looking for You.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: “Don’t be afraid,” David said to him, “for I will surely show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan. I will restore to you all the land that belonged to your grandfather Saul, and you will always eat at my table.” 2 Samuel 9:7, NIV
TODAY'S WORD: Mephibosheth was the grandson of King Saul. His father was Jonathan, David’s best friend. But when Saul and Jonathan were killed in battle, and with the enemy coming to wipe out Saul’s family, young Mephibosheth was crippled in an accident. He ended up living in exile for many years in a poor, run-down city named Lo Debar, barely surviving, with no family and no way out. But one day King David remembered his friend Jonathan and discovered that Mephibosheth was alive. He sent soldiers to look for Mephibosheth, then brought him to the palace to live as royalty and restored his family’s land.
Perhaps you feel stuck in your own Lo Debar. The good news is, the King is looking for you. He wants to restore all that belongs to you as His child—the freedom, the joy, the peace, the victory, the abundance. He wants to pay you back for the unfair things that have happened. There is a seat for you at the King’s table.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You for loving me and looking for me because You want me to have all that belongs to me as Your child. Thank You that You found me and brought me to live with You in Your palace forever. I will gladly take my place at Your table. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-28-2020) Watch Sermon: You Can Handle It. We all go through challenges, disappointments, things that are not fair. It's easy to let that overwhelm us and think, "This is too much. I can't raise this child. I can't deal with this illness; this traffic is going to drive me crazy." In this inspiring message, you will be reminded that nothing that comes your way in life is too much for you. You don't have to get upset because things don't go your way. You have the power to stay calm. When you stay in faith, God will cause all things to work out for your good. Let this message give you the strength and spiritual tools to stay encouraged during life's trials. You'll be inspired by the accounts of others who've walked before you, who faced trials, stood in their faith and saw God bring them out greater than they could ever imagine.
Joel Osteen (July-28-2020) Daily Devotion: Use the Power of “But”.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: LORD, how they have increased who trouble me!... But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head. Psalm 3:1, 3, NKJV
TODAY'S WORD: In today’s Scripture, David was saying, “God, my enemies are multiplying.” He not only had other armies trying to stop him, but his own son Absalom was trying to take the kingdom from him. David could have thought, I can handle people from the outside trying to take me down, but now it’s my own son. I’m done. This could have been David’s end. But after David stated the hard facts, he took it one step further and said, “But You, O Lord, are my shield.” Notice that David added the “but.” “I’m having a lot of trouble, but the Lord is my shield.”
What’s the message? Don’t let the enemy have the last word. Always add the “but.” “The medical report doesn’t look good, but the Lord is my healer. “A coworker did me wrong, but God is fighting my battles.” “I went through a loss, but God has beauty for ashes.” Every time something negative happens, answer back with a “but.”
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You for being a shield about me, my glory and the lifter of my head. Thank You that the enemy doesn’t have the last word when something negative happens to me. I will use the power of “but” and see Your promises come to pass. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-27-2020) Watch Sermon: The Seventh Year. When we've struggled in an area for a long time, it's easy to think, "This is the way it's always going to be." But in this exciting message, Joel will show you that nothing in life is permanent. According to Deuteronomy 15 and the law God gave to Moses, Hebrew slaves were released on the seventh year. You will take a deeper look at this seventh year and what it means for today. The "seventh year" is when you break free from limitations that have held you back; debt, lack, sickness, insecurity, addictions, depression, constant struggle. God never intended His people to be a permanent slave to anything. You may be in debt today, struggling to make things work out; but get ready. It's time to be released from limitations and step into increase.
Joel Osteen (July-27-2020) Daily Devotion: Favor Connections.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: But Noah found favor with the LORD. Genesis 6:8, NLT
TODAY'S WORD: When the great flood covered the earth, Noah’s family was the only one that was saved. It was because Noah found favor with the Lord. It doesn’t say Noah’s sons had favor, but because they were connected to Noah, their lives were spared. The principle is, when you are connected with people who are favored, people who are further along, people who are more successful, then that favor will flow down to you. You’ll see increase and blessing because of your association.
The question is, are you connected to people who inspire you, challenge you, and make you strive to do better? Or, are you connected to people who are negative, drain your energy, and cause you to compromise? Eventually, you’re going to become like whoever you’re connected to. You need to disconnect from people who are hindering your growth and find some favor connections—people who are going places, who are at another level, who have what you dream about.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that You have already lined up these favor connections for me. Thank You for the people who are ordained to help me go further. Help me to disconnect from people who are hindering my growth and connect with people who are favored. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-26-2020) Watch Sermon: Loving Unconditionally. What would this world be like if we simply loved people instead of judging them? In this eye-opening message, Joel will inspire you to love like Jesus loved. Jesus said in John 13:35, "By this will all men know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." Notice, others are not going to know by how many times we come to church, or how many scriptures we quote, or even how many miracles that take place. The way others will know is by our love for other people. Anybody can love people that are just like them. But how about loving people you don't agree with, people you don't understand, people that are not like you? God is counting on you to make a difference in the world, and it all begins with your love toward all people. Let this message encourage you to come up higher in your love for others.
Joel Osteen (July-26-2020) Daily Devotion: The Secret Place.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1, NKJV
TODAY'S WORD: Every one of us should have a secret place in our relationship with God, an inner sanctuary where you don’t allow everything in. You guard your secret place against any worry, offense, bitterness, or trouble that may be happening on the outside. You don’t let that into the inner sanctuary of your heart. Your secret place should be a place of hope, of peace, of rest, of faith.
