Joel Osteen (September-18-2020) Today's Word: Ask for Help.

Today’s Scripture: Admit your faults to one another and pray for each other so that you may be healed. James 5:16, TLB

Today’s Word: It's easy to hide things in our lives and let people see only what we want them to see. All the heroes of faith in the Scripture had their weaknesses and failures. Everyone has issues. If you're still struggling in an area today, there is no shame in asking for help. Sometimes we think we're supposed to be perfect, so we can't let anybody know we have a bad habit, an addiction, or a struggle. We would be embarrassed if others knew. Today's Scripture tells you to not let shame keep you isolated. Real healing begins when we get honest. There are some things that you can't overcome on your own.

You need to find somebody to stand in faith with you, a person of integrity whom you can trust to walk with you through it. There's something about getting it out in the open. Don't let the fear of what other people think keep you from your miracle.

Prayer for Today: "Father, thank You that You didn't create me to hide my faults and weaknesses and be isolated. Help me to find someone whose integrity I trust to stand in faith and pray with me. I want the healing that comes with being honest and bringing my issues to the light. In Jesus' Name, Amen."

This message was so uplifting for me.. The pass few years have been rough losing a daughter and husband to cancer along with my dad to dementia. People would says get rid of everything and start fresh; but I couldn't give up on my dream with horses.. With this message I now know its alright to ask BIG instead of settling for just getting by and not obtaining my dream.

    In Christ,
