Daily Devotional (March-26-2024) My Lord and my God.
Scripture Reference: John 20:27-28 - Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
After seeing and hearing Jesus, Thomas makes two confessions. First he says to Jesus; you are my Lord. This is the first and most important confession we can make. Paul says in the letter to the Romans that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord you shall be saved. To confess that he is Lord is more than just believing he is the Lord of the universe. It is more than believing he is Lord over all powers. It is to confess like Thomas did. You are MY Lord. I hereby give ruler ship over to you. From this moment I declare that you are My Lord. You will make the descisions in my life from now on. This is a confession modern Christians don’t like. They like to “receive” him as their personal savior, and not as Lord. They want him to save them, but not rule over them. Jesus can only be savior, if he is also our Lord. He is Lord AND savior.
The second confession Thomas makes is that Jesus is God. He is not just a second person in the Godhead, or a demigod. He is God. Everything that God is, he is. ALL the fullness of the Godhead dwells in him. Not just a part. This is also something religious people don’t like. It is ok to make him devine. It is ok to make him supernatural. But don’t say that he is God. This is what nailed him to the cross. This is the reason they picked up stones to stone him, because as they said; you declare yourself to be God.
There are two confessions the enemy hates. One is that Jesus is Lord, and the other is that he is God. The enemy wants us to be in the drives seat of our lives, because we are easily manipulated and influenced. He cannot manipulate Jesus. That’s why I confess Jesus to be Lord of my life. He hates the confession that Jesus is God, because that makes him scared. The bible says the Devil believes that there is but One God and he trembles.
Let us make the Devil tremble. Let us make him upset. Let us confess Jesus; My Lord and my God
Daily Devotional (March-21-2024) The Lord is My Guide
Scripture Reference: Psalms 16:7 (NLT) - “I will bless the LORD who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me.”
Have you ever had a deeply complex situation, way over your head, you were not sure what you were going to do, and then someone who was very familiar with your situation, showed you the way out? What a blessing! There is nothing worst than being in a deep forest and not know where you are. How thankful I was to have a guide who knew every square inch of the deep terrain we were in. It is that way in life. Every day has new challenges. Just when you think you know the terrain, you turn a corner and “bam” you don’t know where you are. Panic, frustration, doubt and fear start to set in and then you remember, “Why am I worried? The Lord is my guide!” And He is. David believed this. He knew what it was to depend on God. He knew what it was to be in circumstances where he wasn’t sure which way to turn. So he blessed the Lord who was his guide. This same God who instructed him during the night. Today, try it. Let God guide you. Call out to Him for wisdom, instruction, help and strength for all you do. He will be your guide.
Prayer: Father, be my guide. I need Your wisdom, Your strength, Your guidance. Thank You, Lord, that You love me and long for me to come to You for help. I come now, Lord Jesus. AMEN
Joseph Prince (March-20-2024) Daily Devotional: Follow the Lord
Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb . . . because he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel. - Joshua 14:14
What are your eyes fixed on today? Are they focused on the darkness that is in the world? Or are they fixed on the Lord’s promises for your life?
My chief intention in this devotional is to turn your eyes away from the destruction you see every day, and to turn them to our beautiful Lord Jesus.
Do you know what Caleb’s secret to long life was? The passage above tells us that it was found in simply following the Lord.
Hebron was the name for one of the cities of refuge instituted by the Lord. In Hebrew, Hebron means fellowship or “association.” This speaks of intimacy, closeness, and connection with the Lord.
There is no formula to long life. The prayer of protection is not a mantra. What we need to note is the importance of having an intimate relationship with Jesus.
Our Lord Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. He came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Follow Him and find the path to a long and abundant life.
Don’t forget that everything Caleb experienced was under the old covenant. His renewal of youth and unabated strength and vigor were all experienced under the old covenant.
How much more should we be experiencing this renewal of youth, boundless energy, and length of days under the new covenant of grace that is established on better promises (Heb. 8:6)! Amen!
In a psalm that Moses wrote, it says, “The days of our lives are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they are eighty years” (Ps. 90:10). Some people have used this to teach that our expected lifespan is therefore between seventy and eighty years.
But it is important we interpret this psalm in the context of the children of Israel being in the wilderness and under God’s wrath. We have also seen that even under the old covenant, Caleb transcended this lifespan and was still going strong at eighty-five years old.
So dear reader—you who are under the new covenant—I encourage you to aim high. Don’t settle for living till just seventy or eighty years old, when God has promised, “With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation” (Ps. 91:16).
Your satisfaction is the limit and according to your faith, be it unto you. I pray that as you stay close to our Lord Jesus, you will live long, live strong, and live under the protective covering of His wings.