If you’re allowing everything into your secret place—what they said, what didn’t work out, the stress, the traffic, the hurt—it will become contaminated. It will affect your attitude, your relationships, your vision, and you’ll live feeling frustrated, upset, and worried. Quit giving negative things so much attention, reliving the hurt, thinking about the offense, dwelling on the disappointment. Don’t bring that close to your heart. It doesn’t belong in your secret place. The good news is, you control that door. You can’t stop the storm around you, but you can stop the storm from getting in you.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that there is a secret place in my heart where You dwell and where I can abide in peace. Help me guard against all the negative things that try to get in. I can’t stop the storms around me, but I will stop the storms from getting in me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-25-2020) Watch Sermon: Serve One Another. Jesus taught us in scripture that if we want to be great in life, we have to serve other people. (Mark 10:43) In this encouraging message, Joel reminds us of the very wisdom Jesus taught. Many people are not happy in life because they're only focused on themselves; their dreams, their goals or their problems. But this type of living is very limiting. We were created to give and live outward. God has put people in your life on purpose so you can be a blessing to them. Every morning, we should ask, "God, what is my assignment today? Help me see the people You want me to be good to." Matthew 6:4 says, "Your Father, who sees what you give in secret, will reward you in the open." It's a promise. When you give of your time and bless others, God will bless you in return. You will live a more fulfilled life and have the satisfaction of making someone else's life better, too!
Joel Osteen (July-25-2020) Daily Devotion: Days of Trouble Are Temporary.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:13, NKJV
TODAY'S WORD: In life we all have days of trouble, days of opposition, days of darkness. But the same God who said there will be a day of trouble also said there will be a day when that trouble ends. You may be in difficulty right now. Be encouraged—it’s not permanent. God has set an expiration date to it. You’re in the middle now, but at the appointed time, the end will come. Don’t be overwhelmed by a sickness, or a legal problem, or a situation in your finances—each has an expiration date. It’s one of those days of trouble for which God has a day of deliverance, of healing, of breakthrough.
You can’t control everything that happens to you. Just take your stand in faith, be your best, and trust God to take care of the rest. God has you in the palms of His hands. Right now He’s working out His plan for your life. Don’t get discouraged by the process.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You for Your promise that You will work out Your plans for my life. Thank You that You have equipped me with armor to withstand the days of trouble. I believe that You have me in the palms of Your hands, and You will get me through. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Keep Casting Your Net - Joel Osteen Daily Devotion (July-24-2020). John 21:6 (NIV) He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.
Peter was an experienced fisherman and had been out in the boat all night. He had worked hard, used his best techniques, threw out the nets just where he thought the fish would be, again and again, hour after hour, but nothing. Early the next morning, a man shouted from the beach to throw the net on the right side of the boat. When they did, they caught so many fish they couldn’t haul the net in. Right then, Peter recognized that the man on the beach was Jesus.
Like Peter, you may have worked hard toward your dreams, done your best, used your expertise, exhausted yourself, and come up empty. But God knows where your fish are. God is saying, “Throw out your nets one more time.” The struggle, the disappointment, and the lack were only tests. Your fish are still there. If you’ll throw out your nets again, God is going to cause those stored up blessings to find you.
PRAYER FOR TODAY:
“Father, thank You that You are the God who spoke worlds into existence, and You know how to get the fish to my net. Thank You that the opportunities, the promotions, the breakthroughs are coming. I’m going to keep believing and casting my net. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-24-2020) Watch Sermon: Just Do It! Sometimes, God asks us to do things that don't make sense. It doesn't fit into our budget or line up with our schedule. Too often, we debate and analyze it. We look at it in the natural and end up making excuses, talking ourselves out of it, or thinking "that couldn't be God." But in this inspiring message, Joel will remind you of the importance of having a bold obedience. With every act of obedience, there is a blessing attached. When you have this bold obedience, you'll step into new levels of your destiny.
Joel Osteen (July-23-2020) Watch Sermon: Move Forward. It's easy to go through life looking in the rear view mirror focused on what didn't work out, who hurt us, the mistakes we've made, or those we have lost. In this uplifting message, Joel wants to give you the tools to move forward in confidence into your bright future God has in store. He will show you biblical principles on how to let go and quit reliving the past so that we can receive the new things God wants to do in our lives and move forward into His blessings and goodness. Remember, as long as you keep replaying your past, you will stay the same. But if you are ready to walk in the new blessings God has for you, it's time to move forward. And, it all begins with moving forward in your thoughts.
Joel Osteen (July-23-2020) Daily Devotion: Before You Let Go.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: I applied my heart to what I observed and learned a lesson from what I saw. Proverbs 24:32, NIV
TODAY'S WORD: When we make poor choices, get into a relationship that we knew would not be good, or get in over our head in our spending, there’s always pain that follows. We talk about how important it is to let go of the past, to let go of the divorce, the failure, the bad break, and that’s true. But before you let go of the negative event, remember the lesson you learned from the experience. You’re doing yourself a disservice if you go through a painful time and don’t come out with what you were supposed to gain. Don’t waste the pain and go through it again.
Are you bringing pain on yourself? Are you struggling with relationships that don’t last, perhaps because you keep saying everything you feel like saying? The pain will stop if you learn the lesson and zip it up. Be big enough to say, “Here’s where I missed it, but I’m not going to do it again.”
