Expect His Goodness - Joel Osteen Today's Word (November-01-2021)
Joel Osteen (November-01-2021) Today's Word: Expect His Goodness. Today’s Scripture
Proverbs 13:12, NIV: Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.
Today’s Word: If you don't have hope that a problem is going to turn around, hope that a dream is going to work out, or hope that the new house is in your future, then your heart, your spirit, is going to be sick. When you're not hopeful, positive, and expecting God's goodness, something is wrong on the inside. We all go through seasons in life when things aren't exciting. It's easy to have the blahs and lose our enthusiasm. That's part of the normal currents of life. Nobody lives on cloud nine with everything perfect and exciting every day. Part of the good fight of faith is to stay hopeful in the dry seasons. When it's taking a long time, keep a smile on your face and all through the day say, "Lord, thank You that You have good things in store." Go out each day expecting His goodness, believing that the days ahead are better than the days behind.
Prayer for Today: "Father, thank You for the expectancy rising in my heart that You have good things in store for me. My hope is in You alone. I know that You have all of my situations figured out, and You'll get me to where I'm supposed to be. I expect to see Your goodness today. In Jesus' Name, Amen."

Recognizing the Goodness of God - Joel Osteen
Joel Osteen - Sermon: Recognizing the Goodness of God. James 1:17 says, “Every good gift comes from our Father in heaven.” You may feel like God isn’t working in your life, but God is constantly showing His goodness. The question is do we recognize it. Psalm 34:8 says, “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” (NIV) If you’re going to taste God’s goodness, you have to realize that every good break, every time you were protected, every door that opened, is God working in your life. It’s not a coincidence that you met your spouse and fell in love. It’s not a lucky break that you got your job. It was God’s hand of favor. The fact that your children are strong and healthy is not just good fortune. That’s God being good to you. All through the day we should be saying, “Thank You, Lord, for Your goodness. Thank You for my health. Thank You for my spouse. Thank You for the opportunity You have given me.” Be quick to give God the credit. As you acknowledge His goodness, you will see more of God’s hand in your life, your faith will increase, and you will walk in victory.

The Goodness of God - Joel Osteen Motivation
Joel Osteen - Motivation: The Goodness of God.
God’s dream for your life is much bigger than your own. God wants to take you further than you’re expecting. He wants to open doors that you could never open on your own. Paul said in Ephesians 3:20, “God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think.”
That means whatever you’re believing for, whatever you’re dreaming about, God wants to take that and make it bigger, better and more rewarding than you can ever imagine. God has already made His decision; He’s already decided to bless you. Now it’s up to you to believe and receive it. Joel will teach you how to believe God and get into agreement with Him. Your belief is what allows God to supersize your life, and that’s when He’ll exceed your expectations.
Kindness and Goodness - Joel Osteen Daily Devotion (September-19-2021)
Joel Osteen (September-19-2021) Daily Devotion: Kindness and Goodness.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek that which is good for one another and for all people. 1 Thessalonians 5:15, AMP
TODAY'S WORD: In Galatians 5, the Scripture talks about the nine fruit of the Spirit or the spiritual qualities that manifest in our lives when we allow Him to work in us. The more we invite God to move in our hearts and follow His Word, the more those characteristics will manifest in us.
Kindness and goodness are two of those fruit of the Spirit. The Scripture tells us that His kindness leads people to repentance. In other words, kindness advances the kingdom of God. The more kindness and goodness we show other people, the more we are acting like God. The Bible also tells us that what we sow, we shall reap. When we seek to do good to others, we will reap goodness in our own lives in return.
Today, look for ways to show kindness and goodness to the people around you, even when they aren’t kind to you. Don’t repay evil for evil. Take the high road. Bless those who wrongfully use you. Seek to do good, show kindness, and you will see it come back as a blessing in your own life in return!?
PRAYER FOR TODAY: Heavenly Father, thank You for displaying Your character through me. I choose to show kindness and goodness so that I can honor You with my thoughts, words and actions all the days of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.

See His Goodness - Joel Osteen Daily Devotion (May-25-2019)
Joel Osteen (May-25-2019) Daily Devotion: See His Goodness.
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Psalm 27:13, NIV
TODAY'S WORD: David was going through a tough time when he made the declaration in today’s verse. Things weren’t going his way. But he said in effect, “I’m not worried. I’m not upset. I am confident I will see God’s goodness.” In other words, “This situation I’m in may be rough, but that’s not going to steal my vision. That’s not going to cause me to give up on my dreams. I am confident that I will see God’s favor in a new way.” That’s what our attitude needs to be today because what you focus on is what you will see. No matter what the medical report says, no matter what your finances look like, no matter how bad that relationship may seem, be confident that you will see His goodness! He is the all-powerful, omniscient, Creator of the universe, and He holds you in the palms of His hands. Nothing is too difficult for Him. Take hold of this truth by faith and focus on His goodness today. Allow His peace to settle in your heart and mind as you move forward in His blessing all the days of your life!
PRAYER FOR TODAY: Father in heaven, thank You for Your goodness in my life. I choose to focus on You today no matter what my circumstances may look like. Give me Your peace as I keep my mind stayed on You in Jesus’ name. Amen.
SEE GOD’S GOODNESS IN THE MIDST OF EVIL - Joseph Prince Daily Devotion (April-29-2020)
Joseph Prince (April-29-2020) Daily Devotion: SEE GOD’S GOODNESS IN THE MIDST OF EVIL.
Matthew 2:13 …an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.”
God does not play a game of counterattack with the devil—the devil does something bad, then God steps in to bring something good out of it. The truth is, when something bad happens, it is the devil reacting to something good that God has started. The Lord once told me, “Tell My people that if they want to understand what I am doing, just look at what the devil is doing and see it in reverse. That is what I am doing, multiplied many times over.”
I see this truth in the Bible. When Christ was born, soldiers were sent to kill all baby boys under the age of two in Bethlehem. The folks in Bethlehem then would have seen only evil. But there were those like Mary who saw God’s goodness. They knew that God had sent a Savior into the world! The killing of the infants was just the devil’s reaction to the gift of salvation that God had sent.
The Lord showed me that this was how we were to look at the bird flu when it hit our region not too long ago. While I was pondering the significance of birds, the Lord showed me Matthew 6:26: “Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”
If God takes care of the birds, how much more will He take care of you! So, by attacking the birds with disease, the devil is, in essence, reacting to God’s provision for His people. In other words, he saw that God’s provision had already been released on His people in a big way!
With every new virus that the devil throws at us, you must discern that the devil is trying to pervert and reverse what God is already doing. Then, you will know that something good is going to come out of it. You see, every new strain of virus tells us that God has already released a new anointing of health for His people. And I believe that He releases new levels of increase for His people too. So don’t just see the evil. See the good that God is already doing!
