Joel Osteen - Sermon: You're Coming Out. We all face situations that look permanent in our health, relationships and careers. It’s easy to think that’s the way it will always be. In this exciting message, let Joel give you the faith tools to move into that next chapter in life. You may be walking through a valley, but know this: it’s not your destiny to stay there. Build your faith with this motivating message. Psalm 84:6, says, "Passing through the valley of weeping, you will find pools of blessing." When you’re in the valley, if you’ll stay in faith knowing that God has something better, He’ll take those tears and turn them into pools to refresh you. You’ll have the strength you need for every situation. You will come out! I want to talk to you today about your coming out. We all face situations that look permanent in our health, our relationships, our career. It's easy to think that that's the way it's always going to be. I'll always struggle with this addiction. I'll always have to deal with this depression. I'll always be at this same level. I'll never break out of the rut, do something great. But just because it seems permanent to us doesn't mean that it's permanent to God. God doesn't allow you to get into anything that He can't bring you out of.

Victoria Osteen - Sermon: A Great Leader is a Great Servant. God has placed a longing to achieve inside each of us, He wants us to rise higher and reach our destiny. With success often comes position, titles, and authority. When we find ourselves in a position of authority, we need to remember that a good leader is a good servant. If we want to lead, then first we have to learn to serve others with a good attitude. Just as Jesus used his power to serve others, we can use what God gives us to help people. As we bless others, we’ll see joy and fulfillment increase in our lives.

Greatness Out of Messes - Joel Osteen Daily Devotional (October-11-2023). Today’s Scripture: Genesis 21:17, NIV God heard the boy crying...

Today’s Word. At the age of sixteen, Ishmael found himself abandoned in the desert confused, rejected, out of water and food. He was born and raised in the dysfunctional relationship between his mother and Abraham and Sarah. He was paying the price for the strife and division in the family that he was not responsible for and could not control, dealing with the consequences of their poor choices. Sent away from his home and about to die, this young man's cry was heard by God, who not only saved him and his mother but promised to make a great nation out of Ishmael.

God was showing us that He knows how to bring greatness out of a great mess. You may have had a rough start, the odds have been against you, but God is watching over you. He knows what you didn't get. He knows who wasn't in your life. He knows the pain, the betrayal, and the hurt. Call out to Him. He has a plan to make more out of your life than you ever imagined.

Prayer for Today. Father, thank You that You are watching over me, and You know what I didn't get and who wasn't there for me. Thank You that You have a plan for how to deal with the past and make me into more than I've ever imagined. I believe that because You are my Father, I can still do great things. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Calling Out Greatness - Joel Osteen

Charles Stanley (July-15-2023) Daily Devotional: The Way to True Greatness.

The path of sacrifice leads to a fruitful life that reflects our Savior's love.

Matthew 16:21-27 - From that time Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised up on the third day. Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, ``God forbid it, Lord! This shall never happen to You." But He turned and said to Peter, ``Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God's interests, but man's." Then Jesus said to His disciples, ``If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. ``For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. ``For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? ``For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and WILL THEN REPAY EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS.

In our culture, success is based on achievement. We admire those who perform well in athletics, business, and the arts. In God’s kingdom, however, greatness is found in a life of obedience. Jesus embodied this counter-cultural greatness through His…

• Sacrifice. Christ, who was “in very nature God” (Phil. 2:6 NIV), chose to live among us. Laying aside His divine authority, He spent His first 30 years in obscurity and then faithfully carried out God’s plan all the way to His death. Jesus’ days on earth are an example to us of the sacrificial life (Philippians 2:7-8 - but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross).

• Service. Jesus said He came “to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45 - ``For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."). During His public ministry, He gave His time, attention, and energy for others. He also fed and healed many people. But Jesus’ supreme act of service was dying on the cross so we might have eternal life.

Our Savior calls us to follow His example of sacrificial service to others (Luke 9:23 - And He was saying to them all, ``If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me). It’s a tall order, but one He promises we can achieve with His help: “I am the vine, you are the branches; the one who remains in Me, and I in him bears much fruit” (John 15:5 - I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing).

We Are Not Crazy - Jentezen Franklin. God measures greatness by service, not status. Greatness isn’t measured by how many people serve you, but how many people YOU serve. That’s how God views service. To be like Jesus is to be a servant. Service is a spiritual gift. We all have the gift of service.