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that You are full of mercy, and You always give me the grace to get through the consequences of the mistakes I make. Thank You that there are lessons in the pain that are for my good. Help me to learn and remember. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-22-2020) Watch Sermon: Doing Business in Deep Waters. Whenever you do something great for God or do business in deep waters, so to speak, you will face attacks, challenges and people talking against you. Because of this, it's very easy to get discouraged and want to give up. That's why Joel wants to give you the tools to stay focused and encouraged so you can fulfill your God-given destiny. In this message, you will learn how to give your battles over to God and let Him fight for you. Instead of using your energy to try to make things right and answer every opposition, you will learn how to use your energy to seek God and focus on your God-given destiny.
Joel Osteen (July-22-2020) Daily Devotion: What God Marvels At.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.” Matthew 8:10, NIV
TODAY'S WORD: When a Roman officer came to Jesus and said, “One of my employees is very sick, but you don’t have to come to my house. Just speak the word, and I know he’ll be healed,” Jesus marveled at his faith. In Mark 6, it says that Jesus also marveled at the unbelief He was met with in His hometown. What’s interesting is that the people who doubted were the religious people. They were in the synagogue every week. The Roman officer wasn’t a religious person. He hadn’t been indoctrinated to think that it couldn’t happen. He simply believed that Jesus was the Son of God.
When God looks at you, what does He marvel at? Why don’t you come over into faith? You may think that you’re not religious enough, that God would never help you, but God is not looking for religion. He’s looking for people who simply believe in Him, for people who know that He can do the impossible.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You for being the God of miracles and that You’re still on the throne no matter what the doubters say. Help me to believe big, dream big, pray big, and think big. I want to be one of the ones who always believes that You can do the impossible. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-21-2020) Watch Sermon: You Have What You Need. Do you ever catch yourself thinking, "If I had more money, then I could accomplish my dreams?" Or, "If I had more talent or a better personality, then I could do something great?" It's easy to make excuses as to what you need or don't have, but in this eye-opening message, Joel wants to show you how God has given you exactly what you need right now for the season that you're in. Even when if feels like you don't have much, even if you feel ordinary, God can take the ordinary and breathe on it and transform it into the extraordinary. You will learn that as you trust God, you will never lack any good thing!

Joel Osteen (July-21-2020) Daily Devotion: He’s Not Limited by Seasons.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. John 5:4, KJV
TODAY'S WORD: There was a crippled man who had been lying by the pool of Bethesda for thirty-eight years. The people knew when it was the season for the angel to come. This man knew that was his window of opportunity to get well. One day Jesus came and said to him, “Do you want to get well?” I can imagine the man was confused. It wasn’t the right season for the angel to come. But Jesus said to the man, “Get up, pick up your bed, and walk.” Instantly the man was healed.
Don’t be surprised when God shows up and you aren’t expecting it. God likes to break the rules, so to speak, to do things that we can’t explain. You don’t see any way, the odds are against you. God doesn’t have to wait for the training, for the boss to like you, for the loan to go through, for the economy to improve. He controls the universe. He’s not limited by seasons.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that You’re not limited by seasons, by closed doors, by disappointments, or by my preconceived ideas of how You can work. Thank You that You do things out of the box that I’m not expecting. I’m looking for Your surprises. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Come Alive - Joel Osteen Daily Devotion (July-20-2020). TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: Then he said to me, “Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones: Behold I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live.” Ezekiel 37:4–5, ESV
The prophet Ezekiel saw a vision of a valley filled with bones. It was like a huge graveyard of bones from people who had died. Bones represent things in our life that look dead, situations that seem impossible and permanently unchanging. God said, “Prophesy to these dead bones.” Ezekiel started speaking to the bones, telling them to come alive. As he was speaking, the bones started rattling and coming together, morphing back into people. Finally, breath came into those bodies, and they stood up like “a vast army.”
You may have things in your life that seem dead—a relationship, a business, your health. All you can see is a valley of dry bones, so to speak. It’s not enough to just pray about it; you need to speak to it. Prophesy to those dead bones. Call in health. Call in abundance. Call in restoration. God will resurrect what looks dead. He’ll make things happen that you could never make happen.
PRAYER FOR TODAY:
“Father, thank You that I can speak to the things in my life that seem dead, and You will breathe life into them and bring resurrection. I believe that as I speak words of faith, You will make things happen that I could never make happen. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-20-2020) Watch Sermon: Stay in Peace. We all have opportunities to get upset, to be worried, stressed out, and offended. But there's a better way to live! In this message, Joel will teach you how to avoid letting your outside circumstances influence your inner peace and joy. Hebrews 4:3 says, "Those who have believed enter in to rest." When you know God is directing your steps and has you in the palm of His hand, you have a confidence about your future. You know that God will take care of your battles and bring you to where you're supposed to be. This includes taking care of situations involving people who have treated you unfairly or who've hurt you. Learn how to step off the rollercoaster of emotions where circumstances determine whether you're going to be happy or not and stand firm in God's anchoring peace! Isaiah 30:15 promises that in quietness and calmness will be your strength. Let this message empower you to live a life full of strength, power and joy; the fruit of standing in a place of peace.
