Joyce Meyer (March-17-2024) Daily Devotion: God Looks Inside.

Sometimes we’re more concerned with outward things than we should be, and not nearly concerned enough about our inner life. If we paraphrase today’s Scripture, it could say, “God may like your outfit, but He isn’t nearly as concerned about your outer appearance as He is with the inner condition of your heart.”

It’s critically important that we live our lives with godly character and the inner qualities that matter to God. Most people spend a lot of time getting dressed each morning and making sure they look just right, and that’s a good trait. But we should first and foremost spend time making sure we’re right in our thoughts and attitudes, because we can’t have good behavior unless we begin with a right heart attitude.

Take some time each morning to "set your mind" in the right direction. Confess any sin you’ve committed, forgive anyone you’re offended with, and give all your cares and worries to God. With your mind set in the right direction, you’ll be an amazing example of peace to others throughout the day.

Prayer Starter: Father, help me develop such inner strength and peace that I can handle every situation in a way that represents You well to others. Thank You for giving me Your grace to keep a right attitude today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Joel Osteen (March-10-2024) Daily Devotion: You’re All Set Up.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: “He will take you upstairs to a large room that is already set up. That is where you should prepare our meal.” Luke 22:12, NLT

TODAY'S WORD: In Luke 22, Jesus told Peter and John to go into Jerusalem and make arrangements for what is now known as the Last Supper. He gave them the exact details—the right person to meet, the right time, the right house—and everything fell precisely into place. They didn’t have to persuade the owner of the house to help. No, he was expecting them. The room was “already set up.”

When God laid out the plan for your life, He set up everything you need to fulfill your destiny—every good break, every person, every solution. Before you had that problem you think will never turn around, He had already set up the answer. You don’t have to try to manipulate people or convince someone to be good to you. The desires that God put in your heart may seem far out, but if you’ll stay in faith and keep honoring God, you’re going to come into what God has already set up.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You for the blessings You’ve already set up. Thank You for the favor, the promotion, the healing, and the good breaks that You’ve already ordained to come across my path. I believe that You are directing my steps and orchestrating everything around me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Joel Osteen  (March-07-2024) Daily Devotion: Know Your True Value.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lose their value. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. 1 Peter 1:18–19, NLT

TODAY'S WORD: Too often we base our value on how someone is treating us, how successful we are, how perfect a life we’ve lived. We base it on what we do, what our income is, who we know. The problem is that all those things can change. If you’re trying to get your value from how people treat you, then if they hurt or disappoint you, you’re going to feel devalued. If you’re basing your value upon your achievements, then if something negative happens, your sense of value will go down.

Your value should be based solely on the fact that you are a child of the Most High God. You have royalty in your blood. How someone treats you doesn’t change your value. Nothing you ever do, nothing you ever achieve, and nothing you ever overcome will make you any more valuable. You are valuable right now. You have been fearfully and wonderfully made. God calls you a masterpiece. Start carrying yourself with confidence.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that my value is based solely on the fact that I am Your child and that I am valuable right now no matter what I’ve done or how I feel. I declare that nothing I ever do, or ever achieve, or ever overcome will make me any more valuable. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Jentezen Franklin (March 2, 2024) Daily Devotional: Timing Is Everything.

“There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Ecclesiastes 3:1

Scripture declares in Proverbs that for every purpose, there is a season. This means you can’t just have purpose. Purpose is connected to timing.

In the late 1800’s, there was no standard for keeping time in the United States. Back then, people just went by the position of the sun. Then, eventually, they started to build big town clocks on steeples or towers. They would set the clocks, but the time would vary from town to town. Then, the railroads came along, and they realized that they had to have a unified way to measure time, or else the trains could collide. The railroads wanted every town to set their clocks to railroad time. Unfortunately, many cities refused to synchronize their clocks with the railroad’s clock. Towns were split over this issue, but 35 years later, the standard time system was enacted into legislation in America, and the entire country came under one set time. A greater power decided that they didn’t care what everyone’s own personal clocks said.

