You Promised - Joel Osteen Today's Word (January-06-2025)

Joel Osteen (January-06-2025) Today's Word: You Promised

Today’s Scripture: Isaiah 62:6, AMPC - You who...put the Lord in remembrance [of His promises], keep not silence.

Today’s Word: Most of us are good at telling God our problems, but Isaiah tells us to put the Lord in remembrance of His promises, not our problems. It's easy to complain and say, "God, these people aren't treating me right. My back's hurting, and my child isn't doing right." But don't just pray the problem, pray the promises. When you face difficulties, find a promise in the Scripture and remind God of what He said about you. "God, You promised to restore health back to me. You promised You would be my vindicator. You promised that my children will be mighty in the land."

God is not obligated to bring to pass what you say, but He is obligated to bring to pass what He says. When you say, "God, You promised," angels go to work, forces of darkness are pushed back, chains are broken, favor is released in a new way, and impossible situations turn around. Nothing can stand against our God.

Prayer for Today: "Father, thank You that You know everything I need before I even ask. Thank You that I can stir up my faith and put You in remembrance of Your promises. I believe that when I say 'You promised,' something powerful happens because You watch over Your Word to perform it. In Jesus' Name, Amen."