Joel Osteen (July-19-2020) Watch Sermon: Say So. Words have creative power. When you speak something out, you give life to what you're saying. In this message, let Joel remind you of the power of your confession. It's one thing to believe you're blessed. But when you say, "I'm blessed." it takes on a whole new meaning. That's when blessings come looking for you. Psalm 107:2 says, "Let the redeemed of the Lord say so." It doesn't say let the redeemed think so, believe so or hope so. You've got to take it one step further and say so. If you're going to go to the next level, accomplish your dreams, overcome that obstacle, break that addiction, you've got to start declaring it. It's got to come out of your mouth. That's how you give life to your faith. When you change the direction of your words, you change your world! Let this message from God's Word teach you how to send your words out in the direction you want your life to go.
Joel Osteen (July-19-2020) Sunday Daily Devotion: Multiplication.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: The more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. Exodus 1:12, NKJV
TODAY'S WORD: After the death of Joseph, the people of Israel living in Egypt were blessed and increased greatly in numbers to the point that many years later, Pharaoh feared them and put them under slave masters to oppress them with forced labor. But today’s Scripture says the more Pharaoh afflicted them, the more the Israelites multiplied. Pharaoh thought he was stopping them, but in fact, he was increasing them.
Sometimes when God wants to promote you, He doesn’t send you a good break; He sends you an enemy. He’ll cause a supervisor, perhaps, to turn up the heat and put you in an unfair situation. Don’t get discouraged—the more opposition, the more you’re going to increase. We may not like it, but we grow under pressure, our character is developed, and we discover talent that we didn’t know we had. Get ready for new levels. Get ready for promotion. That pressure is not going to stop you; it’s going to increase you.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that You want me to tap into the treasures You’ve put inside me, and You use pressure to do that. Thank You that You stretch my faith and cause me to overcome and persevere. I believe that I will rise up to new levels. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-18-2020) Watch Sermon: Something That You've Never Seen. God is about to do something in your life that you've never seen! In this exciting message, Joel reminds us of the powerful verse in Exodus 34:10, "I will do great things that I have never done before anywhere on earth." This means God is going to show you favor in ways you never imagined. It's going to be unprecedented, out of the ordinary, unlike anything you've ever seen. Even if you feel like you don't have much faith to release for these breakthroughs to happen, you will learn that there is a faith of God that is going to get you to where you're supposed to be. These moments of favor have already been set up for you, and they are not solely dependent on your faith. It is God's faithfulness in your life that will cause them to show up. Let this message inspire you to get your hopes up. God's ready to do something you've never seen before!
Joel Osteen (July-18-2020) Daily Devotion: After This.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: After this, Job lived a hundred and forty years; he saw his children and their children to the fourth generation. Job 42:16, NIV
TODAY'S WORD: Nearly overnight, Job’s life was shattered by great personal losses and covered in a season of darkness. He could have given up on his faith. Even his wife told him to “curse God and die.” In the midst of the difficulty, Job looked up and said, “I know that my Redeemer lives.” He was saying, “I know God is still on the throne. Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.” When you can give God praise when life doesn’t make sense, God will release you into a new level of your destiny.
Notice that “after this” difficulty, Job came out with twice what he’d had before and lived for another 140 blessed years. Just because you experience a setback doesn’t mean your life is over. God has an “after this” coming. When you go through tough times, He’s not only going to bring you out, He’s going to bring you out increased, promoted, and better than you were before.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that nothing and no one can upset Your plans for my life. Thank You that You have an ‘after this’ for difficult seasons and my story doesn’t end there. Help me to declare that You live and are on the throne in the tough times. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-17-2020) Watch Sermon: A Magnet for Blessings. When you honor God with your life and keep Him first place, God puts something on you! It's called a commanded blessing. In this exciting message, Joel Osteen will teach from the powerful passage in Deuteronomy 28 which explains that when you walk in God's ways and make pleasing Him your highest priority, then His blessings will chase you down and overtake you. One translation says you will become a magnet for blessings. You don't have to seek blessings. All you have to do is seek God and the blessings will find you. So seek Him and you will experience explosive blessings that will take your life.
Joel Osteen (July-17-2020) Daily Devotion: Who’s the Boss?
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: For you are still only baby Christians, controlled by your own desires, not God’s. 1 Corinthians 3:3, TLB
TODAY'S WORD: Today’s Scripture describes a lot of people. If they feel like telling somebody off, feel like buying something they can’t afford, or feel like watching something they know is not good, they do it anyway. Desires and feelings will always be there. The problem is that when we give in to them, we come under their control. The more you feed those feelings—anger, self-pity, a bad attitude, a critical spirit—the stronger they grow.
The way you break free is to quit feeding them. The next time you feel like being upset, stay in peace. Put on some good praise music; think about how much you have to be grateful for. That’s feeding your spirit man instead of feeding your flesh. As your spirit person gets stronger, the flesh is getting weaker. Starve the negative emotions, and over time, they won’t control you. The sign of maturity is that you can feel the negative emotions, but you don’t act on them.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that I can choose to be disciplined and say no to the flesh and its desires. Thank You that every day I can take my feelings off the throne and allow Your Spirit to control my life. Help me to sow to the Spirit and do what’s right. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-16-2020) Watch Sermon: Grace is Looking for You. When you make a mistake, it's easy to think you've blown it and lose hope of a promising future. But in this encouraging message, Joel will teach you about the power of God's amazing grace in our lives. It doesn't matter what you've done or where you've been, God's grace is waiting for you to begin again. No mistake is ever too big for God's goodness to be released in your life. He loves you too much to let you to miss your destiny. His grace is looking for you today. The question is, are you ready to receive it?