We need to get our clock in sync with God’s clock. You may be thinking, “It’s time, Lord. Why hasn’t it happened yet?” And God may be saying, “Get in sync with my clock.” David said, “My times are in your hands.”

Jesus understood this principle. In John 7, Jesus’ brothers urged him, “Leave here and go to Judea, where your followers can see your miracles! You can’t become famous if you hide like this! If you can do such wonderful things, show yourself to the world!” Jesus replied, “Now is not the right time for me to go…my time has not yet come.”

God told Abraham that he would bear a son through his wife Sara, who was already up in age. Instead of Abraham and Sarah waiting on God’s timing, they took matters into their own hands and decided to have Abraham sleep with her younger servant, Hagar. This decision had many ramifications that echoed throughout history. You often miss out on His best when you stubbornly try to force God to conform to your time.

Galatians 4:4-5 says, “But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman…to buy freedom for us…so he could adopt us as his very own children.” Ephesians 1:10 says, “And this is the plan: At the right time, he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ.” God has a plan. He knows what He is doing, and you can trust His timing.

Joel Osteen (February-29-2024) Daily Devotion: Never Forget His Benefits.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion. Psalm 103:2–4, NIV

TODAY'S WORD: When you look back over your life, consider some of the things you’ve faced that at the time, you didn’t think you could make it through. The obstacle was so large, the breakup hurt you so badly, the medical report was so negative. You didn’t see a way, but God turned it around. He gave you strength to go on. That wasn’t a coincidence. It was the hand of God.

Those challenges not only prepared you for your future, they’ve also given you a history with God. When you’re in a tough time, remember how God turned your health around or how He brought you out of trouble. When you remember how God has protected you, promoted you, healed you, and restored you, faith will rise in your heart. Instead of thinking, I’ll never get out of this problem, you’ll say with confidence, “God made a way for me in the past. He’s going to make a way in the future.”

PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that Your hand has been upon my life in so many ways. Thank You for the countless things You have made happen for my good that I could never make happen. I believe You are protecting me, promoting me, healing me, and restoring me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

John Hagee (February 29, 2024) Daily Devotion: Daniel 2:22. He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him

When the word “apocalypse” is mentioned, visions of doomsday scenarios, mushroom clouds over cities, and end-of-days disasters come immediately to mind.

The apocalypse is not the end of the world, a nuclear war or a horrific, last-days judgment. “Apocalypse” is derived from a Greek word that means “to pull back, unveil or the holy disclosure of information or knowledge.”

In the book of Daniel, the hand of God pulled back the curtain of time to show Daniel what waited on the other side. This unveiling revealed Himself as the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

Sometimes, we become so focused on the notes on the page that we forget to enjoy the music. The apocalypse is not intended to create confusion or bog us down in frightening details. For those of us who belong to Jesus, we can be filled with confidence and hope. God is still on His throne in absolute control.

When the final word is uttered by the last leader on earth, God will still be in power. No government can unseat Him. No scientist can disprove Him. No judge can overrule Him. He has unveiled His plans so we can be prepared and look forward to the promised salvation through Jesus Christ, His Son.

Blessing:  May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. Rejoice that your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life! The King of kings and Lord of lords is coming soon for His waiting bride!

Joel Osteen February 18, 2024 Daily Devotion: Have Deep Roots.

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: You can’t find firm footing in a swamp, but life rooted in God stands firm. Proverbs 12:3, MSG

TODAY'S WORD: When the ground is saturated, even a big sturdy oak tree with an extensive root system that extends beyond its canopy can be blown over by high winds. That’s because most of its roots are less than twelve inches deep and don’t have anything to anchor to.

