Joel Osteen (July 13, 2025) Daily Devotional: Sharing Your Faith.
…that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. Philemon 6, NKJV
Today's Word: It’s interesting that right before Peter left his fishing nets to become one of Jesus’ disciples that he would say, “Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man!” He felt so unworthy to even be in Christ’s presence. But Peter learned to receive God’s approval, mercy, and favor, and when the church was first starting in Acts 2, it was Peter who stepped forward and spoke the inaugural message. His mentality had shifted from “I’m unworthy” to “I am well able. I am strong in the Lord. I am anointed.” It all depends on what you’re receiving. As with Peter, your faith is not made effective by pointing out your flaws, focusing on your shortcomings, being down on yourself. Start receiving God’s approval. “Lord, I thank You that I am a masterpiece.” Receive His mercy. “Father, thank You that Your mercy is bigger than my mistakes. Thank You that I am forgiven, redeemed, and restored.” Receive His favor. “Lord, thank You that You’re taking me where I’ve never dreamed.” Have a receiving mindset for what seems too good to be true.
Prayer For Today: “Father, thank You for all the good gifts and talents and dreams You’ve given me. Thank You that I can stop focusing on my flaws and weaknesses and step forward into my potential. I believe that I have Your approval, mercy, and favor to share my faith in effective ways. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
