Watch Bill Johnson Full Sermon - The Danger of Gossip in the Church. Gossip is deceptive and destructive in nature. Through gossip, the enemy seeks to destroy both the one the gossip is about, as well as the gossiper. In this full sermon, Bill Johnson warns about the danger of gossip in the church, and how it creates a stronghold for the enemy. Though the enemy may not be able to cool our affection for the Lord or distract us from our passion for Him, he works to defile the anointing we walk in through carelessness in our speech or animosity harbored in our hearts towards others.

9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. 10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; 11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; 13 distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. 17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.
According to the Center for the Study of Global Christianity, there are approximately 45,000 Christian denominations in the world—with more than 200 in America.[1] Most of those denominations have arisen due to doctrinal differences, choices which must be respected among people of good conscience. But too often splits among groups of Christians happen for less than noble reasons.
At the Last Supper with His disciples, Jesus gave them a “new commandment”: “Love one another; as I have loved you . . . love one another.” He then went on to say that their love for one another is what would distinguish them after He was gone (John 13:34-35). Their love for one another is what would let the world know that they were His followers. Thankfully, even in spite of differences, most Christian denominations express love for other groups. And believers in individual churches should do the same.
Consider ways to express love for your leaders and fellow believers—especially those with whom you may differ on some matters. Let Jesus love the Church and the world through you.
In necessary things, unity; in doubtful things, liberty; in all things, charity. - Richard Baxter
Derek Prince - Sermon: True And False Church - Part 2.
Two opposing churches are coming to fulfillment in our time. The True Church produces a martyr and a bride; the false church produces a murderer and a harlot.
