Joseph Prince (October-06-2022) Daily Devotional: The Secret to Receiving Your Miracle
I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ. - Galatians 3:5 NLT
I attended a conference years ago and remember hearing about all kinds of things that we had to do to work the miracles of God. For instance, we were told that we had to pray long prayers.
Please don’t misunderstand me. I am not saying that there is no place for long prayers.
I love going to my Abba to just spend time talking to Him. I have also taught our church about the importance of praying, especially praying in the Spirit regularly. But is the secret to having miracles take place in your life found in praying, or even in fasting forty days and forty nights, as others say?
Some people think they can twist God’s arm with their efforts and convince Him that they deserve a breakthrough or miracle from Him. Do you really think that because you have fasted or prayed for long periods of time, God is impressed with you and has to answer your prayers?
Come on, my friend, the only reason God answers our prayers today is the finished work of Jesus. Don’t be deceived any longer. God is a debtor to no man. No man can deserve God’s blessings through his self-efforts. It is not about our sacrifices. It is about His sacrifice!
All God sees is the work of His Son on the cross, and by virtue of Jesus, all His blessings and His miracle-working power are yours when you believe in His Son.
Read today’s scripture carefully for what Paul said to the Galatians who were depending on their self-efforts. Then, consider all the people who received miracles from Jesus during His ministry on earth.
Not a single one of them deserved it. They did nothing to earn their miracles. They simply received their miracles because of His grace.
A few years ago, the Lord spoke to me and said, “When My people see My grace, I see their faith.” Do you remember the woman with the issue of blood who had been bleeding for twelve years?
According to the law of Moses, she was considered unclean and was not supposed to be out in public places, much less touch anyone. Yet, the Bible tells us that “when she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment” (Mark 5:27).
She must have heard the wonderful testimonies of the people Jesus had touched and healed, and these accounts opened her eyes to see Jesus as a gracious Savior overflowing with mercy and compassion.
The result? Faith ignited in her and the moment she touched the hem of His garment, she received her miracle.
Was she ever conscious of her faith? No, she was conscious only of Jesus and His grace. When she saw His grace, He turned around and saw her faith. With great tenderness, He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well” (Mark 5:34).
My friend, you do not have to try to conjure up faith for healing or finances. Faith for any breakthrough or miracle in your life springs forth when you see His grace.
He died so that you might live! You did not deserve it, but He still did it for you.
See Jesus on the cross for you—the demonstration of His unconditional love and amazing grace. And when you see His grace, you will have unconscious faith to receive your miracle!
Daily Devotional (September-25-2022) WHAT IS A MIRACLE?
Scripture Reference: Luke 23:8 - And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him.
Herod desired to see Jesus perform some kind of miracle, and some of the questions he asked Jesus made this desire obvious. However, Jesus did not use His faith to do any miracles for Herod.
Miracles are God’s way of meeting the needs of those who seek Him in faith. Miracles will sometimes be used to demonstrate God’s ability so that people may believe (Mk. 2:10-11), but they will not happen to skeptics who are tempting God (Lk. 4:9-12).
A miracle is a supernatural intervention of God’s power over natural law.
Healings occur within the boundaries of natural law while miracles are not limited to natural law. A person with a high fever who receives prayer and then begins to recover is experiencing a healing. The Lord intervened but in natural ways. The virus, infection, or whatever was rebuked left the body (Lk. 4:39) and then the natural healing process that the Lord built into all of us took over. When something totally supernatural happens, that’s a miracle. When Jesus reattached the servant’s ear and it was instantly whole after Peter cut it off (Lk. 22:51), demonstrated a miracle. It was also a healing, but it was a miraculous healing.
Feeding the five thousand (Mt. 14:19-20), walking on the water (Mt. 14:25), translating a ship and all aboard to the other side of the sea (Jn. 6:21) – all these are miracles. Miracles are usually instantaneous whereas healings are sometimes gradual.
The Lord has never had anyone who was qualified working for Him. It’s by God’s grace that He uses any of us. Anyone who claims to be used of God because of his great holiness is either deceived or a deceiver. It’s our faith in the grace of God that allows miracles to flow through us.

A Miracle Put in Motion - Joel Osteen Daily Devotion (June-11-2021). Psalm 56:9, TLB The very day I call for help, the tide of battle turns. My enemies flee! This one thing I know: God is for me!
TODAY'S WORD: You have things you’re believing for—perhaps a dream to come to pass, your health to turn around, or to meet the right person. You’ve been praying for a long time, but you don’t see anything happening. It seems like God is on vacation and as though your prayers aren’t doing any good. But what you can’t see is that God is at work behind the scenes. Don’t believe the lies that say your praying, believing, and standing in faith is a waste of time. He not only heard your prayer, but He put the miracle in motion. In today’s Scripture, the psalmist says it happens the very day you call for help. In the unseen realm, God begins to change things in your favor. Just because you don’t see anything happening doesn’t mean the answer is not on the way. The people who see breakthroughs and promises fulfilled are the people who keep praying, keep believing, and keep standing in faith.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: “Father, thank You that You never take vacations, that You hear every prayer and see me standing in faith. Thank You that in the unseen realm You have put a miracle in motion for me. I believe and declare that the answer is on the way. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
