John 20:21 - John Hagee Daily Devotional (December-30-2024)

Updated December 30 2024 In Daily Devotions by John Hagee

John Hagee (December-30-2024) Daily Devotional: John 20:21 - So Jesus said to them again, "Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you."

Have you committed to any New Year’s resolutions? Have you vowed to break a habit or initiate a healthy one? Our natural inclination is to get stuck in Neutral.

In our overcrowded lives, we assume that someone else will do what God actually is calling us to do.  Someone else will witness to a neighbor or volunteer at a shelter or pray with a co-worker.

The Bystander Effect – a social psychological phenomenon – indicates that individuals fail to offer help when other people are present. The greater the number of bystanders, the less likely any of them will help. Everyone waits for someone else to come to the aid of the victim.

For someone in your life right now, you are God’s Plan A. Most likely, He is prompting you to do something you have not done before, to stretch beyond what is comfortable. Jesus is counting on you to listen to His voice, to obey His prompting, and to reach out to meet the need. He created you for this moment, this good work that He ordained, to be the answer to someone’s prayer.

Have you asked God to reveal your 2022 mission? All around us, people need a Savior. And YOU are Plan A for at least one of them. How will you resolve to intentionally serve Jesus and others in the new year?

Blessing: Heavenly Father, here I am. Send me. Help me get past my excuses in 2022. Let me be quick to answer and quick to fulfill the mission to which You are calling me. In Jesus’ name and for His glory…amen.

Dear Pastor Hagee and Matt, I've been trying to connect to your church services through this system, but almost never have I been able. There are places for me to click on, but it only gives me a box that is blank inside. So far, I've seen one program, and on another day, a repeat of it. I am able to receive someone reading from the Bible, which I often listen to, but I really want to hear YOU. I pay extra to watch my Christian channels, and this is not fair.

It appears that our "leaders?" are really trying to do a "number" on our Christian leaders--and I consider YOU to be the very BEST. I keep looking for you on Sundays and other days of the week, but I'm not having much luck. I have found you and Matt a couple of times, which is good, but I often have to flip through the TV channels--looking.
