Sermon Give Up - Joyce Meyer - Enjoying Everyday Life by Online.
In this Sermon Joyce Mayer says: And when you follow Christ there's a lot of privileges that you get that everybody else won't get but there's also some sacrifices that we will need to make in order to fully please God and fully follow Him. Amen?
So I'll leave that with you for homework.
I know I'm probably making you guys kinda nervous but well not really you kinda knew what you get when you came.
That you may walk, live and conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him and desiring to please Him in all things. First Thessalonians chapter 2 verse 4;
But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the glad tidings of the Gospel so we speak not to please men but to please God. I have to tell you that to the very best of my ability when I come up here,
I do believe that I say whatever God puts in my mouth and probably sometimes that's why it's a bit like...
See I started in the beginning watching the people that didn't look real good.
People who decided to leave, people who are looking at their watches, people that were yawning.
You know if I come with my own message I can put everybody to sleep.
But I really believe that we will not not a belligerent obnoxious kind of way but just to start making a commitment to...
I can almost feel you guys thinking, "Oh my God what does this mean for my life?"
See it's really kinda sad when you get right down to it that that we could sit here tonight and say I know I'm doing things that doesn't please God.
Aren't you glad you came tonight? Because see here's the thing. The reason why I'm bold enough to say this is because the more we please God the happier we are.
It's like yes you may give up something on the fleshly side but you get something in the spiritual side of your life. And I do believe that, I think the higher that we come up spiritually there's always a little bit more of our
flesh that has to go to the Cross. And it is a process. We're always making decisions, our path getting narrower and narrower and narrower.
And for whatever God sent you for here tonight, tonight He's trying to narrow it up a little bit more.
But it's not to take anything away from anybody it's to give you what you've been asking for.
"Where's my joy?" "I want more peace." I know, man been there done that. Went around those mountains a million times. Give It Up! - Joyce Meyer - Enjoying Everyday Life
