  Thank you ladies for sharing this delicate conversation. I have watched this programme before a year or so ago but did not hear what I did today. I am a single woman and have never married (not through choice) however Joyce said God put these desires in all of us. I have wondered, more since becoming a Christian 14 years ago, how this relates to single people. I remember once in a hospital group setting when I was young being told our bodies are to be enjoyed yet when having a discussion several years ago with a mature Christian, in regard to sadly cases where men of the cloth (so to speak) have abused children, she said if they were allowed to marry (priests) that wouldn’t happen. I didn’t agree with what she said but did say there was no need to carry out these horrendous acts when they could perhaps (awkward to say) masturbate. She said this was a sin too. Is this true? I guess what I am asking is that we know the flesh is weak and self control difficult at times so when single people have these desires (which as mentioned above Joyce says God puts in all of us) what is appropriate for them/us?

  I am a 73 year old female. I have met a very nice man of my age. We are discussing becoming intimate. I never want to marry again. Is intimacy regarded as a sin in this situation?

  Thank you Joyce for talking about this subject. A very important subject to examine. And, Ginger thank you for being so open about the problem in your marriage many years ago. This seems to be such a common problem and not talked about. You and your husband are very brave and strong. I wish you well.
