2 Chronicles 7:15-16 - John Hagee Daily Devotion (October-24-2023)

John Hagee (October-24-2023) Daily Devotion: 2 Chronicles 7:15-16 - Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually

After Solomon completed the majestic Temple, he consecrated it to God. The glory of the Lord filled the building, and the children of Israel fell on their faces and rejoiced.

Later, the Lord appeared to Solomon and assured Him that He had chosen the Temple as a house of sacrifice. When He shut up the heavens and held back the rain, or commanded locusts to devour the land, or sent disease among the people, He made this promise to Solomon (II Chronicles 7:14).

If My people – not the Congress or Supreme Court – who are called by My name – not Republican or Democrat, but the God of heaven and earth Who created us in His image – humble themselves and pray – no flashy pretensions but repentant hearts seeking forgiveness – then, I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land.

We are the temple of the Holy Spirit, the dwelling place of the awe-inspiring Most High God. We are chosen, sanctified, and sealed with His name. His eyes are open, and His ears are attentive to our prayers. His gaze is upon us, and His heart is perpetually within us.

Today's Blessing: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. May you humble yourself and pray for your family, church, and nation. His eyes are open, His ears are attentive, and His heart is with you.

  • Old Testament - Jeremiah 44:24-47:7
  • New Testament - 2 Timothy 2:22-3:17

We are so thankful for Pastor John Hagee. His teaching and sermons have been water to our souls. We attend a church that has nine different campuses in Ca. They are not teaching about end times. Not speaking out against abortion or standing with Israel. They do many other things that are wonderful.
However these are perilous times and my heart and that of my husband is very grieved.
