Jack Hibbs - Watch Message: Is Fear Controlling You?

Have you noticed how fear controls how people process events and information? It's causing divisions in families and fractured relationships. So if COVID has rocked our world and many's Faith, what are we going to do when something even more fear-inducing comes our way?

We need to stop parroting the rhetoric that's been doled out by people who said they were experts. Unite your family if that applies to you. If fear has robbed you blind, get back to the Word of God. Get back to Faith, wash our hands and let's get out there and love people because Christ is coming back; that's what you should be concerned about.

Jesus is coming and when he comes, are you going to get caught being busy about your Father's business?

Charles Stanley (January-07-2023) Daily Devotional: The Landmine of Fear

Though some apprehension is healthy, fear shouldn’t be a way of life for the Christian.

Isaiah 41:8-10 - ``But you, Israel, My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, Descendant of Abraham My friend, You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, And called from its remotest parts And said to you, `You are My servant, I have chosen you and not rejected you. `Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'

Since our world has many dangers, we have legitimate reasons to be afraid. But Christians shouldn’t live in trepidation as a way of life, because God’s awesome promises allow us to be at peace in every circumstance.

For our protection, God has instilled some natural apprehensions in us, like a fear of snakes or deep water. He also gave us a warning system so that we could react quickly to danger. For instance, if a car speeds toward us, an instantaneous reaction of alarm could save our life.

But a constant, all-consuming dread is unhealthy. Most of our fears relate to dangers that might occur, threatening the welfare of loved ones, financial stability, or future security. Our attention is then centered on these concerns rather than on the One who promises to hold us in His hand (Isa. 41:10 - `Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'). As anxiety grows, trust in the Lord weakens, and we become consumed with worry.

Instead of going down this route, ground yourself in Scripture, and don’t allow apprehension to blind you to God’s promises. Believe what He has said in 2 Thessalonians 3:16 - (Now may the Lord of peace Himself continually grant you peace in every circumstance. The Lord be with you all!), and ask “the Lord of peace” to “continually grant you peace in every circumstance.”

Joyce Meyer (November-06-2021) Daily Devotional: Combating Fear with Prayer

Fear attacks everyone. It is the enemy’s way of trying to prevent us from enjoying the life Jesus died to give us. If we give in to fear and if we give voice to it, we open the door for the enemy and close the door to God.

But rather than give in to fear, we can learn to boldly confess that God is our Helper, our Refuge, and our Stronghold.

The Bible teaches us to watch and pray. Matthew 26:41 (AMPC) says: All of you must keep awake (give strict attention, be cautious and active) and watch and pray, that you may not come into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

The major reference in this passage is to watch out for ourselves and the attacks that the enemy launches against our minds and our emotions. When these attacks are detected, we can pray immediately. It is when we pray that power is released in our lives—not when we think about praying later.

I encourage you to watch and pray about everything. I believe you will find this decision to be one that will produce more joy and peace for your everyday living.

Prayer Starter: Lord Jesus, I want to live in true victory, understanding that to live a victorious life, I need to dedicate myself to prayer. Help me to watch a pray about everything so that more peace and joy will be produced in my life. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Joel Osteen - Watch Motivation: Don’t Let Fear Stop You. On the way to your destiny, God is going to ask you to do things that require great trust. You can’t have extra mile obedience, if you’re not convinced that God is going to take care of you, that He has the favor, the blessings, the funds, the people, the confidence, to get you to your purpose.

As the concept suggests, a preacher is one who practices the art of preaching. The word "preaching" is originally associated with the religious sphere of activity. Language researchers note that of all religious texts, this word - like the type of activity itself - is most closely associated with Christianity. Preachers teach Bible truths when speaking to believers or unbelievers.

Most of the Bible's sermons are in the New Testament. The sermon, as we find it in the Book of Acts and the Epistles, is expressive, but at the same time brief. It is built on the fundamental truths of Christianity: the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The preaching of the Church, in whatever form it is delivered - be it an ardent call to repentance for sins and salvation or the gospel story of a relationship with God and people - is by nature Christocentric.

Christian online preaching isn’t just a statement of spiritual truths, but as a sacred act, during which the preacher, in cooperation with the Lord the Holy Spirit, accomplishes the work of salvation for unbelieving listeners and the process of spiritual growth for the saved. Words spoken by a person cannot strengthen faith, but the biblical sermon in the mouths of preachers has a special power that can transform a person's soul. It is on this supernatural power of preaching that the preacher's authority is established.

Despite the fact that the evangelical Church teaches about the priesthood of every born-again Christian, in the work of biblical preaching, special attention is paid to the character and moral character of the preacher. The moral right to proclaim eternal biblical truths, to preach the Gospel from the pulpit or in another setting on behalf of the Church, can not only be those who know these truths, but who have Christian virtues, a character that reflects Christ. We are talking about a person who sincerely loves God and the people to whom he addresses, deeply interested in the eternal and earthly well-being of his listeners. A person with the good name of a Christian, who has a "good testimony" confirmed by time and the Church. Since we are talking about eternal, enduring truths, the writing of which was inspired by the holy God, proclaim them on behalf of the Author, i.e. of God Himself, it is permissible for the one who knows Him personally, has constant communion with Him and obeys Him implicitly. From the point of view of the essence and basis of the message that he proclaims, the preacher is not the author of his message and therefore doesn’t have the right to change the truths being proclaimed. He represents the interests and fulfills the will of the One who authorized him for this with the authority of His glorious name, and, therefore, the preacher is obliged to accurately convey to his audience what was entrusted to him by God. Freely interpreting Scripture and presenting to the audience their own interpretation of eternal biblical truths, posing as God's revelation on behalf of God, is not only a distortion of the truth, but also an ethical violation that entails consequences. However, in the sermon, it is not forbidden to mention personal experience, as well as the experience of other people, examples from various areas of public life to the extent that these examples correspond to the truth and contribute to a more accurate and understandable message of it.

Of course, in the modern world, taking into account the development of communications, a preacher is expected to possess the skills of oratory. This is not a strict requirement, but it is always encouraged, as it is an undeniable advantage and serves the greater benefit and success of the preaching work.

There are many preachers in modern Christianity who have achieved recognized success in the preaching work.