It’s the same principle in life. We all have things that come against us—a medical issue, a business downturn, a child gets in trouble. What’s going to determine whether or not you stand strong and outlast these storms is the depth of your roots. The reason some people are always upset, offended, and discouraged is that they only have surface roots. They’re moved by what somebody said or did or something unfair. They’re always being tossed to and fro. But when you have deep roots, when you know that God is in control, you’re not moved by what doesn’t go your way. The winds may blow, but you’re still standing.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You for giving me the promise that because my roots are in You, I will not be moved. Help me to sink my roots of faith deeper in You and trust in Your faithfulness. I declare that I am strong in You and in the power of Your might. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Daily Devotion (February-17-2024) EMBRACE THE HOLY SPIRIT IN YOUR LIFE!

Scripture Reference - "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." (Acts 1:8)

The Church winning the battle against the kingdom of darkness is the Holy Spirit. When you receive the Spirit you have received you very source of all power to cause the change you desire. You are powerless untill you receive the Spirit. As a Christian your advantage in life is the Holy Spirit. When He comes into your life fear disappears forever.

Therefore, it doesn't matter what's happening in the world today; refuse to fear. When you watch and listen to the news, is full of fear but my dear, you have received the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah! So, don't mix fear with your faith. The kingdom to which you belong, and the life that God has given you, function with the life that God has given you, function with the exclusion of fear.

My dear, after you are born again, everything in your life is already touched by the power of the Holy Spirit. There's life in you called the Spirit; when He comes into your life He gives you counsel and guide you because you are now a new person. How your old life was has now changed. Man can no more be your helper but God. My dear, allow the Holy Spirit to help you because He knows the kind of future He has for you. Don't be deceived that you can still hold on with your formal friendships, past relationships and past behavior.

Choose the Holy Spirit to guide and direct you through your pastors and you will be surprised on how your life will turn out to be. Trust your life on God and take His Word as everything.

PRAYER - Thank you dear Father, for sending the Holy Spirit, who is the earnest or down payment of purchased possessions, and by whom I'm walled against fear, and uncertainty. I take advantage of His ministry, to help, guide, counsel, strengthen and comfort me till Jesus comes. Amen

Daily Devotional (February 16, 2024) UNRAVELLING THE PRAYER OF INTERCESSION.

Scripture Reference: "And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the Hedge, and stand in the Gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none." Ezekiel 22:30 (KJV)

The Prayer of Intercession is a Heartfelt Continuous Prayer made unto the Lord God Almighty on behalf of others. Whenever you intercede, you do so for others, but whenever you petition, you do so for yourself. Intercession involves standing in the gap between God and men to supplicate and ask of things on the behalf of the people on whose behalf you are interceding. It takes the Prayer of Intercession to change the course of history by either moving God to intervene or by influencing men's wills to align with God's Plan for their lives.

The Prayer of Intercession is what the Lord Jesus is currently doing for us in Heaven (Heb.7:25). With the Prayer of Intercession, Mercy is obtained to avert Divine Judgment (Ezek. 22:30). Through the Prayer of Intercession, Peace and Godliness are enthroned in a society (1Tim. 2:1-2) and Spiritual Transformation is achieved in the lives of Baby Christians and young believers (Gal. 4:19). It is not enough to legislate Laws to guide conduct or to instruct people in Godliness because without the Prayer of Intercession, the human heart would be difficult to convert, and Transformation would be difficult to achieve.

We normally use the acronym "P.U.S.H" (Pray Until Something Happens) when describing the Basic Principle guiding the Prayer of Intercession. The Epistle of James describes it thus perfectly:  "The Earnest (Heartfelt, Continued) Prayer of a Righteous man makes Tremendous Power available [Dynamic in its working]" Jam. 5:16b(AMPC). It is Heartfelt because you need to have a Burden for the people for whom you are praying. It is Continuous because you need to keep praying until you achieve the desired result. The result is Powerful enough to change lives and alter the entire course of history.

PRAYER: Father God, we thank You for the privilege You have given to us as Your people to stand in the gap for our families and nation, and obtain things from You on their behalf. O Lord, please give us a Burden for the people we need to make intercession for so that we may pray earnestly in order to obtain the results You desire in Jesus' Mighty Name we pray. Amen.
