Behold Israel News - IAF and US Air Force Conduct ‘Desert Falcon’ Over Southern Israel
The two military sects cooperated in another airtime military exercise last week; The drill centered around combat readiness; Spokesperson: The exercise represents an important milestone in the strengthening of international-strategic cooperation between Israel and the American air force.
Last week, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) and United States Air Force (USAF) partnered in another airtime exercise over the Negev region of southern Israel. The drill, ‘Desert Falcon’, emphasized combat readiness, even simulating different combat scenarios. Desert Falcon is the latest in a series of joint military exercises between Israel and the US since the Jewish State joined CENTCOM (United States Central Command) last year.
In a statement released on Sunday, the IDF said, “The Israeli air teams flew ‘shoulder-to-shoulder’ with American teams and simulated joint responses to aerial threats and strikes on targets, through education, cooperation, and mutual growth.”
The exercise, according to a spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), “represents an important milestone in the strengthening of international-strategic cooperation between Israel and the American air force, and it contributes to the readiness of our troops.”
Citing a source from the IDF, The Times of Israel reported that the IAF utilized F-16 fighter jets and intelligence-gathering planes, while the USAF also used F-16s. Additionally, the drill was initiated from the Ovda Air Base.

As the Yemeni Civil War continues, pro-government fighters have reported the recent reclaiming of a key province from the Houthi Rebel militias; Control of the province reportedly took place after ten days of fighting.
According to pro-government Yemeni fighters, they have recently regained control of the Shabwa Province, which is crucial, especially regarding energy resources. Additionally, the soldiers continue to battle for control over Marib, which is considered one of the major strongholds of the pro-government military.
The fighters have received significant help from Saudi coalition military groups in recent weeks, and their assistance has changed the direction of the war. The coalition forces have reported strikes that killed dozens of Houthi fighters multiple times over the last couple of months.
Iran, the world’s number one sponsor of terror, funds the Houthis. On several occasions, vessels transferring weapons from the Islamic Republic to Yemen have been stopped and deterred by US Naval ships in the region.
The Yemeni Civil War, which began in 2014, remains the world’s largest humanitarian disaster. Nearly a quarter of a million people have been killed – thousands of civilians – and between 3-4 million have been displaced.

Behold Israel News - Morocco and Premiere Israeli Missile Production Company Discuss Potential Military Deal
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) is reportedly discussing a potential missile sale to Morocco; The possible deal would result in the African country receiving the Barak 8 missile defense system.
According to at least one recent report, Morocco has expressed strong interest in Israel’s elite Barak 8 missile defense system, which has a longstanding reputation for eliminating enemy projectiles. Israel Aerospace Industries (ISI) is currently discussing a potential sale with the northwestern African country. Nothing has been finalized yet.
IAI, which co-produced the Barak 8 with India’s Defense Research & Development Organization (DRDO), has not released a statement on the report. Regardless, according to recent satellite images, Morocco has been preparing for a missile defense system.
The Barak 8 is a surface-to-air missile often used for Israeli naval defense purposes. It can take down a variety of airtime threats, including enemy planes, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), and more.
Morocco joined the Abraham Accords in 2020, which was designed to strengthen ties between the Jewish State and the Arab world. The US Trump administration implemented the Accords in 2020, today consisting of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco.

Behold Israel News - Israeli Strike Rocks Latakia Port in Syria Overnight
Latakia Port, which is located along the Mediterranean coast, was hit by an alleged Israeli strike overnight on Monday; The same area was hit just weeks ago after Iranian military assets arrived in Syria, but this week’s attack is believed to be of far greater consequence.
In what is believed to have been targeting another shipment of Iranian weapons to Syria, an alleged Israeli airstrike hit the Latakia Port overnight on Monday, rocking the area. Secondary explosions and the fires that followed could be seen in videos on social media. According to some initial reports, Monday night’s strike was significantly greater than the attack at the same port just weeks ago.
At least one source even revealed that the explosions could be heard up to 50 miles away. The fires remained hours into the morning on Tuesday due to continued munitions explosions. According to Syrian state media, the strike caused “massive material damage.”
Furthermore, the shipping containers that were hit in the strike reportedly carried various weapons, military vehicles, and components for advanced missiles. It is believed these items were en route to Hezbollah in Lebanon.
The latest reports do not indicate any injuries or casualties. Israel has not commented on the strike.

In an attempt to combat the Iranian-backed terror front via the Houthi Rebels in Yemen, the US navy carried out a test with a new laser weapon in the Gulf of Aden; Reports indicate the test resulted in a success, and the weapon is believed to be effective in the fight against explosive drones.
The US Navy conducted a laser weapon test in the Gulf of Aden this week – located off the southern coast of Yemen – successfully hitting the designated floating target. The counter-terror test comes at a critical time, as explosive-laden drone strokes via the Houthi rebels in Yemen have become routine, often targeting the Saudi civilian population.
The successful test is a significant confidence booster for minimizing Houthi terror in the region. The test was carried out by the USS Portland and was followed by a report that the laser “successfully engaged” the target.
Captain Karrey Sanders, who was the commanding officer of the USS Portland in 2020 when a laser weapon test was facilitated, said after that test, “By conducting advanced at sea tests against UAVs and small crafts, we will gain valuable information on the capabilities of the solid-state laser weapons system demonstrator against potential threats.”
In reference to when the laser weapon system was paired with the USS Portland, Sanders added, “…we are redefining war at sea for the Navy.”
Not only does the successful test yield increased confidence in combating the Houthis, but it also provides an enhanced probability for ships to defend themselves.
