Daily Devotional (March 18, 2024) SLAVES TO RIGHTEOUSNESS - Part 2.

Scripture Reference: Romans 6:18 - “Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.”

If we celebrate the freedom of being owned by Christ, we must also celebrate the chains that come with being owned by Christ. If we celebrate the power of His resurrection, we must celebrate the fellowship of His sufferings (See Philippians 3:10). He has freed us from something to make us bound to something. He has saved us from the dominion and authority of sin to be under the authority of righteousness. We have not only been saved from the consequences of sin, but from the dominion of it.

We must not only be excited about the blessings of our new life, we must also embrace the responsibilities that come with them. As we celebrate that we have been made holy in Christ, we must also embrace the confines that come with holiness. We must accept that with the gift of holiness comes the pertinence to not roll in the mud and get ourselves stained. We must accept that with the gift of ownership by the Spirit comes the pertinence of consecration. If the Holy Ghost is the occupant of our bodies, we must understand that we are hallowed ground and therefore live as such.

Ultimately, we are all slaves, either to Christ or another authority. (Romans 6:16). Christianity is fellowship with dictates. Christianity is accepting to live by new dictates. As we enjoy the pros of this new life, we must not evade the dictates that come with it. We are all ultimately under an authority; Whether Christ's or the world's

DECLARE THIS: I am a bondservant of Christ, sold out to His will and purposes. I live with the consciousness of the Lordship of Jesus over me. Glory!

Daily Devotional (March 17, 2024) SLAVES TO RIGHTEOUSNESS - Part 1.

Scripture Reference: Romans 1:1 - Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God.

The way Apostle Paul chooses to introduce himself to us is very interesting and noteworthy. Let's see our text. It says, "Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,. Paul chooses to introduce himself by letting us know his relationship with Jesus. He chooses to let us know that the most noteworthy thing about him is that he is a slave to Christ. He brings to our attention that he is under a rulership and authority. He doesn't present to us just the blessings that come with a new identity, he shows us the responsibilities as well.

To be a (bond)servant is to have a master. A servant has no control over his/her life from the moment he/she is bought by a master. The master dictates what the slave does, wears, eats, sleeps and wakes. The master essentially owns the slave and can do as he pleases with that slave. This is the implication of being a slave, and this is what Paul says he is. He says he has a Lord, and he is owned by that Lord, therefore the Lord has the right to dictate (not suggest) how he lives. This is important to understand. We are bondservants of Jesus. The implication of this is that we have signed over the rights to our lives. We have given Christ the right to own us and lord over us. To control our thinking, eating, speaking, dressing, relationships and associations, and conduct. He is now Lord and master. The one to whom we owe all allegiance. The one to whom we owe our prompt and unflinching obedience. The one to whom we owe the entirety of our lives.

Scripture tells us that we have been bought with a price (See 1 Corinthians 6:20). Once you sell an item, you no longer have a claim over that thing. You can no longer decide what happens with it, because it is no longer yours. Jesus bought us with His blood from sin and satan, but very importantly, he also bought us from self. He bought you from you, therefore you are no longer your own (See 1 Corinthians 3:23). You can no longer live as you please, because you are under a ruler and master. This must change everything. We must live to please our master. We must live to obey Him, because if He bought us, then He has full rights to us. Christ bought us not to be free wanderers, but to be under His Lordship. You have a master, so live like it. Live with the consciousness of Jesus Christ as your Lord. When Christ bought us with His blood, He also bought us from self.

We do not belong to ourselves.

DECLARE THIS: I have been bought by the blood of Jesus, therefore I am no longer my own. Jesus is my Lord and master, and I live with this consciousness. Glory!

Joseph Prince (March-06-2024) Daily Devotion: BE ESTABLISHED IN GOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Isaiah 54:14 - In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you.

Have you ever asked yourself why some Christians are constantly beset with overwhelming challenges, sicknesses and defeat if God’s promise, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17), is true?

Well, this promise comes with a condition—“In righteousness you shall be established.” When you are established in righteousness, you will be far from oppression and terror, and not a single weapon formed against you will prosper!