Joel Osteen (July-16-2020) Daily Devotion: From Worst to Best.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: …with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among [the disciples] and said, “Peace be with you!” John 20:19, NIV
TODAY'S WORD: We celebrate Good Friday each year, but on the day when Jesus was crucified, the disciples thought it was the worst day of their lives. “Tragic Friday” would have been their description. The One whom they had devoted their lives to was dead and buried in a tomb. But a few days later, when Jesus rose from the dead, they realized that He was who He’d said He was. He had defeated the enemy and brought salvation to mankind. What they’d thought was the worst day of their lives became the best.
We all face times when a dream dies, a relationship ends, we come down with an illness—nothing about the situation seems good. It may not be good right now, but God knows how to bring it all together. You may think it is going to stop you, set you back, and cause you heartache. If you’ll stay in faith, one day you’ll look back and say it was good.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that You see the big picture for my life and that You use difficulties for my good. Help me to be patient and trusting when things happen that I don’t understand. I believe that You will bring it all together for my good. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Joel Osteen (July-15-2020) Daily Devotion: It’s Payback Time.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: “And I will make the Egyptians favorably disposed toward this people, so that when you leave you will not go empty-handed.” Exodus 3:21, NIV
TODAY'S WORD: After the Israelites had been in slavery for 430 years, God said, “I have seen the affliction of My people. I’ve heard their cries. I am coming down to deliver them.” God was saying, “Enough is enough. It’s payback time.” It was a great miracle for the Israelites to be set free, but God was keeping the records and said they wouldn’t leave empty-handed. On their way out, the Israelites asked the Egyptians for their gold, silver, and jewelry. God gave them favor, and the Egyptians willingly gave it to the Israelites.
You may be in an unfair situation for a long time, but God is saying, “I’m coming down to do something about it.” Things are about to change in your favor. Payback is coming, healing is coming, promotion is coming, vindication is coming, new relationships are coming. You’re not going to come out empty-handed. You’re going to come out loaded, better than you were, promoted, stronger, healthier, and at a new level.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that You are a God of justice and You keep the records. Thank You that the time comes when You say that enough is enough, that it’s payback time. I believe that things are about to shift in my favor and blessing is on the way. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-14-2020) Watch Sermon: The Yoke Destroyer. Many people don't realize they are living with a yoke that's holding them back from their full potential. A yoke is something that is a struggle or burden. Perhaps it's a sickness, low self-esteem, depression, or something inherited from your family. It is anything that is keeping you from being all that God has created you to be. The good news is that our God is the yoke destroyer. Isaiah 10:27 says, his burden will be taken off of your shoulders and the yoke removed from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed.? Let Joel show you how to release your burdens to God so that He can take you where you've never gone before. The yoke-destroying, burden-removing God wants to thrust you to a new level of your destiny.
Joel Osteen (July-14-2020) Daily Devotion: Find the Good.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good. Genesis 1:3–4, NIV
TODAY'S WORD: When God created the heavens and the earth on the first day, He said, “Let there be light,” and light came. There were no skies, no animals, and the earth was formless and empty, but God said it was “good.” An observer would have said, “God, it’s not good; it’s a mess. Nothing is in order.” And He would have responded, “Don’t worry. You’re only seeing day one. Wait till you see what it looks like when it’s ‘very good’ at the end of day six.”
Sometimes we’re so focused on our flaws, weaknesses, shortcomings, and how we should be further along that it holds us back. You need to focus on what you’re doing right. Find the good along the way; thank Him for the partial. If you don’t celebrate the good in day one, in the season that you’re in, you won’t see day two. If you’ll be grateful for the good, God will get you to very good.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that You created the heavens and earth, and You made me as well. Thank You that You’re not finished working in my life, and I celebrate the good. I believe that as I give thanks for the good that You will get me to very good. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-13-2020) Watch Sermon: Activate the Right Genes. We are all born with DNA from our parents, which is our genetic code of who we are. But just because you inherit something, it doesn't mean you have to active that code or pass it down to the next generation. In this eye-opening message, Pastor Joel will encourage you that it's time to activate your spiritual genes from your heavenly Father. He put in you genes of joy, strength, health, faith, discipline and abundance. Everything you need to live a blessed, full life is in you right now. It doesn't matter what's been passed down to you in your family, if you'll start activating the right genes and making choices that honor God, you will break negative cycles that have held you back. You and your family will rise to new levels.
Joel Osteen (July-13-2020) Daily Devotion: Don’t Give Your Identity Away.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: The fear of human opinion disables; trusting in GOD protects you from that. Proverbs 29:25, MSG
TODAY'S WORD: One day a large crowd of people celebrated Jesus’ arrival in Jerusalem, shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” A few days later, those same people were shouting, “Crucify Him!” When Jesus went to trial and needed His closest friends to support Him, most of His disciples had fled, one had betrayed Him, and Peter denied Him.
If you don’t know who you are without other people, then if they leave, you’ll be lost. They’ll take you with them because your identity was caught up in who they made you to be. Then you’ll have to try to find somebody else to tell you who you are. Don’t put your identity, your value into somebody else’s hands. You don’t need their approval or for them to tell you who you are. Your value came from your Creator. Let Him tell you who you are. Get your value, your self-worth, your approval from Him.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that I don’t have to look to someone else to tell me who I am because You have already told me that I am Your masterpiece and prized possession. I declare that my identity and value is securely in Your hands, and I’m not looking to others. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-12-2020) Sermon: Keep Growing. Every day that you spend learning, growing and improving, you?re getting prepared for a new level. You have treasure on the inside? gifts, talents, potential ? put in you by the Creator of the universe. But it?s not going to automatically come out, it has to be developed. In this eye-opening message, Joel will reveal the principle of growth and the rewards that follow. Proverbs 18:16 says, ?A man?s gift makes room for him.? When God sees you doing your part, developing what He?s given you, then He?ll do His part and open doors that no man can shut. Develop what God put in you, and He?ll take you further than you can imagine.
