Christian Motivation - The Incredible Truth About Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
The Nature of Baptism.
Let us now consider the nature of the baptism experience as illustrated in the Bible and not as people sometimes talk about it in their testimonies.
When the Scriptures speak about the Holy Spirit's baptism, in no case is there a direct reference to any kind of emotion. Of course, it is very natural for people to articulate how an experience has affected them.
If our emotions were greatly stirred, that is what we will highlight. However, this is not what the word of God emphasizes. You can see for yourself that there is no distinct reference to emotion in the different places where the baptism in the Holy Spirit is written and illustrated.
The prayers are located at the end of the video.

TD Jakes Daily Devotional February 19, 2024 - The Transformative Power of Baptism.
Bible Quote: "Jesus answered, 'Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.'" - John 3:5 (NIV)
As we gather here, let's dive deep into the profound symbolism of baptism in the Jordan River, as experienced by Jesus, and explore its implications for our lives today. This act of baptism, performed by John the Baptist, was not just a ritual; it was a declaration, a divine demarcation that set the stage for Jesus' ministry.
The Jordan River, flowing from the heights to the depths, serves as a powerful metaphor for life's journey. Just as Jesus entered these waters, so too are we called to step into our Jordan, to confront the wildernesses of our lives, and to cross over into our promised destinies.
Baptism in the Jordan signifies a washing away of the past, a burial of the old self, and a rebirth into a new life. This sacred act is a mirror reflecting our transformation, reminding us that no matter the burdens we carry, they can be washed into the sea of forgetfulness, never to be remembered again.
The wilderness lies on one side, and Jerusalem, the city of peace, on the other, with the Jordan as the dividing line. This is not just geography; it's theology. It's about crossing from our trials and tribulations into a place of victory and peace. Jesus' journey through the Jordan into the wilderness and back symbolizes the cycle of death, burial, and resurrection that we are all invited to participate in.
But let us remember, the power of baptism goes beyond the water; it's about the transformation that occurs within. It's about breaking the flow of our former lives and stepping into the divine current that leads us to our God-given destiny. It's about recognizing that our past, with all its curses and failures, has been submerged in the depths of God's grace, where nothing of our former selves can grow or hold us back.
As Jesus emerged from the Jordan, empowered by the Spirit, so too can we rise from the waters of baptism, renewed and ready to face our wilderness, knowing that we are not alone. For in breaking the flow, God himself has set us on a new path, a path that leads to life, to growth, and to the fulfillment of our divine purpose.
Let us pray for the courage to step into our Jordan, to embrace the washing away of our past, and to walk boldly into the future that God has prepared for us, breaking every flow that seeks to keep us bound.
Final Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of baptism, for the washing away of our past, and for setting us on a new path in You. Give us the strength to break the flows of our old lives and step into the currents of Your will. Help us to navigate the wildernesses with faith, knowing that You are with us, leading us into our promised land. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

David Jeremiah (September-10-2023) Daily Devotional: Big Moments: Baptism
Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. Acts 2:41
Recommended Reading: Acts 2:40-47 - A VITAL CHURCH GROWS - 40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” 41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. 42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. 44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. 46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.
Earlier this year, joy broke out in a jail in Walker County, Alabama. The sheriff’s office announced that 41 inmates had been baptized and 10 others had given their lives to Christ. The sheriff’s office encourages pastors to visit the jail on a daily basis. Sheriff Nick Smith said, “If we can help people break the chains of addiction, then I believe that they can live a better life both here on Earth and eternally. I’m proud of each of these people that made a declaration of their faith today.”[1] Some of the new believers have been convicted of murder; others had traffic violations. But on that day, the Body of Christ came together to worship and wonder at the grace of God.
Have you been baptized? It’s one of life’s big moments. It’s a public confession of a private decision. No one can see the secret work God has done in your heart, but they can see you testify about it. If you’d like to learn more about baptism, talk with a pastor or church worker. Don’t put it off any longer. It’s wonderful to make a bold declaration of our faith!
Baptism is an outward expression of an inward faith. - Watchman Nee
