Steven Furtick

Steven Furtick - the founder and lead pastor of Elevation Church.

Elevation Church was founded by Steven Furtick in 2006 in Charlotte, NC. And now, it is in top 10 most intensively growing churches. Initially, it consisted mainly of young people under the age of 32 years. However, soon, parents of the youth began to come to church, and then people from 40 and over. Now Elevation Church is a church that unites a variety of Christians from schoolchildren to people of age. But by age classification remains one of the youngest and largest churches.

Steven Furtick, his wife, Holly and their three children: Elijah, Graham, and Abbey live in Waxhaw, North Carolina, a suburb of Charlotte. As the father of three active children, Steven Furtick pays a lot of attention to his family, and often brings up serious topics in sermons related to the right relationships of parents and children, as well as influence of God on the lives of each family.

The main purpose of Steven Furtick and Elevation Church is the salvation of people that are far from God and the glorification of Jesus Christ.

Steven Furtick (July-31-2020) Watch Sermon: You're Still On Schedule.

The seed you’ve planted is still on schedule.

If you feel like you’ve been stuck in uncertainty, disappointment, or doubt… God hasn’t forgotten you. You’re still on schedule –– and if you needed that reminder today, this message from Pastor Steven Furtick is for you.

Don't Count Yourself Out Just Yet - Steven Furtick Motivation (July-29-2020). ISAIAH 43:19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

Clearing Out Your Mind - Steven Furtick (July-28-2020). God wants to do a new thing in your life –– but you may have to make room for it. In “Clearing Out Your Mind,” Pastor Steven Furtick reveals how, by holding onto the way things used to be, we may be limiting what God wants to do next.

You Will Find What You Look For - Steven Furtick Motivation (July-27-2020). PROVERBS 16:24 "Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones."

Steven Furtick (July-25-2020) Message: The God of the Plot Twist. On TBN's special, Fearless, hosted by @Max Lucado, Pastor Steven Furtick discusses what to do when life feels like a giant setback. He encourages, "don't stop believing" because we have a God of a PLOT TWIST.

Why You Need The Spirit of God  - Steven Furtick (July-24-2020). When you let the enemy interpret what’s going on in your life, you’ll always be at a deficit. The enemy will put your good news in a negative light. He’ll make you see your future through your flaws. He’ll have you look at your whole life through the lens of one situation. That’s why we need the Spirit of God: because when God is your interpreter, your story looks a whole lot different. He sees the negative parts of your story and knows that you’re just getting started.

He knows you — your flaws and your strengths - Steven Furtick Motivation (July-24-2020). JEREMIAH 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

Steven Furtick (July-22-2020) Motivation: Where Is Your Anger Coming From?

Steven Furtick (July-21-2020) Watch Sermon: It’s Time To Stop Running.

The season you’re in right now is significant. But when it feels like life isn’t going the way you’d hoped, it’s easy to run from it.

In “It’s Time To Stop Running,” Pastor Steven Furtick encourages us with this timely reminder: God’s working through the season that you’re in.

The time you have now is significant –– but for God to work through it, you can’t run from it.

Steven Furtick (August-02-2020) Sunday Sermon: Take The Lid Off A Little

You may not feel like you have enough, but God can do a lot with a little.

In “Take The Lid Off A Little,” Pastor Steven Furtick turns to the story of the prophet Elijah during a time of famine to show us how God isn’t limited by “not enough.” When what you have feels insufficient, God may be getting ready to reveal just how sufficient He is.Section Titles

Jesus works in the unexpected - Steven Furtick Motivation (July-20-2020). PSALM 118:24 "The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad."

Pastor Steven Furtick (July-18-2020) Fear or Faith: One Has To Win . It's a showdown between what you feel and what God spoke. And the winner is determined by your focus.

Steven Furtick (July-18-2020) Sermon: Sit with Jesus and Be Filled. On TBN's special, Fearless, hosted by Max Lucado, Pastor Steven Furtick discusses what to do when you're weary from waiting. If you've been in a long waiting season, listen in as Steven Furtick encourages, "sit with Jesus and be filled."

Steven Furtick (July-17-2020) Sermon: Do You Feel Empty Inside?

It’s easy to feel empty –– but even easier to try to fill up in the wrong places.

In this message, Pastor Steven Furtick turns to the woman at the well (John 4) to remind us that, when we’re thirsty, God is the living water. When we’re hungry, He is the bread of life.

When we feel empty, He can fill us.

The Victory Is Already Yours - Steven Furtick Motivation (July-17-2020). PSALM 59:9-10 "You are my strength, I watch for you; you, God, are my fortress, my God on whom I can rely."

Pastor Steven Furtick (July-16-2020) Go 4 Broke.

