John Hagee (August-07-2022) Daily Devotional: 2 Peter 3:9 - The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
God holds the stopwatch in His hand. From the first morning of creation – before sin ever entered the equation – God knew the day, the hour, the very second that Christ will return to catch away His church.
Peter warned that doubters would have plenty to say before His return. Where is this Jesus? What happened to His promised return? From the beginning of time until this very day, everything continues the same (2 Peter 3:4).
Those scoffers do not know the God Who spoke, and galaxies spun into existence. He hung the moon and named the stars. He caused the oceans to teem with life and the dry land to rise from the waters. He prompted the grass to spring from the soil and created the cattle to graze. He spoke, and it was good.
His Word remains good today. He is not slow about keeping His promise. His loving patience actually has led to His restraint, to hold off the end so that every person can come to repentance. He does not want anyone to be forever lost.
At the appointed time – like a thief in the night – He will keep His promise. The eastern sky will split, and the trumpet will blast. Are you ready?
Blessing: May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. May you grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus as you eagerly long for that God-appointed day!

John Hagee (July-13-2022) Daily Devotional: 2 Peter 3:9 - The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
Pastor Matt Hagee grew up in a church that preached the Word of God and believed wholeheartedly in its truths. All of his life, he has heard that we are living in the last days and that Jesus Christ is coming soon.
Elder church members have pointed to various events and declared them to be signs of the times. A long drought, a stock market crash, wars, the fall of prominent leaders – all proof that Jesus’ second coming was imminent.
Simultaneously, scoffers also existed to question His return. Ironically enough, scoffers themselves are actually a sign of the times. In 2 Peter 3:3-4, he tells us that scoffers will appear in the last days questioning Jesus’ return and pointing out how everything continues just as it did from creation’s beginning.
Pastor Matt is a sixth-generation pastor. When his great-great-great-grandfather stood in the pulpit, many end-time prophesies had not been fulfilled. Things were unclear when his great-great-grandfather pastored. A generation later, we still had unanswered questions.
Today, though, Pastor Matt can tell us things that they never could – not because of greater intellect, but because every major Biblical prophecy has been fulfilled. We are poised on the brink of His promise, that much closer to the time of Jesus’ return!
Blessing: - May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. May you be found in the presence of Jesus at His coming – our hope, joy, and crown of rejoicing!
