Joseph Prince - Wisdom For Holy Living. This might surprise you, but holiness isn’t about following a set of rules. In Hebrew, the word “holy” simply means "uncommon.” In a world filled with uncertainty and fear, being holy is to live with confidence and hope in Christ. Where insecurity and depression are on the rise, being holy is to walk in God’s peace and stability.

Take this journey with Joseph Prince to discover how:

  • - God has set you apart to live an uncommon life for His glory
  • - Wisdom from His Word will equip you to walk in strength and victory in a dark and fallen world
  • - You can walk more and more in this game-changing wisdom

Whether you’re an employee, a homemaker, or a student, you’re a child of God—called to be a testimony of His goodness!

David Jeremiah (March-03-2024) Daily Devotional: Time and Wisdom - Turning Point.

Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them. - Psalm 139:16

Recommended Reading: Acts 16:6-10 - THE MACEDONIAN CALL - 6 Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia. 7 After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them. 8 So passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas. 9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 10 Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them.

The longest and most detailed illustration of a confused soul in the Bible is the story of Job. At the beginning of his story all was well. Then everything fell apart in his life—he lost it all. Then he spent 37 chapters dialoguing with friends about what had happened. Then at the end of his story he listened to the wisdom of God, and his eyes were opened (and his life restored). Two things made a difference: time and listening to God.

Who among us does not encounter and experience things we don’t understand? It happens often—sometimes daily. Waiting (time) doesn’t mean passivity; it means active faith in God’s purposes and plans. It means walking by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). The active part of waiting is seeking God for wisdom and understanding.

God knows our future even before we take the steps that lead us there. Indeed, “the Lord directs [our] steps” (Proverbs 16:9). If you experience confusion, patiently seek the Lord and trust that He is working out His plans for you.

God’s purposes always have God’s provision. - John Blanchard

Daily Devotional (January-12-2024) WISDOM DISPLAYED.

Scripture Reference: “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.” (Matthew 7:24-27)

Our Lord Jesus says hearing his word and obeying it is like wisely building your house on the rock. Rain, floods and wind will all come against that house, and it will stand.

My dear, Jesus then says hearing his word and NOT obeying it is like foolishly building your house on the sand. Rain, floods and wind will all come against that house, and it will fall, a great fall.

Both the one who obeys God’s word and the one who disobeys God’s word will have rain, floods and wind happening to them. You will have rain, floods and wind happening to you, yes, you.

Rain, floods and wind are the three testers of life. They are the storms, challenges, surprises, hurts, failures, disappointments, heartbreaks, failed investments, betrayals, loss, death, etc.

Rain, floods and wind do not mean you are living in sin or disobedience.

Rain, floods and wind do not mean God dislikes you, has abandoned you or is punishing you.

Rain, floods and wind will test whatever you are building or doing. Obeying God’s word is your best preparation against the three testers. Be more devoted to obedience from now. It’s wiser.

PRAYER - Thank you Lord for this great wisdom which is my guide. I receive counsel everyday for my life in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

Wisdom Has No Adversary - Bill Johnson Sermon.  Bill Johnson continues his series on The Beauty of Wisdom, and teaches from the life of Solomon. Under Solomon’s reign, Israel came into a time in which Solomon described as having no adversary, nor any evil occurrence. Is it possible to come to such a place in God that we have no enemy? There is a place available to us in God’s Presence where we live ‘above the snake line’, safe from the voice of the enemy and his accusations and distractions. This is the fourth sermon in Bill Johnson’s series, The Beauty of Wisdom. Subscribe for the full series.

Watch Bill Johnson Devotional - The Passionate Pursuit of Wisdom. Bill Johnson talks about the passionate pursuit of wisdom in Session 5 of The Pursuit of Wisdom devotional series. We have been invited into a privileged journey to discover the wisdom of God and His mysteries. He longs to reveal Himself and His ways to us, and when we passionately pursue Him, He will not hold back wisdom and understanding from us. Many times we become weighed down by the problems and worries of this world, but God is wanting to remind us of the the beauty and delight of discovering Him and walking in His ways.