Don't be afraid to pour out your love- Steven Furtick Motivation (July-15-2020). 2 KINGS 4:3-4 Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few. Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.”

For Those Under Attack - Steven Furtick (July-14-2020). Everyone is facing something; whether that’s a battle that blindsided you or something you’ve been fighting for 30 years. You might not know how to get through it or how to find hope in the middle of it, but we’ve got good news: in Christ, you have the upper hand. In this message, Pastor Steven Furtick encourages us in the middle of the fight. The battle you’re facing is the Lord’s. And if God is for you, who can be against you?

Is God Calling? - Steven Furtick Motivation (July-14-2020). 1 Samuel 3:2-5 "One night Eli, whose eyes were becoming so weak that he could barely see, was lying down in his usual place. The lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down in the house of the Lord, where the ark of God was. Then the Lord called Samuel. Samuel answered, “Here I am.” And he ran to Eli and said, “Here I am; you called me.”

Some of the things that have happened in your life that you don't understand... It was God stirring you up, but it was Eli you ran to. You ran to the thing you were familiar with because it’s what you understood.
God gave you a gift, but you used that gift for you for a little while until you found out that, “Unless I offer the gift back to the Giver, it’s going to come back empty.”  God wants to let you know, “That was my voice calling you. That was me who gave you that talent. That was me who opened the door for you. That was me who gave you that responsibility. That was me who gave you strength. That was me who gave you that connection.” It was Him the whole time. It was the Lord who called Samuel, but it was Eli who Samuel ran to. What are you running to?  From the sermon, “I'm Confused About My Calling”.

He's With You In The Process - Steven Furtick Motivation (July-13-2020). MATTHEW 28:19-20 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Troubled by the "WHY" of your storm? Steven Furtick encourages, "tell God about your troubles."

Why Is This Taking So Long? - Steven Furtick (July-10-2020). It’s frustrating when life feels unfruitful; when you’ve put in time and effort, but nothing seems to come of your hard work.

It might not be much, but it's not nothing! - Steven Furtick Motivation (July-10-2020). 2 KINGS 4:2 Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?” “Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.”

Pastor Steven Furtick (July-09-2020) Tired On The Inside | Elevation Church. “I’m tired.” Have you said that lately? When you’re tired on the inside, it’s all too easy to feel drained, overwhelmed, and like nothing is going to change.

Steven Furtick (July-07-2020) Sermon: God Knows What's In You.

What people meant for evil, God can turn for good. Get ready for a plot twist.

In this message, Pastor Steven Furtick turns to the story of Joseph to show us that, when we think we know how our story will end, God moves beyond what we could ask or imagine.

When Joseph was betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, and falsely imprisoned, he thought he knew how his story would end. But God came in with a plot twist: Joseph became the king’s right hand man and saved their entire nation from famine.

God takes hopeless situations and does the unexpected; He’s the God of the plot twist.

When you feel weak... - Steven Furtick Motivation (July-06-2020). PSALM 142:5 “I cry to you, Lord; I say, 'You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.'"

Don't Reject God's Plan - Steven Furtick (July-03-2020). God wants you. But in a world that values fame and power over purpose, it’s easy to feel like we’re not doing enough or making a big enough impact.

Pastor Steven Furtick (July-02-2020)  [POWERFULL MESSAGE] Hammer Time .

Steven Furtick (July-02-2020) Motivation: Flip Your Mindset.

Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen and understand. What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them.”

Then the disciples came to him and asked, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?”

Matthew 15:10-12

I challenge you to flip it this year.
It’s so easy to live with an invisible belief system that regulates your responses in situations –– and even your ideas of what is possible in your life. An unquestioned belief system is a dangerous thing.

These verses are significant because the Pharisees are worrying about the traditions of the elders, but Jesus is talking about the command of God. One is tradition; one is truth.

A lot of times we don’t know the difference. For some of us, we give more attention to our traditions than we do to God’s truth –– but we need to flip it.

I’ll give you an example: Sometimes, in my life, ways of thinking have been handed down to me, not necessarily by my parents, but by the culture I live in. And I never stop to question, “Where did this come from?”

To flip it, we need to ask ourselves: “Where did this come from? Is this really from God?”

Steven Furtick (June-30-2020) Watch Sermon: Emotional Exhaustion.

This one’s for anyone who’s been tired lately.

Not physically tired, but exhausted on the inside.
Maybe it’s because you’ve been through a lot this year or your routine has you drained. Maybe you’ve been fighting against something or have spent all your energy in the wrong places.

No matter what the “why” is, it’s time to find rest. In this message, Pastor Steven Furtick teaches how rest can be powerful, but only if we’re looking for it in the right places.

Steven Furtick (June-29-2020) Motivation: The True Reality of Comparison

Steven Furtick's Heresy (June-27-2020) God Broke the Law.