Joel Osteen (July-12-2020) Sunday Daily Devotion: Remove the Graveclothes.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: And the dead man came out, his hands and feet bound in graveclothes, his face wrapped in a headcloth. Jesus told them, “Unwrap him and let him go!” John 11:44, NLT
TODAY'S WORD: In John 11, when Lazarus was raised from the dead, Jesus told them, “Unwrap the graveclothes and let him go.” Even though God had done something amazing on the inside, somebody had to be willing to take off the messy, decaying, smelly graveclothes or he would never have experienced the fullness of what God had done.
There are people around us who are wearing graveclothes. God breathed life into them and has given them purpose, but on the outside, they’re still bound. They have addictions and bad habits, struggle with anger, and perhaps are loose in their morals. They’re messy. It’s tempting to think, When they clean themselves up and it’s not so stinky, I’ll help them. Why don’t you be the one to speak faith into them, to see the best in them, to help them get free? Love heals, love restores, love lifts up, love takes time to care. You can be a graveclothes remover.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You for freely giving me Your grace and mercy that I might freely give it to others. Thank You that I can help lift the fallen, restore the broken, and heal the hurting. Help me to be willing to get dirty and love people who are messy. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-11-2020) Sermon: Don't Fight It. We all face situations that we don't like. Somebody is not treating us right, business is not growing as fast as we'd hoped, or we're single and still haven't met anyone. Our natural response is to pray the situation away. But in this eye-opening message, Joel will show you how God sometimes uses our difficulties to teach us, grow us, and even protect us from situations in the future. You can rest assured that God is directing your steps. Nothing is a surprise to Him. If He hasn't changed a situation, then it's time to enter into His rest and let go of the worry and stress. In your due season, when you're prepared, when it's best for you, God will remove the difficulty and take you to a new level. But in the meantime, one way to show God you're trusting Him is to enjoy your life while God is changing the circumstances. That's getting you prepared for the amazing future God has in store. Let Joel show you how to not only have a vision, but a BIG vision. He'll teach you creative ideas on how to take practical, daily steps to set a vision and then create reminders. It's not enough to just dream it, you need to see it and let a seed take root in your heart. If you'll have a big vision, God will not only do what you're dreaming about, He will do more than you can ask or think.
Joel Osteen (July-11-2020) Daily Devotion: There’s Power in Obedience.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: But Naaman went away angry and said, “I thought that he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the LORD his God, wave his hand over the spot and cure me of my leprosy.” 2 Kings 5:11, NIV
TODAY'S WORD: Naaman was the commander of the Syrian army, a very powerful man, but he had leprosy, an incurable disease. He traveled a great distance to have the prophet Elisha pray for him, but he was offended when Elisha told him to wash seven times in the Jordan River and he would be healed. He had a preconceived idea of how God was going to do it, but you can’t put God in a box. He may not turn your problem around in a traditional way. Stay open and let God do it His way. Naaman didn’t want to do this small thing, but when he finally did, he found that small acts of obedience lead to big blessings. When you obey in the small things, when it doesn’t seem like it matters, when nobody is watching, that obedience leads to God’s favor in big ways. When you obey, miracles happen, healing is released, new doors open, and problems turn around.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that You are the true and living God and that You reward those who honor You. Thank You that our obedience can never earn Your blessing, but it can lead to it. I believe that when I am doing the right thing, You will reward me with favor. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-10-2020) Watch Sermon: Release the Full You. Do you know that in you right now is everything you need to fulfill your destiny? You are equipped, blessed, talented, focused and confident, but it is up to you to bring it out. How do you do this? By renewing your mind with the powerful word of God. Let Joel guide you on how to do this so that you can be on your way to living a full, passionate, dynamic life. When you let go of limiting beliefs or comments others have said about you and replace them with what God says about you, the full you is going to be released and an amazing transformation will take place. You will see the blessed you, the prosperous you, the confident you, the talented you, the healthy you, the happy you.
Joel Osteen (July-10-2020) Daily Devotion: The Laughter of Amazement.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Psalm 126:1–2, NIV
TODAY'S WORD: The Israelites had been taken into captivity by the Babylonians. The return and the restoration of Jerusalem had been anticipated for so long that it seemed like a dream to them. Some of them had waited their entire lifetime. Their joy was beyond containing. They were laughing in amazement, saying, “This is like a dream. It’s too good to be true.”
Some of the things you’ve been dreaming about—to get out of debt, to start that business, to meet the right person, to finish college—the odds may be against you, it seems laughable, but God is about to surprise you. Stay in faith, because like the Israelites, the day is coming where God fills your mouth with the laughter of amazement. It’s going to seem like a dream. You’re not only going to be amazed, but the people around you are going to be so in awe that all they can do is laugh with you.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You for the things You’ve put into my heart that seem laughable and that I have to dare to believe can happen. Thank You that You do what seems to be too good to be true. I’m going to stay in faith and look forward to laughing in amazement. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-09-2020) Watch Sermon: Keep Your Vision in Front of You. Is there something that you see every day that reminds you of what you're believing for, something that inspires you and ignites your faith? Proverbs 29:18 says, Where there is no vision, the people perish. Many people lose their passion in life because there is nothing to remind them of their dreams, hopes and prayers. That's why vision is so important? what we see each day determines the direction our life will go. Let Joel show you how to have a greater vision for your life. If you'll have a big vision, God will not only do what you're dreaming about, He will do more than you can ask or think.
