How To Be Born Again WITH POWER - T.B. Joshua Sermon. In this powerful message titled, ‘GOD’S SPIRIT’, Prophet T.B. Joshua shares the importance of becoming a Christian with the help of the Holy Spirit. “The challenges before us cannot be withstood without God’s Spirit.” - T.B. Joshua

Joyce Meyer (March-28-2023) Daily Devotional: Filled with the Holy Spirit.

We all need to be continually filled with the Holy Spirit. As believers in Jesus, we have the Holy Spirit, but perhaps have not surrendered ourselves entirely to Him for His use. That was the case with me for many years until I reached a crisis point in my life where I was no longer willing to limp along day after day with no real victory.

I ask God to do “something,” and I was open to whatever His plan was! I didn’t even know what I needed, but God did. He is always faithful to meet us right where we are and help us get to where we need to be.

I needed to be filled with God’s Spirit, and by His grace and mercy, I was. I still ask God regularly to fill me afresh with His presence and power and enable me to be all that He wants me to be. We need the power of the Holy Spirit in order to do God’s will. Never depend on yourself, for apart from Him you can do nothing (see John 15:5).

Ask for the fullness of God’s Spirit daily and you will experience closeness with God that is wonderful. When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, then you receive power to be His witness. You will change in amazing ways as you trust God’s power to enable and strengthen you.

Prayer of the Day: Father, I ask for You to fill me with Your Spirit today and every day. I am open to Your will and receive Your power and am ready to be amazed, amen.

Charles Stanley (March-14-2023) Daily Devotional: The Work of the Holy Spirit.

God doesn't expect us to figure life out on our own; He equips and guides those He has called.

2 Corinthians 3:1-6 - Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, as some, letters of commendation to you or from you? You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men; being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. Such confidence we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God, who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

God has a plan for every believer’s life, and He’s provided talents, abilities, and circumstances to fit with these individualized goals (Eph. 2:10). But God’s purposes for us can be fulfilled only as we depend on the Holy Spirit. Too often we try to tackle life by ourselves. For a while, we may succeed, but in the long run, self-reliance fails.

We cannot accomplish God’s plan our way and in our own power. It simply won’t work. In fact, being adequate in ourselves actually hinders us from doing what the Lord desires and stifles our spiritual growth. If we persist in arrogant self-reliance, we may have to experience failure so we’ll realize how weak we truly are. God lovingly breaks our pride by showing us that we’re inadequate without Him. Only by His strength and direction are we able to succeed.

Have you surrendered to the Holy Spirit’s control by acknowledging your weakness and recognizing His power, omniscience, and wisdom? The Lord doesn’t call you to live the Christian life in your own strength, which is a human impossibility. Rather, He wants you to yield control and let Him live His life through you.

Charles Stanley (March-13-2023) Daily Devotional: The Holy Spirit—An Absolute Essential.

Are you living with the strength, wisdom, and joy the Lord wants to give?

Romans 8:1-17 -Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and those who are in the flesh cannot please God. However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh-- for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, ``Abba! Father!" The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.

Of the three members of the Trinity, perhaps the most overlooked is the Holy Spirit. Yet He’s co-equal with the Father and the Son. The opening chapter of Scripture tells us that He existed before the formation of the earth and participated in creation (Genesis 1:2 - The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters; Genesis 1:26 - Then God said, ``Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."). Today, He plays a critical role in the salvation, spiritual growth, and empowerment of believers.

At the moment of salvation, God’s Spirit comes to permanently dwell within each new believer. His presence within us isn’t something we have to earn or acquire; it’s a gift to every child of God. His work is to transform us into the image of Christ, give us understanding of Scripture, convict us when we sin, empower us to overcome temptation and walk in obedience to God, and guide us throughout life. When we yield to His leadership, we’ll receive all the benefits of His work within us.

Are you experiencing the fullness of the Spirit? Though we’re never promised happy circumstances throughout life, the Holy Spirit can produce joy and contentment within us, even in trying situations. If you’re lacking in this area, pray for sensitivity and responsiveness to the Spirit’s instruction and leadership.

Popular sermons online

As the concept suggests, a preacher is one who practices the art of preaching. The word "preaching" is originally associated with the religious sphere of activity. Language researchers note that of all religious texts, this word - like the type of activity itself - is most closely associated with Christianity. Preachers teach Bible truths when speaking to believers or unbelievers.

Most of the Bible's sermons are in the New Testament. The sermon, as we find it in the Book of Acts and the Epistles, is expressive, but at the same time brief. It is built on the fundamental truths of Christianity: the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The preaching of the Church, in whatever form it is delivered - be it an ardent call to repentance for sins and salvation or the gospel story of a relationship with God and people - is by nature Christocentric.

Christian online preaching isn’t just a statement of spiritual truths, but as a sacred act, during which the preacher, in cooperation with the Lord the Holy Spirit, accomplishes the work of salvation for unbelieving listeners and the process of spiritual growth for the saved. Words spoken by a person cannot strengthen faith, but the biblical sermon in the mouths of preachers has a special power that can transform a person's soul. It is on this supernatural power of preaching that the preacher's authority is established.

Despite the fact that the evangelical Church teaches about the priesthood of every born-again Christian, in the work of biblical preaching, special attention is paid to the character and moral character of the preacher. The moral right to proclaim eternal biblical truths, to preach the Gospel from the pulpit or in another setting on behalf of the Church, can not only be those who know these truths, but who have Christian virtues, a character that reflects Christ. We are talking about a person who sincerely loves God and the people to whom he addresses, deeply interested in the eternal and earthly well-being of his listeners. A person with the good name of a Christian, who has a "good testimony" confirmed by time and the Church. Since we are talking about eternal, enduring truths, the writing of which was inspired by the holy God, proclaim them on behalf of the Author, i.e. of God Himself, it is permissible for the one who knows Him personally, has constant communion with Him and obeys Him implicitly. From the point of view of the essence and basis of the message that he proclaims, the preacher is not the author of his message and therefore doesn’t have the right to change the truths being proclaimed. He represents the interests and fulfills the will of the One who authorized him for this with the authority of His glorious name, and, therefore, the preacher is obliged to accurately convey to his audience what was entrusted to him by God. Freely interpreting Scripture and presenting to the audience their own interpretation of eternal biblical truths, posing as God's revelation on behalf of God, is not only a distortion of the truth, but also an ethical violation that entails consequences. However, in the sermon, it is not forbidden to mention personal experience, as well as the experience of other people, examples from various areas of public life to the extent that these examples correspond to the truth and contribute to a more accurate and understandable message of it.

Of course, in the modern world, taking into account the development of communications, a preacher is expected to possess the skills of oratory. This is not a strict requirement, but it is always encouraged, as it is an undeniable advantage and serves the greater benefit and success of the preaching work.

There are many preachers in modern Christianity who have achieved recognized success in the preaching work.