Daily Devotional (March 13, 2024) DELIGHT YOURSELF IN THE LORD.
Scripture Reference: Colossians 3:1-3 - If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
Receiving Jesus gave us regenerated spirits as His union with us is union with our Spirits. (See 1 Corinthians 6:17). We have received the gift of eternal life and reconciliation with God, however, there is still the need to unlearn the old life. We have been saved from the dominion of sin to now exercise dominion over sin and what this means is that we can say no to sin. We can push back and overcome. We are not helpless in the fight to subdue the flesh. We can now have a say over what we desire.
We can train ourselves to come to love the things of God. We can train ourselves to genuinely want and enjoy God above all else. Let's seePsalm 37:4, It says, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." To delight in something or someone is to derive great pleasure from that person or thing. To delight in God is to be pleased with simply enjoying the beauty of His person above all else. While this ultimately and eventually involves and commands our emotions, the initial emotional motivation might be absent. How then do we delight in God even when our feelings are saying otherwise? We must push past that lack of motivation and seek Him dutifully.
Delighting in God is not simply an emotional thing, it is more of a habit that we build till it becomes second nature and till it becomes a practice we actually look forward to and enjoy. This is how we can condition our appetites and desires. Engage in doing the things of God long enough until you actually want to. It is easier to pray yourself into feeling like praying than it is to wait till you feel like praying to pray. Impose the exercise of godliness on your feelings and they will catch up soon enough. Condition your appetites! Exercise yourself unto godliness.
DECLARE THIS: I have received freedom from the flesh so I walk in it! I embrace my realities in Christ and I walk in authority of sin and self. I delight myself in the Lord. Glory!

Matt Hagee - Sermon: The Lord is My Keeper. Not everybody who has a position has power. But those who serve God will always have power. As watchmen, we must take on the mindset that we have the great privilege to watch over our family, our community. Stay focused. We must watch out one for the other, united to fight against evil.
Joyce Meyer (February 17, 2024) Daily Devotion: Lord, Teach Me to Pray.
One of the most important, life-changing prayers a person can ever utter is: “Lord, teach me to pray.” It’s not simply, “Lord, teach me to pray,” but “Lord, teach me to pray.” You see, simply knowing about prayer is not enough; we have to know how to pray—to talk and listen to God—as individuals who are in an intimate, dynamic personal relationship with the God to Whom we pray. Although there are principles of prayer that apply to everyone, we are individuals and God will lead each of us to pray and communicate with Him in uniquely personal ways.
There was a time when I attended many “prayer seminars,” and then attempted to duplicate in my prayer experience what I heard others say about the way they prayed. Eventually, though, I realized God had a personalized prayer plan for me—a way for me to talk to Him and listen to Him most effectively—and I needed to find out what that was. I started by saying, “Lord, teach me to pray.” God answered me in a powerful way and brought wonderful improvements to my prayer life.
If you want to enjoy a deeper, intimate, powerful relationship with God through prayer, I encourage you to say, “Lord, teach me to pray.” He’ll do it, and you’ll soon find greater freedom and effectiveness in your prayer life. God will lead you in a unique, fresh plan that works wonderfully for you.
Prayer Starter: Father, thank You that I can freely and confidently come to You and pray about anything. Teach me to pray. Help me to learn and enjoy the unique, personalized prayer plan You have for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
David Jeremiah (February-07-2024) Daily Devotional: Racing to Please the Lord.
Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. - 2 Corinthians 5:9
Recommended Reading: Psalm 69:29-33 - But I am poor and sorrowful; Let Your salvation, O God, set me up on high. 30 I will praise the name of God with a song, And will magnify Him with thanksgiving. 31 This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bull, Which has horns and hooves. 32 The humble shall see this and be glad; And you who seek God, your hearts shall live. 33 For the Lord hears the poor, And does not despise His prisoners.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. said about his father and namesake, the famous NASCAR driver, “You wanted to please him all the time, make him happy.” That’s the way most of us feel about someone we admire. But sometimes we forget that our greatest satisfaction in life comes from pleasing our Heavenly Savior.
Just as Jesus focused on pleasing His Father, we should strive to please Him by living with virtue. Peter told us to add to our faith, virtue; and to virtue, knowledge (2 Peter 1:5). That involves having the attitudes and actions that please the Lord. Ephesians 5:10 says: “And find out what pleases the Lord” (NIV). Colossians 1:10 tells us to “live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God” (NIV).
Ask the Lord today to enable you to please Him in every thought, deed, habit, and word.
Every Christian should have a passion to please God. We are to delight in honoring Him. It is our greatest pleasure to please our Redeemer. - R. C. Sproul