Joel Osteen (July-09-2020) Daily Devotion: Do it in Spite of the Fear.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: “No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.” Matthew 5:15, NLT
TODAY'S WORD: God has put gifts and talents in you. He’s given you dreams and goals that are unique to your life. But it’s easy to let fear hold you back. “What if I try it and it doesn’t work…what if people don’t accept me…what if I don’t have the talent?” Too often we let the what-ifs talk us out of it. Quit hiding the dreams and talent that God has given you. He created you to shine, to make a difference, to leave your mark. Your gift isn’t just for you; it’s to share with the world.
Life is short, so stir up what God put in you. You can’t wait till the fear goes away and then you’ll do it. The fear may not go away. You’re going to have to do it in spite of the fear. That’s what faith is all about. Nobody who’s ever done anything great in life has done it without fear.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You for entrusting me with gifts and talents and dreams. Thank You that I have greatness in me because You put it there. Help me to come out of hiding and release what You’ve given me in spite of my fears. I will shine Your light into my world. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-08-2020) Watch Sermon: God Will Finish What He Started. The moment God put a dream in your heart, He set a completion date. In this exciting message, Joel Osteen will take you on a journey of faith revealing encouraging stories of those in the Bible who knew what it was like to have a dream but faced setbacks, disappointments, and periods of time when it looked like it would never happen. He will show you how they overcame the temptation to give up and how they eventually saw their promise completed. You will be reminded that whatever God begins in you, He will always complete. He is the author and finisher of your faith!
Joel Osteen (July-08-2020) Daily Devotion: Trouble is Transportation.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: The LORD directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way? Proverbs 20:24, NLT
TODAY'S WORD: When troubles come our way, it’s easy to get discouraged, but God uses difficulties to move us toward our destiny. You won’t become all you were created to be without trouble. You don’t grow in the good times; you grow in the tough times, the dark times. Trouble prepares you for the next level. Trouble develops something in you that you can’t get when it’s easy and everything is going your way. In the difficult times, your spiritual muscles are developed, and you gain strength, endurance, and wisdom.
Every challenge you’ve been through has deposited something in you. Through every relationship that didn’t work out, through those times when somebody did you wrong, you gained insight. The times when you failed, when you blew it weren’t wasted—you gained experience that will transport you in the future. The truth is that trouble was transportation. It was all a part of God’s plan.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that You are the Most High God who is directing my steps. Thank You that the difficulty I’m experiencing now is developing something in me that I can’t get when it’s easy. I believe it is transporting me to the next level of my destiny. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

We all face seasons and situations in life that feel like they are going to disqualify us from our destiny or derail our purpose. In these times, it is so important to stir our faith and to remember that we are still going to get to our promised destination. We might be facing a detour, but it wasn't a surprise to God. Joel Osteen (July-07-2020) Sermon: Make God a Part Of Your Everyday Life. Did you know that God wants to help you not just in the big things, but even in the small things? But here's the key: God will only be involved in your life as much as you will allow Him. In this message, let Joel show you how to make God a part of your everyday life. Proverbs 3:6 says, "In all your ways acknowledge God, and He will make your paths straight." When you make God a part of your everyday life and put Him first, He promises He will crown your efforts with success. You will accomplish more than you ever could have on your own.
Joel Osteen (July-07-2020) Daily Devotion: Believe What God Says about You.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: The angel of the LORD appeared to him and said, “Mighty hero, the LORD is with you!... Go with the strength you have, and rescue Israel from the Midianites. I am sending you!” Judges 6:12, 14, NLT
TODAY'S WORD: There was a man in the Scripture named Gideon whom God wanted to lead the people of Israel against an opposing army. The angel appeared to him and said, “Hello, Gideon, you mighty man of fearless courage,” I can imagine Gideon looking around thinking, Who is he talking to? Gideon was afraid, intimidated, and insecure. But notice that God didn’t call him what he was. God called him what he could become. God sees your potential. God knows what you’re capable of. You may feel weak, but God calls you strong. You may be intimidated today, but God calls you confident. You may feel less than, but God calls you well able. If the Angel of the Lord were to appear to you today, He would say the same thing he said to Gideon. “Hello, you mighty man, you mighty woman of fearless courage.”
Why don’t you get in agreement with God and start believing what He says about you?
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that You see my potential and know what I am capable of. Thank You that You have equipped and are empowering me to be strong where I feel weak and less than. I believe that You are transforming me into a mighty warrior. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-06-2020) Watch Sermon: You Have Resurrection Power. Most of us believe Jesus has incredible power, but Romans 8:11 says that the Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in you. Did you catch that? The greatest force in the universe lives in you! In this powerful message, Joel will remind you of this life-changing truth and teach you how to walk in resurrection power each day. It?s the power to overcome obstacles, outlast opposition, and the power to accomplish your dreams. It?s time to let go of fear and intimidation and live life in the fullness of God?s power!
