Joel Osteen Daily Devotional (October 11, 2025) Complaint-Free.

Do everything without complaining and arguing. Philippians 2:14, NLT

Today's Word: It’s easy to think about what we don’t like and start complaining. “I don’t like my job. He gets on my nerves. I can’t stand this traffic. I don’t feel like cooking dinner.” You’re making yourself miserable. Every time you complain, you’re leaking out joy. It’s draining what you need. Sometimes we even complain about the very thing we asked God for and He gave it to us. You prayed for the right house, so don’t complain about the maintenance costs. You prayed for your children, so don’t complain because you have to get up in the night.

Turn it around and start being grateful. You may not like your job, but instead of complaining, thank God that you have a job. If you are grateful where you are, He can get you to where you want to be. You may have some tough circumstances coming against you, but you can have a song of praise in your heart because you know that God is fighting your battles. Living with an attitude of gratitude will cause your joy to abound.

Prayer For Today: “Father, thank You that Your goodness is so much greater than all the negative things that I’ve faced and will face. Thank You that I can have a song in my heart even when things are not the way I’d like them to be. I declare that I am going to rejoice and be glad. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
