Joseph Prince - Wisdom For Holy Living. This might surprise you, but holiness isn’t about following a set of rules. In Hebrew, the word “holy” simply means "uncommon.” In a world filled with uncertainty and fear, being holy is to live with confidence and hope in Christ. Where insecurity and depression are on the rise, being holy is to walk in God’s peace and stability.

Take this journey with Joseph Prince to discover how:

  • - God has set you apart to live an uncommon life for His glory
  • - Wisdom from His Word will equip you to walk in strength and victory in a dark and fallen world
  • - You can walk more and more in this game-changing wisdom

Whether you’re an employee, a homemaker, or a student, you’re a child of God—called to be a testimony of His goodness!

Read Daily Devotional (December-18-2023) Be Holy.

Scripture Reference: 1 Peter 1:13-16 - “So think clearly and exercise self-control. Look forward to the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world. So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. For the Scriptures say, ‘You must be holy because I am holy.”

Holiness is a difficult subject to grasp. The Pharisees felt they knew what it was but fell short of what Christ came to teach. They thought they were Holy by obeying the Old Testament law and all the hundreds of laws they created. Instead, Christ came to earth to die, so we could substitute His death for our sins. This is salvation. Once we accept the gift of salvation we become holy in the sight of God. We are born again as His children. As children we are motivated to live in accordance to our Father’s wishes. We live to please Him who gave Himself for us. Peter says we should live as obedient children. Le Ann Payne in her book “Listening Prayer” writes, “Only in union with Him, listening to Him and carrying out His orders, are we holy. – Those who treasure holiness and produce its fruits are the poor in spirit, the humble of the earth. They are fond of the Jesus Prayer. In one way or another they pray it over and over: ‘Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner.’ They are quick to acknowledge their pride and lack of humility, repenting of it daily. – Holiness is both a quality we are given and a way. It is the way of remaining in Christ, of walking in the presence of God.” Peter tells us to think clearly and exercise self control like obedient children, not slipping back into our old ways. This comes from a relationship with God through scriptures, meditation, prayer and fellowship. Pray and ask God to reveal to you how you can live your life more holy today.

Prayer - Father, thank You for Your provision of salvation. I accept this gift and desire to live more for You. I desire to be holy and pray for wisdom and strength to be what You want me to be. In Jesus Name. AMEN

Joyce Meyer - Sermon: The Help of the Holy Spirit

Joyce Meyer (June-20-2022) Daily Devotional: Living a Holy Life by Following Peace

This is a special day because it is one in which we have an opportunity to grow in holy behavior. We grow in holiness as we fellowship with God and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, not as we work hard to follow religious rules and regulations. Spiritual disciplines are important, but we should avoid letting them become laws. For example, it is good to read and study God’s Word as often as possible, but there is no law that says if you miss a day that God is mad at you or disappointed in you.

The way to grow in holiness is simple—just be committed to following peace. If you have peace about your thoughts, words, and behaviors, then continue in them, but if you sense an uncomfortable feeling in your spirit, or a lack of peace, it may well be a nudge from the Holy Spirit that your action isn’t what it should be. The more you follow God’s lead, the happier you will be. When God gives us another day to live, it is a valuable gift, and one that should be used for His glory and honor.

Prayer Starter: Father, thank You that today I can grow in holiness. I ask You to help me sense what You approve of and what You do not approve of, and to live accordingly. Amen.
