TD Jakes (March 25, 2024) Daily Devotional: The Spirit of a Master Builder.

Bible Quote: "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." - Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)

Oh, beloved, I feel the fire of determination in this message today! You, yes you, are a master builder, echoing the very essence of God’s creative power. The Lord did not just form you; He sculpted you with a divine purpose in mind, instilling in you the capacity to build, to create, to uplift not just your life but those around you.

You see, when God breathed life into you, He infused you with the ability to transform visions into reality, to turn challenges into stepping stones, and to mold the raw materials of your circumstances into masterpieces of His grace. Your hands, blessed by the Almighty, are tools for construction - to build homes that shelter love and faith, to nurture relationships that withstand the storms of life, and to forge communities that stand as beacons of hope and unity.

Let the spirit of Nehemiah inspire you. Just as he rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem with old stones, you too are called to rebuild. Take the remnants of your trials, the lessons from your struggles, and build anew. Each stone of experience, each block of wisdom, laid with prayer and faith, will erect a testament to God's unending faithfulness and your resilience as a master builder.

Embrace this divine assignment with joy, knowing that with God as your architect and His Word as your blueprint, there is nothing you cannot build. Whether it's mending a broken heart, restoring faith where doubt had taken root, or establishing a legacy of righteousness for generations to come, you are equipped. You are capable. You are a master builder.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, Creator of all and the ultimate Master Builder, empower us today with Your Holy Spirit. Grant us the strength, wisdom, and vision to build as You have called us to build. May every effort of our hands glorify You and edify those around us. Help us to see the opportunities in our challenges and to use them as the foundation for growth and testimony to Your greatness. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

Charles Stanley (March-19-2024) Daily Devotional: Welcome the Spirit.

How will you connect with God today?

Imagine that your friends invite you over for dinner one evening. But when you arrive, you find they haven’t set a place for you at the table. It can make for an awkward, disorienting situation. In a way, that’s what it’s like when we say we want to be closer to God but don’t take any steps toward welcoming Him into our daily life.

The good news is that acting on our intentions doesn’t require us to dive into theological study or travel the world in God’s service. Simple spiritual practices—embraced by centuries of believers—are enough to help us experience a richer life in Christ: worship, prayer, meditating on Scripture, and fasting from certain foods or beverages. Integrating each of these things, even if practiced in only brief or small ways, makes space for the Holy Spirit to work in us.

Remember, you’re not responsible for the transformation any more than a farmer is responsible for the sun and rain (John 15:5 - ``I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing). Your job, like the soil’s, is to remain ready to receive.

Think about it

• What are some ways you can increase your connection points with God throughout the day? Are there any missed opportunities?

Christian Motivation - If We Could See Into The Spirit World This Is What We Would See

Joel Osteen (March 17, 2024) Daily Devotional: Walk by the Spirit.

Today's Scripture: Galatians 5:16–17, NIV - So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.

Today's Word: Your choices are never free from the inner conflict of the flesh and the Spirit. You have to know that this is a battle that will never go away. You can be a believer who has matured for fifty years, but you will still have to deal with the flesh, the carnal nature that basically tells you to live and do whatever you feel. You don’t overcome it one time and it’s defeated. It will come back again and again. You have to get skilled at saying, “No, I’m not going to let my flesh have what it wants. I’m not going to let my guard down and give in.”

Are you winning the war within? Are you living by the Spirit, making decisions that honor God? Or are you letting the flesh win, doing whatever you feel? You need to take the flesh off the throne. Quit letting it determine your decisions and dictate how you live, respond, and handle adversity. Start walking by the Spirit, taking the high road, and doing the right thing when it’s hard.

Prayer for Today: “Father, thank You that I can choose to be disciplined and to say no to the flesh and its desires. Thank You that every day I can take my feelings off the throne and allow Your Spirit to control my life. Help me to walk by the Spirit and do what’s right. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