This condition is not hard to meet. For a start, you already have righteousness! When you received Jesus as your Savior, you received the gift of righteousness which enables you to reign in life (see Romans 5:17). This righteousness does not come from you but the Lord (see Isaiah 54:17). And when you are established in His righteousness, no weapon formed against you will prosper.

But what does being established in righteousness mean? To be established in something is to have that something as your very foundation for security. So God wants you to know, be sure of and grow in the revelation that you are righteous by the blood of Jesus, by His perfect sacrifice at the cross.

When you feel as if you are in a storm, tossed here and there, and you begin to experience worry and fear, remind yourself of who you are in Christ. You are the righteousness of God in Christ and you have His righteousness!

As you do this, you will begin to notice the worry and fear slide off you, for when you are established in righteousness, “you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you”! That is why God wants you to be established in righteousness. He wants you to be free from fear, and far from oppression and terror.

So when the pressure is on, hold fast to the belief that you are the righteousness of God in Christ. That is where no weapon formed against you can prosper. As you keep believing and confessing your righteousness in Christ, revelation will break forth and you will experience the release of God’s miraculous provision, divine protection and blessings into your life!

The Importance of UNDERSTANDING Righteous - Creflo Dollar Daily Sermon (February 29, 2024). THE FOUNDATION OF LIFE

Watch Abundant Life with Pastor John Hagee - Righteousness Brings Peace. The price for world peace is world righteousness; America needs a righteous revolution. It starts with you, the individual. In this age, we need to heed the advice of Jesus, who said: "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." (Matthew 6:33).

David Jeremiah (January-14-2024) Daily Devotional: The Best From Psalm 23: Paths of Righteousness.

He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. - Psalm 23:3

Recommended Reading: John 10:1-6 - JESUS THE TRUE SHEPHERD
10 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” 6 Jesus used this illustration, but they did not understand the things which He spoke to them.

This simple sentence contains two astounding facts.

First, the Lord guides us in the right paths, knows how to direct us, and shows us the decisions that are best. Just as a shepherd goes before his flock, so the Lord goes before you. He prepares the future for you, and He leads you into opportunities He has arranged. It’s like the old hymn says: “He leadeth me, He leadeth me; by His own hand He leadeth me: His faithful follower I would be, for by His hand He leadeth me.”

Second, He leads us for the sake of His own glory—for His own Name’s sake. Yes, He wants what is best for us, but He intends to gain glory for Himself in the process. He doesn’t lead us to glorify us—but to glorify Himself!

What does this mean for us in practical terms? It means we should offer our total lives to God, seek His guidance in every decision, and use every opportunity to serve Him—giving Him all the glory.

To believers, the Twenty-third Psalm is to live a life of victory, a life of joy and peace, a life triumphant in prayer, in Bible study, in service. - Robert C. McQuilkin

Joyce Meyer (January-04-2024) Daily Devotional: Righteousness and Peace.

I love today’s scripture because it teaches us that in order to have God’s mercy, we must face truth, and that peace only comes from understanding righteousness with God. Jesus says that if we continue in His Word, then we will know the truth and it will set us free (see John 8:32). Some people avoid the truth because it is often painful to face. However, it is the only thing that makes us free. Once we face truth, we can ask for and receive God’s mercy.

In order to have peace with God, we must understand what it means to be in right standing with God through faith in Christ. When we know we are made right with God and that He loves and accepts us, we can have and enjoy peace with Him. If we don’t have peace with Him, we cannot enjoy peace with ourselves or with other people.

Jesus, who was perfect and knew no sin, became sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in Christ (see 2 Corinthians 5:21). Receive your right standing with God through faith, and it will be life changing. You need not always feel that something is wrong with you, because God sees you as right through your faith in Jesus. We don’t do everything right, but God’s righteousness has been given to us as a gift, and the more we believe it, the more our actions will be right also.

Prayer of the Day: Father, thank You for mercy, righteousness, and peace. These are wonderful blessings from You, and I appreciate them and want to walk in them fully. Teach me to receive and enjoy the gifts You have given to me.