Steven Furtick (June-26-2020) Sermon: The Weight of Comparison.

How do you measure success? The world has its own idea of what success should look like, but if you compare yourself to it, you’ll come up short every time.

By looking at an example in 1 Samuel 16, Pastor Steven Furtick shares how Samuel tried to choose a king using the world’s standards. However, Verse 7 told him, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Through this teaching, we will learn to measure ourselves God’s way and see what He put in each one of us.

Pastor Steven Furtick (June-25-2020) Plot Twist | Elevation Church. Broken plans? Unmet expectations? Get ready for a plot twist. In this sermon, Pastor Steven Furtick turns to John 4 to show us that, when we think we know how our story will end, God moves beyond what we could ask or imagine. He turned the ostracized woman at the well into a messenger to her people. He turned Joseph, the son sold into slavery, into the savior of countless lives. Out of Jacob’s mistakes, He produced the nation of Israel.

Watch Steven Furtick Ministries (July-05-2020) Sunday Sermon: Across The Threshold | Pastor Jeremy Foster.

There’s a promise on the other side of your pain. There’s hope on the other side of your heartache. Whatever you’re going through, God is just getting started.

In “Across The Threshold,” Pastor Jeremy Foster of Hope City helps us as we step away from the safety of provision and out into the promise of God. God has a plan for you, but that doesn’t mean the journey is always going to be easy.

Are you ready to move forward?

Watch Steven Furtick Ministries (June-28-2020) Sunday Sermon: Hope Is In Our DNA | Lisa Harper. Hope isn’t always easy to hold on to — especially in overwhelming or difficult seasons. In “Hope Is In Our DNA,” Lisa Harper teaches on some of the most “hopeless” passages in the Bible — only to show that hope is often where we least expect it. From the Garden of Eden to King David to Jesus Himself, Lisa reveals how, just when you think nothing can change, God can change everything. And when things seem dark and we feel alone and we’re not sure how things are ever going to get better... He is there with restoration, redemption, and hope.

Steven Furtick (June-24-2020) Motivation: You Are Forgiven.

2 Corinthians 5:17-18 - “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation..."

Steven Furtick (June-23-2020) Watch Online Sermon: Your Appointment In The Storm.

Have you been going through something lately? None of us are exempt from the storms life sends our way, but it’s not always clear what we should do in the face of them.

In this message, Pastor Steven Furtick shows us what it looks like, not only to face a storm, but to keep our hope in the middle of it. In Acts 27, the apostle Paul’s boat was stuck in a storm so vicious that many of the men on board, “...finally gave up all hope of being saved.”

But just because things looked bleak and just because it was hard and just because they thought it was all over, doesn’t mean God abandoned them. Someone on that ship had a promise from God. They were going to survive.

Like Paul, you have a promise from God and this is not how your story ends. You’re going to make it to shore, it just might not be in the way you expected.

Are You Getting Closer to God? - Steven Furtick (June-19-2020). It’s easy to feel like we’re not where we need to be or that we should be farther along by now. But what if you’re exactly where God positioned you to be? Pastor Steven Furtick uses Luke 24 verses 31-33 to show us that God will meet us in the middle of whatever we’re going though. He’s not waiting on your perfection or for you to get your life together. He will meet you in the middle of your mistakes, the middle of your pain, and the middle of your darkest night. THAT’s where God will show up.

Grace is on the way! - Steven Furtick Motivation (June-17-2020). PHILIPPIANS 3:8 “What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ."

Steven Furtick (June-16-2020) Sermon: Making Sense of Life's Disappointments.

It’s hard to make sense of what’s going on in the world right now. Many of us have begun to ask: why? God, why is this happening? Why are we experiencing this? As Pastor Steven Furtick shares through Acts 8, Paul shows us what it looks like to move forward in moments where it doesn’t make sense. God doesn't tell Paul a whole series of explanations for why he faced a shipwreck or was bitten by a snake. He doesn't give him a reason; He gives him a revelation.

Since Paul had already received the revelation that God wanted him to go to Rome, a shipwreck and snake bite can’t stop him. You have to learn how to operate by revelation in your own life and find the opportunity God has waiting for you on the other side of the attack.

Steven Furtick (June-15-2020) Motivation: God Wants To Show You What He Can Do.

Isaiah 54:2.  “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes."

Steven Furtick (June-13-2020) God Won't Let It Go To Waste.  When you put your full heart into someone or something and it doesn’t work out the way you hoped, you can find yourself asking, “Was it a waste?” This season has left many of us wondering if we’ve wasted time, or missed opportunities. Pastor Steven Furtick shares in the sermon, Flex Space, that even if it were to take our whole lives to make sense of certain things, we can trust that God won’t let it go to waste.

Steven Furtick (June-12-2020) Sermon: God, Help Me See The Supply.