Joel Osteen (July-06-2020) Daily Devotion: Strengthen Yourself.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: David was greatly distressed…But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God. 1 Samuel 30:6, ESV
TODAY'S WORD: Thirteen years after David was anointed to be the next king of Israel, he was still living as a fugitive from King Saul. Then one day, he and his six hundred men came home and found their city had been burned, their possessions taken, and their families taken captive. It was the worst defeat of David’s life. He and his men wept until they could not weep anymore. He was tempted to think, God, I’ve been faithful year after year. This is the final straw.
But David made a decision: “I am not allowing this discouragement to stay. I am strong in the Lord. I am His anointed.” You can talk yourself into defeat or into victory. When you speak the right way, strength comes, courage comes, vision comes, healing comes. Turn the discouragement around and say, “Yes, this is tough, but I am strong in the Lord. No weapon formed against me will prosper.” Strengthen yourself in the Lord.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that the power of Your life in me is greater than the greatest force that can ever come against me. Thank You that I can put discouragement behind me and stir up my faith. I believe that no weapon that is formed against me will prosper. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (July-05-2020) Watch Sermon: Take Control of Your Happiness. Relationships are a gift from God, but they can keep us from our destiny if they are out of balance. In this eye-opening message, Joel will teach you how to take inventory of your relationships and build healthy boundaries. Many people today are overextending themselves, trying to keep others happy by meeting all of their wishes and demands. But that doesn?t have to be you. Learn how to take charge of your life and surround yourself with those who build you up, not bring you down, so that you can become everything God has created you to be.
Joel Osteen (July-05-2020) Sunday Daily Devotion: The God of Acceleration.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: “Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings!” Amos 9:13, MSG
TODAY'S WORD: We all have dreams we’re believing to accomplish, problems we’re hoping will turn around. Many times in the natural it looks as though it’s going to take years to happen. But God doesn’t always follow a natural timeline. He knows how to open the windows of heaven. One good break can put you into overflow. You’re going to look up and think, How did it get here so quickly? What was that? The God of acceleration, speeding it up, making things happen that you couldn’t make happen.
This is what the prophet Amos said. Things are going to happen so fast—breakthroughs in your finances, promotions, healing—that your head will swim. Yes, there are seasons of patiently waiting, being faithful, passing the tests, but there are also seasons where God will accelerate the work and do things so fast, so amazing that your head will spin. God works where there’s faith, where there’s expectancy. Take the limits off of God.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that You can take me further faster than I could ever imagine because I honor You. I am taking off the limits and believing that You have wonderful things in store for me. I ask You to make my head swim and bring on the blessings. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (july-04-2020) Sermon: Get Over It. We all go through tough and painful times, but we're not supposed to stay there. We are to turn the page, though it's not always easy. That's why Joel wants to show you in this powerful message how to let it all go and why. Hebrews 12:15 says, "See to it that no root of bitterness grows up and causes you trouble." Holding on to pain only causes us to live in bitterness and more pain. But in order to walk in the fullness of your destiny and receive the new, fresh things God wants to do, we have to let it all go.
Joel Osteen (July-04-2020) Daily Devotion: Declare Freedom.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you. Galatians 5:1, MSG
TODAY'S WORD: Today we celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence, which marks July 4, 1776, as the day our Founding Fathers declared our freedom as a nation. What’s interesting is that it wasn’t until many years later that our nation actually experienced freedom. There were battles raging, but the people were celebrating their decision to fight for freedom! They declared their freedom first, and then they stood their ground until they had the victory to live as free men and women.
There may be some things that you’re fighting today, things that you want to get free from—addictions, anxieties, lack, fear. No matter what battle you are facing, let this be the day you declare your freedom! You may have to stand and press through for a little while, but know that freedom is yours the day you declare it! Let freedom ring loudly in your life and embrace the victory He has in store for you!
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that it was for freedom that Christ set us free and that whom the Son sets free is free indeed. Thank You that I can take my stand and press through on the freedoms I am battling for. I declare the victory through Christ Jesus. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
Joel Osteen (july-03-2020) Watch Sermon: Be Good To People. God said to Abraham in Genesis 12:2, "I will bless you and you will be a blessing." In this message, Joel reminds us of an important key to living a blessed, prosperous life; and that's a lifestyle of giving. A lot of times, we wait for a special occasion to do something kind for others, or we think giving has to be costly. But Joel will reveal to you what the Bible says about being kind, and most importantly, the type of giving and kindness Jesus modeled. When you live a lifestyle of being good to others, you'll be happier, your life will be more rewarding, and God promises your gifts will come back to you.
Joel Osteen (July-03-2020) Daily Devotion: He Goes before You.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: “The LORD your God, who is going before you, will fight for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes.” Deuteronomy 1:30, NIV
TODAY'S WORD: The Israelites had been freed from slavery and were on their way to the Promised Land. They had all kinds of enemy nations surrounding them and no military equipment or training. Now they were out in the heat of the desert without water and food sources. They felt overwhelmed, outnumbered, and inadequate. In the natural, they didn’t have a chance. But God spoke today’s Scripture to them. They had seen God part the Red Sea and destroy Pharaoh and his army.
You may feel that the odds are against you. But God is saying to you what He said to them, “I’m going before you, and I’m fighting for you.” Whatever is trying to stop you is no match for our God. One touch of His favor and He’ll turn that Red Sea into dry ground. You’re not going to have to struggle and fight. It may look intimidating, like it’s never going to change, but don’t worry. God is going to do something extraordinary.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that You are the Almighty God who goes before me and fights for me. Thank You for all the great things You have done for me and for all the extraordinary victories that You are about to bring me through. I believe that this is a new day of Your favor. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