God is a good God and He always meets our needs, but He may not provide in the same way every time. A lot of things are going to look different now, including how our needs are met. God may not provide for you the way He did 3 months ago. Pastor Steven Furtick shares from Joshua 5 about the Israelites who spent 40 years in the wilderness and were accustomed to receiving manna from heaven. But manna doesn’t last forever - “New season means new supply.”

The provision of God is to give you what you need for the season you are in. “Have you ever shown up to a place where there has been provision for so long that you took it for granted, and now it's not there? Sometimes it takes somebody dying in our lives before we appreciate what they brought. Sometimes it takes losing a job to appreciate employment.”

God is going to supply all of your needs according to His riches. He knows what you really need, will you allow this message to encourage you as you trust in Him?

Pastor Steven Furtick (June-11-2020) Fixing Your Relationships. What have you been focusing on in your relationships? Here's one tool that can help you see your relationship problems from a new angle.

Steven Furtick (June-09-2020) Sermon: You Don’t Have To Hide.

We all say, “I want to get back to normal,” but what normal are we talking about? Are we talking about getting back to hiding behind personas and pretending to be something we’re not? For many of us “normal” isn’t necessarily God’s best for us. Pastor Steven Furtick shares from Genesis 3 where God created Adam and Eve to be unashamed of who they were. They felt no need to hide because they felt no shame.

But after being told lies by the enemy they ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Their eyes were opened to the ugliness of sin and shame. Their response was the same as yours and mine -- they hid from themselves and from God.

As Pastor Steven says in the message, Focus On The Fruit, you have to stop and ask yourself the question: who told you that? We pray this message helps you to stop hiding and focus on what really matters -- who God created you to be.

Steven Furtick (June-21-2020) Sunday Sermon: Plot Twist.

He doesn’t meet our expectations; He exceeds them.

Watch Pastor Robert Madu (June-14-2020) Sunday Sermon: Living In The Tension.

When the pressure is on and emotions are high, we each have a choice in how we respond. In “Living In The Tension,” Pastor Robert Madu teaches on the art of empathy and reveals the necessity of living in both grace and truth — regardless of circumstances.

Pastor Robert addresses this challenge by taking a look at a scene in the Gospel of John. When a crowd of onlookers wanted to stone a woman, Jesus showed empathy, saw beyond her sin, and offered her grace.

God knows what you’ve done, knows what you’re going through, and still has grace for you. You don’t have to live in shame. He came so you can live in freedom — and offer it to others in turn.

How Strong Is Your Faith? - Steven Furtick Motivation (June-08-2020). MATTHEW 6:6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Tired On The Inside - Steven Furtick, sunday sermon (June-07-2020). “I’m tired.” Have you said that lately? When you’re tired on the inside, it’s all too easy to feel drained, overwhelmed, and like nothing is going to change. In “Tired On The Inside,” Pastor Steven shares from the story of the woman at the well in John 4, showing us how powerful rest can be –– if we’re looking for it in the right places. But what if one of the reasons we’re tired all the time is because we’ve been going to the wrong well? What if we’ve been running to sources of stress instead of God’s source of rest? Being weary doesn’t mean we’re weak. Maybe it just means we’ve been “filling up” in the wrong places. Maybe we’re tired because we’ve been pushing against what God is trying to call us into. He said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11 verse 28). Are you ready for true rest?

Your Praise Breaks Chains (June-06-2020)

Steven Furtick (June-06-2020) Your Praise Breaks Chains. If you want to experience freedom, you're going to have to praise God before the chains come off.

Steven Furtick (June-06-2020) Message: Your Help is Already There. On TBN's special, Anxious for Nothing, hosted by Max Lucado, Steven Furtick discusses the power of perspective. Unpacking the story of Elisha, Pastor Steven Furtick shares about what happens when your vision of God is obscured by something small ... and reminds us that when Elisha prayed, help did not come, help was already there.

Do you feel like you can’t get it together right now? Whether this is the most overwhelming season or it’s just difficult to process right now, how you feel is not the final word over your situation. In the sermon, Don’t Hold Your Breath, Pastor Steven Furtick offers a challenge: stop describing your problems and start declaring God’s promises over your problems. It’s ok if you don’t have your life together. God didn’t ask you to have your life together before you come to Him. Through the scripture Ezekiel 37 verses 1-10, we discover the power of not only declaring the promises of God, but allowing Him to breathe into your life. As Pastor Steven shares, "the Devil knows if you ever make the sound your life was intended to make, if you ever line up straight with the Word of God, if you ever catch this breath God is breathing, you'll be unstoppable.” So you don’t have it all together? That’s ok. God is still with you in it.

Thanking God For Today - Steven Furtick Motivation (June-05-2020).  1 JOHN 3:5 But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin.
